2017 NFL Week 17: Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 31, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

The game between Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins saw some crazy scenes as Kenyan Drake; Miami Dolphins running back and Jarvis Landry; wide receiver were ejected in the fourth quarter of the game. The game however remained one that the Buffalo Bills players and fans will remember for a long time to come. Buffalo Bills grabbed a 22-16 win against the Dolphins. This marked a victory of the teams first trip to the playoffs since 1999. The end of the 17-year-old drought was one that the players and fans will not be forgetting soon.

The Dolphins’s who ended their poor season with a disappointing performance had problems pointing towards poor coaching. The coaching staff kept making a series of mistakes and with every passing one the Bills kept getting closer to breaking their 17 -seasons run not making the playoffs. Laundry however was able to break his team record with 112 receptions for the season.

Kenyan Drake and Jarvis Landry’s poor behavior that led to both players ejection began with Laundry shoving Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer. This set off an unruliness in the game with players from both teams pushing over each other. Drake after being pulled from the pile ended up flinging his helmet across the field. Laundry has since apologized saying he was only trying to defend himself.

2017 NFL Week 16: Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, December 24, 1:00 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

Because of the conclusion of Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs, the Dolphins now is officially eliminated from post-season contention. It was a heart-breaking scene when with the final score of 29-13 the Dolphins (6-9) finished with a losing record (since 2006) for the 8th time and 14th time outside the NFL playoff in 16 years. For the Chiefs the win meant more than just winning the game as the win also allowed them to call themselves the AFC West Champions. The win also ensured that the Chief (9-6) will also be hosting a playoff game during January’s first weekend. The game was truly filled with controversies with so many missed tackles and wrongly-timed penalties. But three incidents shocked the fans.

First we have Guard Ted Larsen and his plenty on the second down incompletion which is being stated as very unsportsmanlike gesture. Second was the overthrowing of receiver Jakeem Grant with a screen pass by Jay Cutler on third-and-24, along with Jarvis Landry’s yelling at Coach Adam Gase during this time. And lastly we have Cody Parkey and his attempt of a 48-yard field goal with went to a wide left, and becoming only his second time missing for this year. The game, however, also saw Harrison Butker making 5 (out of 6) field goals which helped him to break the franchise record with 36 this very year.

2017 NFL Week 15: Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 17, 1:00 PM, New Era Field

Miami Dolphins faced off against the Buffalo Bills in what was both a highly anticipated match for the fans and a crucial one for both teams. LeSean McCoy led the team of Buffallo Bills to beat Miami Dolphins 24-16. McCoy scored twice keeping the Buffalo Bills firmly in the AFG playoff picture and becoming the 30th player to hit 10,000. On the other hand Tyrod Taylorwent 17of 9 for 224 yards passing and scored a touchdown. Buffalo managed to intercept ay Cutler to bring to a stop Miami’s first two processions of the game’s second half. Another stunning performance was when TreDavious White intercepted with 28 seconds remaining.

Miami’s loss eliminated them (6-8) from the playoff contention. On the other hand, Buffalo’s win improved 8-6 which led them to match the team’s highest record in 4 games during the team’s 17-year playoff drought. With this record, the Bills can go on with their playoff pursuit in the net season at New England. In this match the Dolphins seemed frustrated and made too many mistakes as their defense allowed the Bills to turn 7 of 15 third-down opportunities to convert 1 of 24. Overall, both teams delivered a stunning performance but the Buffalo Bills were more prepared and they came out victorious.

2017 NFL Week 14: Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots on Monday, December 11, 8:30 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

The rivalry between New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins is not one of the greatest in the NFL but has a long history dating back to the 1960s. The Dolphins leads all the time series by 54-51. At the beginning of this rivalry, the Dolphins had an upper hand. They were one of the most successful teams in the NFL whereas the Patriots were one of the worst teams. The rivalry became more even between 1986 and 2003. From 2003, the Patriots dominated this rivalry and continued doing so up to 2008. In their last NFL gameday, the Patriots were stunned by the Dolphins in 20-27 scoreline.

The Dolphins wore their perfect uniforms for the season. Xavien Howard intercepted Tom Brady twice to stop him from a third down conversion. This victory ended the Patriots eight-game winning run. The win also stopped the Patriots from clinching AFC East ninth consecutive title at least for now. After the game, Brady felt that this was a bad night for the Patriots. Actually, Brady had only one touchdown as the Dolphins sacked him twice. He was also hit five times while the Patriots team was restricted to 25 yards rushing. Jay Cutler threw 263 yards for the Dolphins and had three scores. Kenyon Drake had 79 receiving and 114 yards rushing. It was generally a good night for the Dolphins.

2017 NFL Week 13: Miami Dolphins vs Denver Broncos on Sunday, December 03, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

To create a change in the game, the Dolphins were able to maintain a lead. The lead continues to move in that prospect throughout the game. To complete the Dolphin’s 2nd touchdown, Xavien Howard was able to give back an interception in a 7-second period in the first quarter of the game. By having a victory over the Broncos, the Miami Dolphins were able to cancel a five straight loss of their games. The match ended 35-9 in the favor of the Dolphins. In the second quarter of the game, Dolphins remained in the lead, making it the second time throughout the season.

The Dolphins also continued to maintain the lead after the third quarter of the game. Since Week seven, the amazing defense of the Dolphins helped in winning the game over the Broncos. The Broncos has lost 8 of their games, making the condition to move from poor to worst. In a match, the Dolphins were able to score 2 safeties for the first time in the history of the team. The Broncos quarterback called Trevor Siemian was able to move from twenty to forty-two for two hundred and nineteen yards. Trevor had 3 sacks and three interceptions during the game. On the Miami side, Kenyan Drake was able to run for one hundred and twenty yards on twenty-three carries.

2017 NFL Week 12: Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots on Sunday, November 26, 1:00 PM, Gillette Stadium

The Patriots have played well to get a win against the Dolphins this time. The domination of the Patriots was amazing against the Miami Dolphins. Tom Brady and other players are becoming easy to overcome in the AFC. At 40, Tom is now appearing like an MVP. Tom was able to toss about 4 touchdown passes that help the Patriots move to a 35-17 win. The match helped to consolidate the Patriots 7th consecutive win. The Patriots are looking to face another four division opponent in the next match within 5 matches. For seventeen straight seasons, the Patriots have been able to win at least 9 matches.

Since 1970 merger, the current shape of the Patriots remains the most consecutive victory. One of the games that the Patriots will play for this current season again will be against the Miami Dolphins within 2 weeks. The Dolphins has lost 9 consecutive times in New England and 5 straight overall games by a combined score of 290-126. At this point, it does not make sense to say that the Dolphin’s current season is a total lost. Nevertheless, the Dolphins’ lost is getting to the tipping point.

2017 NFL Week 11: Miami Dolphins vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, November 19, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

On the other hand, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami was a very entertaining match to watch. It’s Dolphin’s season is over after they suffered an embarrassing 30-20 loss at the hands of Buccaneers. They are losers of four straight games and the season has proved to be a very bad one if they can barely beat the already Struggling Tampa Bay.The Dolphins made terrible mistakes that saw them penalized with 17 penalties for 123 yards. The question is how are they going to beat the Patriots and Chiefs who are among the teams they are to face with only six weeks left in this season.

The Dolphins have as many losses as they did in the previous year. The starting quarterback Jay Cutler, unfortunately, got knocked out of the game in first half. Jay Culter who threw three interceptions in the first half was evaluated to have concussion, and this may keep him out for the remaining games. At first, Dolphins defense was commendable, but the way they suddenly melted their defense was particularly very frustrating. The team will go next Sunday to New England a place they haven’t won a single match since 2008. The big question is, how are they going to pretend to manage to compete with the Patriots who have dominated the division for 14 good seasons? It’s game over for Dolphins!

2017 NFL Week 10: Miami Dolphins at Carolina Panthers on Monday, November 13, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Dolphins showed a poor play when they could not block Kawann short and the Panthers defensive line. The Panther’s running games and defensive back saw them run over nose diving the Dolphins with 45 points victory over Panthers 21. The Panthers outgained the Dolphins 548-313 and converted 11 of 14 third down and had 13 more first downs. They impressively controlled the ball for 35 and a half minutes. Running backs Jonathan Steward, Christian Mc Caffrey, and Cameron Artis-Payn put on a big show and each offered different dynamics to the offense.

The Miami Dolphins did not play a complementary football because every time the offense does something good, they defense sadly fails to back that with something good. The reverse is seen to be true. Later in the secondhalf, the Dolphins possessed the game well and showed they were in the game. The Panthers crashed in a big opportunity with a touch down after a leaping interception by Luke Kuechly along the left sideline.Miami Dolphinshave been very inconsistency in its entire life, and the same can be said about Cutler from Panthers despite showing some few bright spots in the recently played games.

2017 NFL Week 9: Miami Dolphins vs Oakland Raiders on Sunday, November 05, 8:30 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

The Oakland Raiders visited Miami and defeated the Dolphins twenty-seven to twenty-four. The Raiders were led by the passing of Derek Carr. The young quarterback threw for three hundred yards and a touchdown. Although Carr had a decent day the Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch was the star of the day as he ran for fifty-seven yards and two touchdowns. Carr’s main receiving target for the day was Tight end Jared Cook, who caught eight passes for one hundred and twenty-six yards. Carr’s second option Amari Cooper caught four passes for fifty-eight yards. Johnny Holston had one catch for a touchdown. The Raider Defense recovered one Miami fumble and sacked the quarterback once.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler threw for three hundred and eleven yards and three touchdowns. He completed thirty-four passes and did not throw one interception. Running back Kenyan Drake ran for sixty-nine yards on nine attempts and caught six passes for thirty-five yards. Cutler’s main target was Julius Thomas who caught six passes for eighty-four yards and scored one touchdown. Damien Williams and Jarvis Landry were the other two receivers to catch touchdown passes from Cutler. The Miami defense sacked Carr once and recovered a fumble. The Miami kicker Cody Parkey kicked a field goal for forty nine yards to complete Miami’s scoring.

2017 NFL Week 8: Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, October 26, 8:25 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

The Miami Dolphins recently traveled to meet with Baltimore Ravens in a match that proved embarrassing for them. Apart from the score sheet the game had some memorable moments that fans will remember for a long time with some not being so pleasant like when Baltimore’s quarterback had to leave the pitch bleeding. He was hit by one of the opponents when making an unexpected run after his helmet flew off his head. Even without their star player, the team managed to return two interceptions for touchdowns. This proved harder for the Dolphins to overcome even with their performance record of three consecutive wins in the games before this one.

Even with the opposition and losing one of their best players, Baltimore increased the gap to 7-0 and got additional 48 and 55 yard wins in the second quarter. The addition came when a Dolphins player missed the ball from 50 yards. At 14 minutes, Baltimore snatched another opportunity when they snatched a poorly thrown ball for the opponents and returned it for touchdown. They didn’t stop at that and went on to try for another score, which led to some of players exchanging shoves and punches. With all the squabbles, the wins, the injuries as well as a cat running into the field in the fourth quarter, the game was definitely entertaining for the fans.

2017 NFL Week 7: Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets on Sunday, October 22, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

The injured Jay Cutler was replaced by Matt Moore and threw 2 touchdown passes in the final twelve minutes to lead the Dolphins to return to victory. This win is the biggest for the Dolphins since last week. For the overachieving Dolphins, rallies are now becoming routine. By erasing a fourteen-point 4th quarter deficit to win the New York Jets at 31-28, the Dolphins pulled off another improbable victory on Sunday. For the Jets, Josh McCown was able to throw 3 touchdowns and a run. The interception of Josh’s in the final minutes was able to set up the victory field goal.

For a pass intended for Jermaine Kearse, Bobby McCain stepped in front to block it. This gave Miami the ball at the New York Jets twenty-seven with thirty-nine seconds remaining. With twenty-two second to go for the Dolphin’s first lead of the match, Cody Parkev kicked a thirty-nine-yard field goal. The remains the 2nd win in a row for the Dolphins at 4-2. The Dolphin’s were able to overcome a seventeen-point deficit in the 2nd half a week ago for an upset win against the Atlanta. When the margin is 7 points or less, they have been able to win twelve matches in a row.

2017 NFL Week 6: Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, October 15, 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Atlanta Falcons were in for a rude shock after leaving the first half with an advantage of the 17-0 lead. Miami Dolphins in the second half mastered 3 consecutive offensive touchdowns in the first 18 quarters. This brought on pulse leading them to score 2 during the second half. This was a commendable effort after losing Mike Pouncey their concussed center. “Coach said this would be down to the wire,” Jarvis Landry commented. Anthony Steen retorted the coach’s position ““He said let’s go out there and win the game.” The final result and the team’s performance in the second half revealed the teams drive to get the win as much as Gase needed it.

The two clutch Cody field goals and the exceptional defensive put on by the team steered he the Dolphins past the defending champions 20-17. The turning point was after Jay Cutler intercepted a throw which generated a 39% passer rating. Additionally, Xavien Howard permitted a 40-yard touchdown pass on to Marvin Hall. This was great performance considering he had come from a promotion the Saturday before the game. Coming from a streak where they had not made any offensive touchdowns in their first five games, Dolphins set a record of the same and left everyone awe with their win. Adam Gase was pleased with Jay Cutler for doing a great job in “hitting holes.”

2017 NFL Week 5: Miami Dolphins vs Tennessee Titans on Sunday, October 08, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

Jay Cutler was stubbornly stuck with Adam Gase until a quarterback eventually quenched the boobirds. While battling with many Dolphins’ 2017 home debt, Cutler drew some jeers. Cutler 4th quarter touchdown pass gave his time a huge victory on Sunday against the Titans at 16-10. For backup quarterback Matt Moore, the crowd and fans repeatedly chanted prior to Cutler eventually had the Dolphins with a fifty-eight-yard drive capped by a six-yard touchdown pass to Landry for the tie score. The Miami Dolphins climbed to .500 even with the offense that made three score touchdowns in 4 matches. For the second week consecutively, the Titans have lost their games. The Titans did not play with Marcus Mariota due to his hamstring injury last week.

Marcus was replaced by Cassel who went twenty-one, thirty-two and for one hundred and forty-one yards. Cassel was also sacked 6 times in a roll. In points, the Dolphins were ranked last in the NFL game. The team battled with the Titans enabling them to have fifty-seven against Houston last week. In the first three periods, Miami’s only TD emanated from Reshad Jones on a thirty-eight-yard return. This occurred when other team players on both clubs wondered if the match was over. While the official did not signal a score, the Titans didn’t make a move to pursue Jones.

2017 NFL Week 4: Miami Dolphins vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 01, 9:30 AM, Wembley Stadium

Learn to accept a draw was what has been told to Americans if they want to love soccer. The Miami Dolphins and the New Orleans Saints battled it hard in front of the British fans in the last NFL game. While there were a stodgy stinker, penalty-strewn, and an error-riddled arena, the match went tough for two prepared teams. The fans at the stadium count up to eighty thousand, spending their lovely three hours watching both teams. The game ended in the favor of the Saints winning the second London match at 20-0.

A few field goals and two amazing touchdowns from Wil Lutz are able to make the team win the game. On the last play before half-time, the first points of the game come blowing in. The game was full of fun after experience nineteen penalties within a short period of time. The second half of the game played well for the Saints exceptionally. The game remained safe by the touchdowns from Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas. The football halfway through the 4th quarter displayed a major blunder from Cutler. It finally made the game went in favor of the New Orleans. This is one of the funny matches in the season. While the Saints did not do any spectacular in the game, the victory moved towards their favor against their counterpart.

2017 NFL Week 3: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets on Sunday, September 24, 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

In the game of Miami Dolphins facing the New York Jets, Jay Cutler looked a bit rusty and inaccurate. His timing and rhythm were off. After his poor performance he got lots of criticism. The Dolphins would have been defeated if not for a lucky touchdown on their final offensive play. The game was kept alive by that touchdown and the Dolphins trail 20-0. Cutler was off target too many times. Because the play was about to expire, Jarvis Landry had to call timeout in the first quarter.

On the other side, the Jets were playing tougher and physical. Jesse Davis was exposed in this game in the second quarter by Demario Davis in the second quarter and in the fourth by Mo Wilkerson. Steve McLendon, a Jets defensive tackle, has managed to beat Pouncey.

This wasn’t a pretty game. Combined, the two teams got 18 penalties for a total of 145 yards. There were also three turnovers. However, despite the fact that this wasn’t a pretty game, the Jets defense was actually quite impressive. However, at the start of the fourth quarter Jets fans started to head to the exits despite being up by 20 points. The team’s first victory this year was witnessed by only a few.

2017 NFL Week 2: Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 17, 4:05 PM, StubHub Center

The Dolphins believed they won the game for the hurricane-ravaged state of Florida. This belated season opener game is a joy to the Miami Dolphins after coming from a devastating hurricane Irma. From fifty-four yards, Cody Parkey strikes his 4th field goal. In the fourth quarter, the Dolphins gained more enrgy to defeat the Chargers with a 19-17 score. With five seconds left, Younghoe Koo lost a 44-yard goal. Philip Rivers manage and turn the tides against the Chargers 0-2 in the final minute.

In the first home game of the Dolphins prior to relocating to the LA area, the 25,381 crowded fans shouted for joy. Jay Ajayi rushed for one hundred and twenty-two yards for the Dolphins while Jay Cutler passed for 230 yards. Jay Ajayi spent the previous nine days in CA after leaving Miami for flooding problem. After the home opener against Tampa Bay was shifted, the Dolphins were well-rested, leaving the team to play its current season opener since 1977. Most of the scoring on the Dolphin’s side was done by Parkey, connecting from 35, 28 and 30 yards prior to burying his biggest kick in the most nagging moments. Maybe fans can conclude the hurricane Irma brought some luck to the side of the Dolphins.

2017 NFL Week 1: Miami Dolphins vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 10, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

The Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins will open the season with a hurricane-banned message. The NFL has postponed the opener scheduled for November 19 due to the Hurricane Irma problems. Jamies Winston, the quarterback of the Buccaneers mentioned that the scenario is bigger than football. Jamies continued that he wanted everyone to remain protected and safe from the flooding damage. The possibility of moving the match to week 11 remains positive. This is because both teams will have enough time to come up with the best strategy to win the game. The National Football League officials have publicly announced that the match will not take place in Miami for now. The Federation of the game also stopped the idea of playing the game in another venue.

Dirk Koetter, Buccanneers coach mentioned that he did not see any possibility and feasibility to play the game on another site. He continued by saying that it will be impossible to ask people to travel for a game by leaving behind their families in the danger of Hurricane Irma. This weekend, it has been forecasted that Hurricane Irma will affect several areas in Florida. This led to extensive communication and speculation prior to the final decision. Both teams did not agree to switch to the match to November 19. This means that they will be playing the season without having any break. For this reason, both teams are calling for a short break and the Hurricane Irma can help achieve the goal. Until then, both teams will be on a wait for the Florida flooding to stop.

Preseason 2017 NFL Week 4: Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, August 31, 8:00 PM, U.S. Bank Stadium

Preseason 2017 NFL Week 3: Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, August 24, 7:00 PM, Lincoln Financial Field

In the offensive clash between the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday, a staggering 69 points were scored, in which the Eagles prevailed 38-31. All stats compiled, the combined efforts of the Miami and Philadelphia signal-callers tallied five touchdowns and five interceptions. A reason for hope emerged for the Eagle Nation, however, as Corey Clement burst into the spotlight, producing a solid showing. Also for the Eagles, a new face has begun to change the offense and their vertical ability.

Torrey Smith, who was injured for the last four games of the ’16 campaign, was signed by the Eagles in hopes of aiding their second year quarterback. The connection is nothing to ignore now, as they began the game with a long touchdown reception. On the other side of the field, Jay Cutler quietly put together a very strong showing, which was highlighted by a touchdown pass to Julius Thomas. Through all the controversy, Cutler looks poised to return to his old form in South Beach. Lastly, Jay Ajayi proved himself not to be a “one-year-wonder”, as he punched in two scores and a hefty 5.7 yards per carry average. The game ended with an Eagles victory, but both sides have much to be excited about.

Preseason 2017 NFL Week 2: Miami Dolphins vs Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, August 17, 7:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

Jay Cutler playing for Miami this season is going to be fun but it worries me the offensive line behind him that blocks for Jay Cutler. Thursday night loss to the Ravens was Cutler’s grand unveiling to Miami Dolphins though he didn’t get to play to his capacity he showed how good he really is and gave a lot of hope in coming days.

Sam young was the most outstanding and effective defender for the Ravens he is a reserve and was not likely to feature that night but due to the injury that the star player Ja’ wuan James had sustained, Sam young was given the starting spot. Sam young is a Dolphins player in case you were wondering.

Sam Young was not good at all he committed several mistakes including holding penalties and also erased an offense yard.

He was not the only one who struggled. Dolphins’ game was shaky and the players lack push and energy they committed several errors in front and the back. The head coach addressed some of the error his team made:

They committed penalties and should have been avoided, backup snapper Winston fired balls back this caused problems because he did that before most of the team mates were not ready. But as the game progressed they improved their play.

Preseason 2017 NFL Week 1: Miami Dolphins vs Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, August 10, 7:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

It was the starter of the preseason schedule and the mighty Miami Dolphins defeated the Atlanta Falcons. The game started rather slow but it was not for long when an aggressive Leonte Carroo stole the ball from a pass that had been offered by the opponent Brandon Doughty almost 33 yards away and this got the whole crowd in an uproar. Well, during the halftime session one couple got engaged as usual.

Raekown McMillan of the Miami Dolphins sustained an injury while in the game. The most important parts of the game were in the last rounds where everyone seemed to be hoping for an extra score. On the injury of linebacker Leonte Carroo much may not be for say but we do hope he would be in for the next game. During the game, we noted the absence of Jay Cutler having retired for one year from a 10 million dollar contract. The game was so exciting and full of actions and twists. Bottom line it was evident that the two teams had given it all their best for this starts the opener and we do wish them luck in their other matches.
