It has happened for the second time as Jacksonville Jaguars got the better of Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the stakes in this match were quite high for both the teams. The Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers has certainly been a big boost for the Jaguars. This win puts them in an advantageous position as they take on New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. However, the win also was a dampener of sorts for the fans. Had Steelers won this match then there would have been a fantastic Steelers versus Patriots rematch which actually never happened.

Though the entire match was exciting, there were some special moments, a few of which we could talk about. Jacksonville got off on the right note thanks to the highly attacking play of Myles Jack where one could see the best of offensive chops coupled with high class toe-chopping interception which gave Jacksonville the much needed six points. There was a fullback touchdown for Jacksonville that literally sealed the fat for Pittsburgh Steelers. The win was all the more special for Jaguars because of the stellar performance of veteran Ben Roethlisberger. There were some tense moments too when Maurkice Pouncey almost ran the risk of being suspended when he pushed a referee. However, the officials decided it was not a serious enough problem worth a suspension.

Higgins and Gordon came across some tight defense from the Steelers, a few times in the first half, with the added disorganised play from the Browns hampering play throughout. NFL Week 15: Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots on Sunday, December 17, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

New England and Pittsburgh faced off in a game that was likely to determine who would be the top seed in the playoffs in the AFC. This is a very important thing because playing in Pittsburgh or Foxboro is very hard. The Steelers looked very good because they were set up for a very good game against this Patriots team. However, Tom Brady came out and made sure that the offense in New England was able to move the ball more than Pittsburgh did.

The Steelers did not look bad, but they did not win the game. Because of this, they are in the second spot in the AFC. They will get a home game in the playoffs, but they will have to play the AFC title game in Foxboro if they get that far. The Patriots ensured that they would be at the top of every power ranking in the NFL, and they have shown that they can beat the Steelers in just about any situation. The Titans and 49ers was only an important game because it showed that Jimmy Garoppolo is the right man to start for the 49ers.

NFL Week 14: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, December 10, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

The rivalry between Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is considered one of the greatest within the National Football League (NFL). It started way back in the 2000s. The two teams belong to the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. For close to 20 years, the two teams have been meeting at least twice yearly for the divisional supremacy. Both teams have been known for fielding tough and hard-hitting defensive squads. The Steelers held off the Ravens in a thrilling game played the last NFL gameday. The game ended 39-38 in favor of the Steelers. Many people will argue that the Steelers won this game for Ryan Shazier (their injured star). Whichever the case, this win enabled the Steelers to wrap up the divisional contest.

The Steelers defense managed to overcome a sloppy evening to stop the Ravens’ last-minute insurgence. With just 42 seconds left, Chris Boswell made an impressive 46-yard field goal. Going into the fourth quarter, the Steelers were trailing the Ravens by 11 points. This victory was the eight straight one for the Steelers and gave them a third divisional title in 4 years. This was the highest-scoring game in their rivalry. Roethlisberger also achieved his third 500-yard throw when he threw 506 yards. NFL Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals on Monday, December 04, 8:30 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

Pittsburg Steelers met with Cincinnati Bengals in another intense match by rival teams. Even though they started strong, Bengals still lost the game leaving fans wondering how that happened. They began with a touchdown pass and field goal that gave them a 17-0 lead and with several injuries, the game was almost a sure win in their favor but ended with a 23-20 final score. Losing a leading tackler in the first quarter shook up the Pittsburg team but with several penalties, they managed to put up a fight and get the win. The Bangles also lost a linebacker shortly after.

Even after putting up a strong defense in the first half and placing a gap between them, Cincinnati played rough and got 13 penalties for unnecessary conduct, taunting, roughing a passer and unsportsmanlike conduct among others. This gave Pittsburg a chance to redeem themselves and they did it well to come from a possible loss. With a little over 3 minutes left, they managed to tie the score to 20-20, and scored a field goal with only a few seconds left in the game, which gave them the lead. The game had lots of personal fouls and injuries that affected both teams and could have long-term effects. The hosts tried but the loss has led to another drop for them.

NFL Week 12: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers on Sunday, November 26, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

The Green Bay remained relentlessly strong throughout the game. While the ball was still in the hands of the Steelers in just seventeen seconds to end the game, things never worked out well for them. Antonio Brown was on the side of the Steelers, but the proved to be difficult. A goal from Chris Boswell from a fifty-three yard made the Steelers happy again at the midfield, following a 31-28 escape. Behind Brown, the Steelers have been able to win its 6th consecutive match. Brown has been able to finish with two touchdowns and one hundred and sixty-nine yards and ten receptions.

Along the sideline on the premier snap, the largest grab occurred with a twenty-three-yard toe-tap of Brown’s last team. This enables the Steelers to move close to the Boswell’s range. In the initial stage, it appeared as if Brown was not on the pitch of play. Prior to ruling Brown, two officials conferred together for a space of fifteen seconds, which helped him to get both feet down. The Steelers moved closer with a conventional fourteen yard reception. To keep Pittsburgh tied with the Eagles atop the AFC, Boswell’s career-long blast moved inside the left corner. This kept Brown’s teammates looking for superlatives.

NFL Week 11: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Tennessee Titans on Thursday, November 16, 8:25 PM, Heinz Field

Both of these amazing teams are very much alive in their performances, but still, both of them haven’t met the preexpectations that were done before the gameday. As a matter of fact, Steelers were known as offenders to the NFL’s. And Titans were known as the dark horse of the Super Bowl contenders. QB Ben Roethlisberger of Pittsburgh was like a shell of his own former self and as for Titans, they also didn’t show that much effective production except QB Marcus Mariota. In comparison to the last week, these both teams can bring something for the gameday.

Steelers have a chance to struggle against Titans, as Steelers have the bright chance of busting out of their slump with a strong image in the coming gameday of NFL. And meanwhile, Titans can prove themselves on the NFL Gameday that they are worthy of record 6-3, which infact doesn’t seem like that they are going to get anytime soon. As for Steelers, they are creating an image of an obvious pick, but we all can be surprised if we see on the NFL Gameday that the Titans are hanging up with the Steelers.

NFL Week 10: Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 12, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers just rallied from an amazing two-touchdown deficit to beat the powerful Indianapolis Colts at the famous Lucas Oil Stadium this Sunday.

Chris Boswell was just amazing during the game because he just nailed a 33-yard goal in the field. The time was expiring when he did that, and he gave Pittsburgh the important win that they needed so much. The Colts were working hard to build a 17-3 lead because they were able to get some scoring strikes right away. Jacoby Brissett worked hard to get a 60-yard touchdown just in the second quarter creating the first points of the game. This is truly awesome and we want to see this player doing such as a great job again and again. Brissett also got a 60-yard touchdown later.

On Sunday’s match, the Chiefs discovered the effectiveness of Harrison. On a third touchdown, Harrison dropped Smith for a sack. This occurs when the Chiefs tried their effort to come back into the game. As Smith did not deliver positively, the Steelers took advantage to maintain a win. At halftime, Kansas City maintains 6 overall yards. In the fifth section, the Chiefs didn’t work things better and the opponent maintained a comfortable 3/2 lead. The Chiefs dropped an early from the Steelers four-yard line.

Most of the players from the Chiefs also tried their best as strength was not enough to accomplish their success of winning. As both teams prepare for another important meeting, it is a great deal take note of the previous match. At the moment, the winner of the match was Steelers.

NFL Week 5: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 08, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

In the first month of the season, the Jaguars are looking equally at an awful and awesome performance. The trend of the Jaguars is advancing in a game and receiving backlash in the next match. The Jaguars started a march against a team that is playing beyond the anticipation of January with their best players. The Jaguars noticed that Leonard Fournette can play better than what he use to be known for. The improvement of the Jaguars from match to another is making the team one of the biggest threats in AFC South.

Leonard has been able to sprint ninety yards and soared for a two-yard touchdown. On back-to-back Pittsburgh, the Jaguars used the Pick 6s method. The Jaguars’ techniques also drove the Steelers to a powerful match of winning 30-9. After 5 matches for the first time since 2010 and have been able to outdo their 2016 victory overall and above .500. The Jaguars rookie completed the deal with a season-high one hundred and eighty-one yards. With 1:47 minutes to go, the Fournette knockout punch delivered with his hand to the end of Heinz Field. NFL Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, October 01, 1:00 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens, 26-9, in what proved to be another game in the Ravens’ recent slump. Baltimore has lost its past two games after beginning the season 2-0, and this game continued the trend. Ravens quarterback and one-time Super Bowl winner Joe Flacco threw one touchdown and two interceptions in a game that was never really much in doubt. Flacco has had one of the lowest quarterback ratings in the league over those past two losses. The Ravens had three costly turnovers as well. Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers played much better.

Roethlisberger only threw one interception, and his supporting cast helped carry him. Famed running back Leveon Bell, who had struggled earlier in the season, ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns. The Steelers defense helped hold the Ravens on multiple occasions, including on a drive in the third quarter where the Ravens had to sacrifice good field position for a field goal. This rivalry game will help determine the makeup of the AFC North. The Steelers are 3-1 and will likely cruise over division rivals Cincinnati and Cleveland, while the Ravens will need some help to capture the division and possibly make the playoffs.

NFL Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 24, 1:00 PM, Soldier Field

This game saw the Pittsburgh Steelers get humiliated and humbled by the Chicago Bears. The Chicago Bears seemed to have a well-calculated plan on how to deal with the opponent. NFL Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, September 17, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

During the second week of hitting the road, Vikings had a faceoff with the Pittsburgh Steelers on 17 the September. The Pittsburgh swarming defense and the high-offense proved to be a hindrance to Minnesota, but they proved they showed their rookie could play a solid game. Previously the Vikings entered their NFL season week two by having a big win against the New Orleans where its defense and offense team looked quite able and healthy to handle their opponent. The Vikings ended the game with a loss, and it dropped the contest to Steelers 9-26.

The game was not quite as competitive as the Vikings fans expected. The good thing is that injuries were kept at minimal and Bradford’s absence was wholly felt by the fans and the players as well. The defense did a good job while the offense looked really out of the sync. During the game, the Vikings took around 11 penalties for its 131 years and had some series of Miscues. The Vikings believe their strong teamwork and dedication will give them a winning come the week three that is full of tough assignments.

NFL Week 1: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 10, 1:00 PM, FirstEnergy Stadium

Antonio Brown wore a black & purple suit engraved with a fire-breathing dragon and a bow tie for Pittsburgh’s first road match. Antonio finished his expensive clothing with ruby red-sequined sneakers before traveling. The classic appearance remained jaw-dropping and dazzling. With less than three minutes left the widely known professional made an important catch. Ben Roethlisberger made two touchdown passes through Jesse James tighter corner. The Steelers had little assistance from Le’Veon Bell opened the season by defeating the Cleveland Browns to 21-18.

In a great career, Ben has improved to 21-2 against the Cleveland Browns. This made DeShone Kizer the rookie quarterback offered the opponents all they can handle. This remained a great sign for Cleveland fans and coach Hue Jackson after a tough 1-15 season. Brown held up to Ben’s throw with the Steelers leading with three points in traffic for a thirty-eight-hard win with 2:26 minutes left to seal the Steelers victory.

NFL Preseason Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers on Thursday, August 31, 7:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Steelers have discovered every problem they encounter with one game prior to the regular season. While moving into their final preseason game, there are still nagging questions to answer. Most of the newbie players are anticipated to appear in the game. However, fans should not expect much from the big players. Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers are separated with just one regular season game. Players like Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger will not appear on the field of play.

Nevertheless, it is appearing that the Pittsburg Steelers may not be in the perfect shape to move into Week 1 against the Browns. Irrespective of how people think, the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to put an end a failure and embrace win on a Super Bowl roster. In the case of the Carolina, there are plenty to consider. People may not be expecting Le’Veon Bell’s return or Big Ben touchdowns. While heading into the regular preseason, which of the above players that appearing means a lot. The Steelers will have most of their newbie players on the field of play.

NFL Preseason Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, August 26, 7:30 PM, Heinz Field

Without any iota of doubt, it is unequivocal that the Colts are in the best form. The Indianapolis Colts have done everything required to win after overcoming huge injuries and deficits. The Colts are also doing everything to ensure that their playoff hopes remain outstanding for the season. Records have also shown that the Colts have had three straight wins without any defeat. Nevertheless, the Colts have not been able to encounter a tougher team of a top-tier quarterback at their best. Matt Ryan hasn’t remained the same player for this season, Pey Manning has been showing signs of injury and age, while James Winston is still in a great shape.

The truth is that not negative can be mentioned on behalf of Ben Roethlisberger. Ben has had a great year after missing a huge portion of the season with a severe injury on his own. In the last three outings, Ben has thrown around 389.7 yards for each game. Ben is ready and prepared for an incredible game against the Indianapolis Colts. Matt Hasselbeck the veteran beginner for the Colts has shown that age is not a factor on his side. This is because Matt has been able to pull off a 315-yard game to show his salience. This year, the Steelers have not had the opportunity to stop anyone through the air.

NFL Preseason Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, August 20, 4:00 PM, Heinz Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 17-13 in Atlanta in the second preseason game for both teams. Atlanta took the lead with a first quarter touchdown run by Terron Ward, as starting quarterback Matt Ryan looked sharp in limited action. Ben Roethlisberger wasn’t suited up for the Steelers, so rookie Joshua Dobbs started in his place, and was mildly ineffective, throwing for 1 interception with no touchdowns. However, the big story for Pittsburgh was rookie running back James Conner, who rushed for 98 yards on 20 carries over the course of the game. In the second quarter, the Falcons extended their lead with a pair of Matt Bryant field goals, with Pittsburgh getting on the board with a Chris Boswell 42 yard field goal. At the half, Atlanta led 13-3.

Those 13 points were all Atlanta would get for the day, as backup quarterback Matt Sims wasn’t able to engineer any scoring drives. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh benefited from a 3rd quarter punt return touchdown by Trey Williams. In the 4th quarter, Pittsburgh broke through to take their first lead of the game, as rookie quarterback Bart Houston connected with wide receiver Justin Hunter on a 6 yard touchdown path to make the score 16-13 Pittsburgh. After a successful extra point, neither team scored again, and Pittsburgh hung on for the 17-13 victory.

NFL Preseason Week 1: Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants on Friday, August 11, 7:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

The initial game of the 2017 preseason had bad and good moments. The Pittsburgh Steelers will obviously show the players the things they don’t know so well and those they do know well. The initial half got the offense to struggle going three and out two times. Dobbs also had a hard time most of the initial half throwing two interceptions.

The offense was too Vanilla for the player who went 5-10 for 83 yards with a touchdown but threw two bad interceptions. In the first interception, his throwing arm was hit in the process. Also, there was some sort of miscommunication. In the second interception, Dobbs was unaware of the defense dropping into coverage. He threw the ball into the target he wanted and the defense stepped right in front to pick it. Dobbs will require improving on studying the defense and to stop staring down receivers. But he delivered a great strike to Hamilton after he beat Valentino, a former Steeler.

The run game did not have much going for it except some big runs from Toussaint and Davis. The duo did not do much to stand out. The defense stood out getting a great push up front from the starting line. Overall, the game was average showing for majority of the teams since they won 20-12 in New York.

Pittsburgh Steelers NFL season 2016 recap

The Pittsburgh Steelers season ended in a loss to the juggernaut New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. Entering into the playoffs as AFC North champions with an 11-5 regular season record and a 7 game winning streak, expectations were high for the Steelers.

Things seem to be breaking right for the team from the Steel City. Star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was back from an injury and healthy. Surrounding the star QB was a line-up that included 6 players headed to the Pro-Bowl, 3 of whom were AP all-pros. Big Ben, with arguably the best wideout, Antonio Brown in the league to throw to and one of the best tailbacks, LeVeon Bell behind him, had the Steeler nation eyeing the Lombardi trophy.

The Steelers playoff run began by hosting the wild-card Miami Dolphins. They easily throttled the visiting team from Florida 30-12. Next up was the AFC West champion Kansas City Chiefs. In what turned out to be a hard-fought battle from start to finish the Steelers behind a record-setting performance by kicker, Chris Boswell, who kicked 5 field goals, beat the Chiefs 18-16 sending them to face perennial powerhouse New England Patriots. The Patriots proved to be too much for the Steelers who lost star tailback, Bell, early in the game to injury. The Steelers finished their season in New England losing to the Pats by a score of 36-17.

NFL Conference Championships: Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots on Sunday, January 22, 6:40 PM, Gillette Stadium

The Patriots triumphed over the Steelers’ defense last weekend at the AFC Championship game by 19-points, ending the game at 36-17. Tom Brady’s leadership puts New England into its ninth superbowl, the team’s seventh time in the final game with Tom Brady in the past sixteen seasons. With a 10-0 lead going into the second quarter, the Steelers still looked like they had a chance to penetrate the Patriot offense. However, the 19-0 lead after halftime brought the Patriots too much momentum, and the Steelers were overwhelmed.

With two early touchdown passes from Brady to Chris Hogan, the former lacrosse star accumulated nearly 180 receiving yards by the end of the game. The second touchdown distracted safety Mike Mitchell and allowed “7-Eleven” to run for a free 34-yard finish to a touchdown. Although the Steelers aggressively tried to push back with an offense led by Ben Roethlisberger, the Patriots had already out-strategized and leveraged the benefits of the early game.

With this victory in hand, the Patriots will meet the Falcons in the Super Bowl. This is the Falcons’ first trip since 1999, in which they lost to the Denver Broncos 34-19 in Super Bowl XXXIII. Vying for their first every Super Bowl victory, the Falcons seem poise to take on the Patriots in what seems to be a David vs. Goliath event.

NFL Divisional Playoffs: Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, January 15, 1:05 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

The cold, rainy, dark and foggy climate did not favor the Kansas City Chiefs as they lost 18-16 to Steelers. For the playoff Game against the Pittsburgh on Sunday as for the Chiefs team which was led by the two-time Super Bowl-Winning quarterbacks and of course the Coach who is also a Super-Bowl winner, it was not a game of favor to them it went against their expectation.

At first, the Chiefs seem to have the full grasp of the ball, the have actually protected the game and they actually wore 2-1, later they suffocated their win to the Pittsburgh.

The Chiefs have themselves to blame for the playoff games in most of the time is actually won. The Steelers loss continue them, to divisional rounds sufferings

For the statistics here showed it, the chiefs had 171 rushing yard rack ups. The chiefs finally had 61 rushing in the 14 carries and they threw the game to about 34 times.

The Pittsburgh had a balanced day, ben Roethlisberger kept the chief’s defenders very honest, as out of the 31 he finished 20 for the 224 yards

The famous Steelers have just ended the season for Miami. The Dolphin were hammered so hard that they just ended up in the middle of a hurricane. Miami is still thinking about the defeat today. Mr. Moore received a hit from Mr. Dupree that left the former prone on his strong back for a long time. This is just one of the plays of this drubbing.

Mr. Moore said that he will go see a physician right away. He was just afraid that he had no teeth, which is a shame for any football player out there. Mr. Moore just missed 1 play, as he insisted that he was not concussed at all. The player was evaluated by the physician of the team and an unaffiliated neurological consultant. But Moore also knows what it is just like to suffer any sort of concussion these days, as he had to suffer from one just 5 months ago. Mr. Moore did not want to tap out of the game when he was talking about this.

NFL Week 17: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday, January 01, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

The Browns played against the Steelers on the Steelers home turf. however. The very first few minutes of the game were characterized by exchanges in dominance before the Browns lost their footing. In fact, later on, The Browns performance could be best described as inconsistent. Like in their previous games, they showed moments of competence and even brilliance, followed by bad luck and dubious play calling decisions. The first quarter, Seth DeValve started the score for the Browns with a 12 yard pass. In second quarter, Gary Banbridge brought the score for the Browns to 14, but DeAngelo Williams got the Steelers on the scoreboard, bringing the score to 14-7. This win over the Browns has given the Pittsburgh Steelers their seventh victory in a row. The other notable player for the game was the Cleveland Brown’s wide receiver Terrelle Pryor. He accomplished some impressive feats over the season and looks set to only improve.

Mosley the linebacker played perfectly well and cut across middle of the field to deliver a great hit onto Brown just before the end of the game.

Le veon the Steelers running back had monster day and also played a big part in 4th quarter mounting. Bell finished the game with 2 touchdowns and a total of 137 yards offense. The Ravens did not manage to bottle him as they did the last season. Bell is one of NFL best backs and he runs patiently to the defense as he did in this game. He waited for player Terrel outside linebacker to cut inside and try to tackle before he broke around the edge and this was a great gain.

NFL Week 15: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, December 18, 8:30 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers came back to beat the Cincinnati Bengals after trailing 20-6 in the second quarter at Cincinnati, clinching their fifth straight victory. Rallying from a 14-point deficit, the Steelers eliminate last season’s defending champions right on their home turf. They’re now 9-5 in the AFC North Division, with the ability to seal the title by winning at home next Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bengals began by taking a 20-6 lead, scoring on each of their first four possessions. And it soon became obvious that the Steelers were in dire need of some life support. But came it did, some in the form of Boswell, who was responsible for the Steelers first 15 points, and some by a Bengal defense that threw the game in the second half.

Some say the Steelers-Bengals rivalry is the most intense in the NFL, and it certainly looked the case at the Paul Brown Stadium, with tackles flying everywhere. Cincinnati committed four consecutive penalties towards the end, in a spectacular meltdown which most likely cost them the game. The incident also caused Steelers tackle Marcus Gilbert to call them out for what he termed “knucklehead penalties”, specifically targeting linebacker Burfict for attempting to injure players via cheap tackles.

NFL Week 14: Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 11, 1:00 PM, New Era Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated a win over their long time rivals Buffalo Bills in one highly competed match. The Steelers recorded an impressive 236 yards, three touchdowns performance which lead the team to a 27-20 victory against the Buffalo Bills. Ben Roethlisberger was on his A game throwing an incredible 220 yards in addition to three interceptions. One the outstanding performance was Antonio Brown who caught five passes for 78 yards leading the Steers to improve t 8-5 pushing them to the playoffs. Bell caught 4 passes in 62 yards leading him to the carrier high 298 yards from scrimmage. This was the second-most in the team history. On the other hand the Bills compiled 275.

To make matters even more intriguing, this was the second time Bell has managed to score three times in a game and the first time Bell had three touchdowns. In total, Bell has rushed for 620 yards in the Steelers’ four game winning streaks and he has surpassed 1,000 on this season for a second time in his career. The Pittsburg went on to outgain the Buffalo 239-81 to build a 14-7 halftime lead which had an impact on the outcome of the game. Steers have been on a high momentum in their past four games and have even outscored their opponents 63-14 in first half and it was not a wonder they won this one.

NFL Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Giants on Sunday, December 04, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

New York giants winning streak was put to an end on Sunday when they lost to Pittsburgh Steelers. The Giants were thrashed 24-14 in a scintillating game. The game was played at Heinz Field. In fact, the game had presented the New York Giants an opportunity to prove themselves as real contenders.

It was expected that the Giants would win this match but that was not the case. Steelers were pitted as the underdogs going into the match, however, they proved most people wrong. Shockingly, the Steelers were capable of controlling the game in front of 65,825 fans. All through the game, Giants had a hard time moving the ball.

The Steelers made attained an 11-0 lead when Antonio Brown was set for a 22-yard touchdown by Ben Roethlisberger following a Timmons’ return. (58-yard)

During the game quarterback, Eli Manning was able to complete 24 passes out of 39 he tried. Furthermore, he completed 2 interceptions and 2 touchdowns. In fact, the quarterback threw an important interception in the second quarter.

The Giants defense suffered a lot during the game after Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a groin injury. Jason went out in the second quarter and this contributed significantly to the Giants loss. Giants now find themselves behind the Cowboys by three games with four games to go.

It was a great achievement for the Steelers while it was a pandemic for the Giants. The Steelers totally out competed the New York Giants Pittsburgh. They must do more if they have to clinch the title within the remaining 4 games of the season.

NFL Week 12: Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, November 24, 8:30 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts on NFL’s Thanksgiving Day saw the hosts concede 28-7 to the visitors. The game was a detriment of the future of both teams, especially for the Steelers who had conceded important games in the recent past. On the start of the game, the hosts had taken most of the possession with the mid play being remarkable. However, the Steelers seemed to take charge as the game progressed. In terms of game possession, the both teams had their share of possession, but the attacking power of Colts had requires some polishing, since it showed loopholes. The win for the Steelers creates another start of a tough journey, if they are to proceed in the league.

Donte Moncrief and Scoot Tolzein had great efforts in ensuring the Colts kept pace of the game, especially in the second quarter. For the victors, Antonio brown made three major passes at the 22, 25 and 33 yards that transformed Ben Roethl’s passes into goals. Brown had much of his effort put into test in the fourth quarter while Bell had a remarkable five yard run in the first quarter. In terms of team working, Steelers created fruitful passes all throughout the game having over 70 percent accuracy, compared to 60 percent of the opponents. When compared to previous games, Colts seemed relaxed and assumed most of the mistakes that cost them the match.

NFL Week 11: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns on Sunday, November 20, 1:00 PM, FirstEnergy Stadium

The Pittsburg Steelers recently defeated Cleveland Browns in their recent game held last Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 at ET, First Energy Stadium, Cleveland. This has been a great game for the Steelers because Cleveland has the worst defense in the NFL though they remain dangerous in offense. Pittsburg took advantage of Cleveland’s weakness. This is now Pittsburg’s chance to get back to a healthy game. Pittsburg had a hard time playing their defense against Cleveland. Although the Browns have run well against the Steelers in their past match, there is something to look forward to in the line of defense of the Steelers.

In this game, quarterback Cody Kessler suffered a concussion and wasn’t able to finish the game. Final score is 24-9 in favor of the Pittsburg Steelers. The winless Cleveland Browns failed to get a taste of their supposedly first win in this season, with a team standing of 0 win and 11 losses. Cleveland Browns owner, Jimmy Haslam has already fired 3 coaches since buying the team in 2012. The Pittsburg Steelers on the other hand have had 3 coaches since 1969. Pittsburg Cleveland also suffered 4 losses in a row this season. Next week, Cleveland will be hosting New York Giant’s game.

NFL Week 10: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, November 13, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

A different scenario happened in Pittsburgh where Dallas Cowboys were better than Pittsburgh Steelers (35-30). According to many reviews, it was the best NFL game in the whole season. We agree with it. A long rivalry between the two teams is obvious every time. It gives a special attraction to every match between them. The game did not start well for the Cowboys. Ben Roethlisberger had a main role at the start and he helped in a 12-3 lead of the Steelers. Later on, the Steelers showed the necessary strength and scored two field goals.

The situation is getting a new turnover. These are the most recognizable teams in NFL and their game proves it. Cowboys’ first lead happened when Bryant made a long 50-yard pass and it was good enough for the important lead. The Steelers did not give up, but their lost the chance when Prescott made a 75-yard drive. Shortly after that, the Cowboys lead 29-24. At the end, a very fast touchdown was quite enough for the final 35-30 advantage of Dallas Cowboys. This team is now sitting at 8-1 in the season where the rivalry with the Steelers is always interesting. This season, it seems nothing can stop the guys from Dallas.

NFL Week 9: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, November 06, 1:00 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

When both Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens players entered the M&T Bank Stadium at 1.00 PM on Sunday, Nov 6, no one was certain that the hosts would emerge winners. The Steelers lost 14-21, making them drop three in a row while the ravens ended a four-game losing campaign and topped the AFC North.

One the side of hosts, Timmy Jernigan proved that he is a difference maker while Terrell Suggs show that he still pretty good playing with one arm. Also, Marshal Yanda proved that he can push forward strongly even with no helmet while Tavon Young showed that he can handle Antonio Brown, who is one of the toughest wide receiver & punt returner.

The Steelers veteran- Roethlisberger- was back after being out for at least three weeks with a knee injury. He looked synched and directed a number of yards, including the 65 & 74-yard drives that earned his side the final points.

The score was 10-0 at halftime in favor of Baltimore, and the game lacked scores until the fourth quarter when the hosts made crucial runs that earned them additional points. Chris Moore took a punt from Javorius Allen and directed it 14 yards taking the score to 21-0 with 13:35 to go.

Roethlisberger completed 23 of 45 passes for 264 yards while Flacco closed at 18 for 30 for 241 yards, helping his side win the game. There was a stream of penalties on both teams, something which slowed down their offenses.

NFL Week 7: Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots on Sunday, October 23, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

The October 23, 2016 game between the Patriots and the Steelers ended in a more traditional way with the Patriots winning with a score of 27 to 16. Now as a Patriot, LeGarrette Blount had a great day playing against his former team the Steelers. What makes this an even sweeter victory for Blount is his reason for happily leaving the Steelers which was due to his lack of use and playtime. The Steelers are probably regretting letting Blount get away considering he was able to rush for two touchdowns and 127 yards throughout the game. The Patriots with their 6-1 record can, as usual, credit some of their success to Tom Brady.

Since returning from his suspension Brady has been able to show that he still has it with eight touchdown passes and no interceptions in the past three games. Of course, Brady could not do it alone and is greatly aided by other playmates such as Rob Gronkowsk,i Jabaal Sheard, and Julian Edelman. It was not all bad for the Steelers who certainly held their own during parts of the game especially given the fact that Roethlisberger was not on the lineup. One thing is for sure both teams will continue to fight hard until the end of the season.

NFL Week 6: Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins on Sunday, October 16, 1:00 PM, Hard Rock Stadium

After the fourth quarter play with the Dolphins last Sunday, the Pittsburg Steelers have gone ahead to file an official complaint with NFL against foul play to one of its players. The Steelers accuse Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh for unleashing a kick against quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the leg during the match. As the match ended 30-15 in favor of the Dolphins, Roethlisberger had to leave the game in the second quarter after suffering from left knee injury though he came back to play during the second half.

The Steelers wants a clear review of that game in order to ensure the right action has been undertaken. They have even sent the league video showing how Suh kicked Roethlisberger. Actually, Suh appeared to be blocked by Steelers’ right guard David DeCastro before raising his leg to kick Roethlisberger in the leg. This is not the first incident where Suh has been involved in a dirty play while on field. Apparently, during his career, he has been fined and disciplined a number of times, including being in suspension twice.

Meanwhile, last Sunday’s game saw the underdog charged Miami .Dolphins beating the favored Pittsburg. According to Las Vegas sportsbooks, the win is described as the “largest win of any NFL game this year”. That was indeed a great win as many straight bets were on Pittsburg only to favor the Steelers.

NFL Week 5: Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Jets on Sunday, October 09, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

This game started on a rather high note with the Steelers taking the lead shortly after, thanks to a wonderful set piece by Sammie Coates. However, Brandon Marshall dropped a pass on third-and-9 near the Steelers 42-yard line but the Jets gunner did not quite manage to pull something with this, thereby ensuring the Steelers still commanded the show.

After about 80-plus seconds, Steelers were again in the lead, thanks to a touchdown by Brandon Marshall. Matters took even a more interesting turn when Ben Roethlisberger completed a 2-of-10 for 67 yards on the 75-yard drive. By scoring in the last minutes of the first half, it appears as though the match was an already decided one.

When the second half began, Steelers were again on the attack as a result of a wonderful three-and-out capped by a sack of Ryan Fitzpatrick by Arthur Moats and Lawrence Timmons on third down. Moments later, Antonio Brown made a marvelous return of the ball 33 yards to the Jets 31-yard line and the team appeared to be going stronger by the minute. In the end, the Steelers kept with their unrelenting pressure, with a few moments of the Jets bouncing back and the game finally came to a close with the scoreline standing at 24-13 in favor of the Steelers.

NFL Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 02, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers completely stomped the Chiefs with an overwhelming victory of 43-14 thanks to Ben Roethlisberger’s excellent passing skills which scored the team five touchdowns in the first 3 quarters of the game.

In the 1st quarter alone, the Steelers scored 3 touchdowns coming from Roethlisberger’s magnificent passing. On the 2nd and 3rd quarters, the Steelers continued to dominate over the Chiefs with their powerful offense coming from their passers and their excellent defense that thwarted any of the Chief’s attempts to score.

It was only during the last quarter of the game when the Chiefs managed to pull through and get a score thanks to Alex Smith’s passing, leading to two touchdowns from Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, their efforts were not enough to come back from the massive 29-point lead that the Steelers had even with Kelce’s endgame touchdown during the last 4 seconds of the game.

Roethlisberger’s passing and field vision was certainly a huge factor in the Steelers’ win over the Chiefs. The triple touchdowns scored from his passes during the 1st quarter of the game were enough to fuel the team’s morale, catapulting them to the win. Add to that the relatively poor defense that the Chiefs put up, the Steelers victory wasn’t much of a surprise.

NFL Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 25, 4:25 PM, Lincoln Financial Field

Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles squared off in highly competedmatch. Unfortunately four of Steer’s best offense players did not make it to the match. The Eagles have been successful in the past due to their ability to get consistent pressure during the quarterback. Philadelphia came out victorious over Steers. The Eagles’ offense was not on top of its game scooping 67 offensive plays in 298 yards and a single touchdown.

Some of Eagles’ key players including Josh Huff and Nelson Agholor had drop offs. On the other hand, Zach Ertz recorded a bad penalty which was a gain to the Steelers. One aspect that has always made the Steelers victorious is their strong defense over the years. However, the Steelers defense was not impressive during the preseason match.

The focus was on whether Steelers defense can beat the Eagles’ offense. For Eagles beating the Steelers would cement their position as playoff contender. The Eagles offense is better prepared and the Steers defense maintains its momentum the teams are likely to give fans the match of a life time. Ultimately, Philadelphia Eagles were better prepared and came out victorious against the Pittsburgh Steelers. We can only wait to see more from these teams in the upcoming matches.

NFL Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, September 18, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

Andy Dalton completed 31 passes on 54 attempts netting 366 yards in the Cincinnati Bengals’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 2. His only touchdown came too late in the fourth quarter. It was Big Ben Roethlisberger who managed to find receivers in the end zone on three occasions, once each to Deangelo Williams, Jesse James, and Xavier Grimble. Most glaringly, the Bengals lost two fumbles and got almost nowhere on special teams, managing just 21 yards on all returns combined. Credit to Mike Nugent who connected on all three of his attempts, the longest was 33 yards.

While the Bengals struggled to complete a first on third down (just 25% were successful), the Steelers completed 41 percent of theirs and never once committed a turnover. The Steelers dominated the red zone, reaching the end zone every time they made a visit. In something Cincinnati needs to look at for next week, their red zone offense laid an ugly goose egg and failed on three attempts.

The dagger in the game came just after the two-minute warning when Bengals’ rookie, Tyler Boyd, fumbled the ball to Robert Golden. The Bengals had one last chance with just seconds remaining but a poorly executed attempt at a hook-and-ladder left them defeated and dejected.

NFL Week 1: Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington Redskins on Monday, September 12, 7:10 PM, FedEx Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers made their first NFL debut versus the Washington Redskins 12th September 2016, at FedEx Field in Maryland. The Redskins picked Kirk Cousins at quarterback alongside with Jordan Reed and DeSean Jackson in the passing attack. Pittsburgh’s enjoyed their Monday night NFL campaign with a 38-16 win over the Washington Redskins after Bell’s three match drug suspension and De Angelo Williams continuing with his outstanding form. Williams ran for 143 yards and made two touchdowns during Pittsburgh aggressive attack that also showcased three passing tries from Ben Roethlisberger, who struggled for the Steelers after a quavering start.

Antonio Brown’s performance was imposing with eight catches and two touchdowns for 126 Yards, but then again Coach Mike Tomlin was certain to pick Williams’ play. Williams threatened Washington’s defense and made it easier for Roethlisberger, Brown as well as the Steelers’ entire game. Williams’ performance seemed to be his 2015 perfect continuation, in which he topped theNFL with eleven pushing touchdowns and 1,274 yards from tussle.

The Redskins earned one touchdown as well as three field goals and were found inside the red zone five times. NFL match review 2016.

NFL Preseason Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers on Thursday, September 01, 7:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a rough day at Carolina Panthers where they suffered a 6-18. Both of the teams opted to rest their starters during this preseason finale. Carolina’s kicker Graham Gano made an impressive 6-for-6 goal attempts and he contributed to all the points in the Carolina’s big win. Running back Cameron Arti-Payne was the man behind Carolina’s rushing efforts with the impressive 77 yards on 18 carries. Joe Webb who played the whole game managed to complete 17 of 29 passes for 200 yards. The Panthers had a solid defense which limited the Steelers to only 47 total yards.

Steelers quarterback Landry Jones had a hard time during the game as he managed only one first-down. He completed 4 out of 5 passes for 29 yards. The best moment for the Steelers was a 66-yard drive which Daryl Richardson ended by running up the middle for a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Richardson’s impressive ground game made him rush nine times for the 45 yards.

NFL Preseason Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers at New Orleans Saints on Friday, August 26, 8:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The New Orleans Saints were hosts to Pittsburgh Steelers in a Preseason clash. The two teams seemed to insinuate on their performance in the NFL season. The hosts played a slow but not very confident game that gave Steelers a chance to defeat them with 27-14. The defense of the Big Easy seems not well coordinated, which allowed easy attacking from opponents

The efforts of Ben Roethlisberger and Brown Antonio gave the audience some emotional performances. They had fast tactics and their hands were always stable on the ball. The Steelers coach did some great training on Jones Landry who had 19/22 for 200 yards of play. Jones and Coates Sammie had some part of game play where they shook the defense of the hosts.

However, both teams lost many chances especially for cornerbacks. Although it was a preseason match and we are to expect no skill, the utilization of cornerbacks is not yet appealing. The determination to score and defend was high especially when nearing the end of the match. Both teams suffered major injuries that would have some impact in the next game.

Shamarko Thomas had a groin injury as the game caught momentum, which seemed fatal. Heyward Cameron also had a rough game that saw him injur his ankle. Given his big role in the match, the coach will have a hard time replacing him.

NFL Preseason Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, August 18, 7:00 PM, Heinz Field

The preseason match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers was filled with drama and emotional performances. Eagles’ determination to clinch the title, come the league had remarkable game performances. The defense team led by Jim Schwartz ensured that no Steelers’ striker had the privilege to score. Schwartz had many applauds from the fans due to his outstanding tactics against the opponents.

The Philadelphia boys had four well-calculated turnovers with the Steelers having none. Nolan Carroll made remarkable efforts especially when the game reached climax with touchdown interceptions that gave the Steelers a hard time. Though the Steelers had discipline all through the match, they could not match out the Eagles and had a rough time defending the strikers.

Sam Bradford gave Steelers the first offence at 115 yards. Kenjon Barner played with passion and effort that saw him score the lone offensive touchdown. He was full of energy and had a remarkable average of 6.8 yards per carry and a personal best of 41 rushing yards. Both teams played well, given it was a preseason match, but the Eagles defeated the Steelers, 17-0. However, they have to polish up their tactics if they are to compete in the NFL.

NFL Preseason Week 1: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Detroit Lions on Friday, August 12, 7:00 PM, Heinz Field

Detroit Lions opened their preseason with a 30-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but their reshuffled offensive line changed things from last year as there was a slight improvement. Mathew Stafford made and completed 4 of the six passes for 58 yards. He took two big hits and lost a fumble when Rockie left tackle. Taylor Decker granted a sack.

Last season Stafford struggled with turnovers but he was able to complete three long third downs and also made passes to Anquan Boldin, Cole Wick, and Marvin Jones before the turnover, and he almost made his fourth with his legs. On a third-and-2 which came from the Steelers’ 17-yard line, Stafford tried to scramble for a gain of 17 Yards.

Detroit seems to have some issues with the offensive line’s blocking and also receiving corps, drops. The defense, however, stepped up while the Steelers had 14 on board points. Not all of this was allowed by the defense. The coaching staff and the fans now have a piece of what is expected when the real season kicks off on September 11th.

Pittsburgh Steelers NFL season 2015 recap

The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to have a very good season, making the playoffs despite the fact that they had to deal with numerous injuries. Antonio Brown was able to solidify his position as a top wide receiver. DeAngelo Williams was able to fill in during the season for a Steelers backfield that has been dealing with a large amount of injuries.

Williams played a big role in the team being able to play a lot of solid game management. You need to have a certain amount of game management and getting things done when you are dealing with a first year defensive coordinator in Keith Butler. Butler was able to take over after Dick LeBeau left the organization and the defense largely did not skip a beat.

Mike Tomlin was able to keep his careful eye on the defense, make no mistake about it. You have to realize that Tomlin was not going to let the defense falter in a rough and tumbe AFC Central. The secondary is still somewhat inexperienced for the Steelers and this may be where many of the mistakes were made for the team.

NFL Divisional Playoffs: Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos on Sunday, January 17, 4:40 PM, Sports Authority Field at Mile High

The Steelers’ resistance almost safeguarded Pittsburgh out, compelling the Broncos into a third-and-12 situation. On the other hand, Manning then hit the greatest go of the game, interfacing with wide collector Bennie Fowlerfrom 31-yard consummation to the Pittsburgh 36. Fowler had two basic drops before in the game before securing the catch that prepared for a wounding completion to Denver’s unequivocal drive.

Manning on, who drove his 55th calling redirection winning drive in the last quarter or additional time and second in his playoff vocation, then went to wide gatherer Demaryius Thomas for the two-point change and a seven-point Denver good position.

Manning finished completed 21 of 37 goes for 222 yards.

The Steelers managed a 49-yard field objective by kicker Chris Boswell with 19 seconds left, however Anderson recuperated the Steelers’ onside kick, and Manning took a knee to run out the latest couple of minutes.

The Steelers came into the preoccupation without two of their top threatening playmakers, wide gatherer Antonio Brown, who upheld a power outage in the extraordinary case win over the Cincinnati Bengals a week prior, and running back De Angelo Williams, who has been sidelined with a foot harm.

Roethlisberger, playing through shoulder hurt, completed 24 of 37 passes and with 339 yards, topping 300 yards for the second time this season against the Broncos. No other quarterback came to 300 against Denver this season.

Pittsburgh surged in front at the start with the help of a noteworthy play by wide gatherer Martavis Bryant, who shook free for a 40-yard get on an opposite play to the Denver 16. Toussaint brought after with a few runs, including a 1-yarder for the touchdown to put the Steelers up 7-6.

NFL Wild Card Weekend: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, January 09, 8:15 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

Saturday’s AFC trump card diversion between the Steelers and Bengals was a moment great. What the initial 75% needed in fresh football, the final quarter compensated for in dramatization.

The diversion featured various turnovers, backbreaking punishments, unrealistic damage returns and an amusement winning kick—and that was just the most recent two minutes. Here are the main 10 minutes from the whole diversion:

Steelers cornerback William Gay thought he scored a touchdown off a bumble at a very early stage in Saturday’s amusement, so he celebrated in like manner at last zone. Unfortunately for Gay, the arbitrators observed his showmanship be somewhat over the top and tossed a banner for unsportsmanlike behavior. Making an already difficult situation even worse, Gay’s touchdown was gotten back to because of a punishment. The focuses were removed the board, however, Gay’s own foul was still authorized.

Boswell’s kick was marginally hostile to climactic after the former activity. In any case, his 35-yard field objective was no gimme. Boswell’s weight make was dominated by the insanity seconds prior, however, his score really accompanied the Steelers behind one point, and was ultimately the contrast between one more amusement or a long off-season.

This was the highlight of the amusement until the most recent couple of minutes. Bryant’s catch apparently challenged the laws of material science, with the collector holding the ball against his posterior with his arms tangled up with his legs. For quite a while, the score appeared as though it is sufficient to end the Bengals’ season.

NFL Week 17: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns on Sunday, January 03, 1:00 PM, FirstEnergy Stadium

In the Steelers vs Browns game, Steelers won 28-12 against the Browns and qualified for the AFC playoffs. The team is clearly chasing a Super Bowl lead title once again. Touchdown passes were thrown by Roethlisberger to steer the Steelers into the winning position. The Steelers have generally had a rough season. They overcame numerous injuries, suspensions, as well as an unexpected loss in Baltimore the previous week. Roethlisberger is definitely the man of the match with his 349 yards throw and not forgetting the 187 throw to Antonio Brown, a sensational receiver, who managed a TD and 13 catches.

According to the coach, Mike Tomlin, it had been a 16-week tough fight for the entire team and he is happy with the results so far. It was necessary for the Steelers with 10-6, to win, in addition to needing Buffalo’s win over New York’s jets so as to qualify for the postseason playoffs. It was the end of a losing season for Browns (3-13) who were left in doubt and disarray. There is a high likelihood that the Brown’s coach, Jimmy Haslam will be fired following the team’s poor performance. This is after vowing in August not not mess up things for the Browns football team.

NFL Week 16: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, December 27, 8:30 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens faced off Sunday at 1:00 PM, with the Ravens coming out on top 20-17 at home.

Ryan Mallet shocked the Steelers as he lead the Ravens to victory with a career-high 274 passing yards and a touchdown on just his seventh career start. Justin Tucker knocked in two field goals in the second quarter, and Javorius Allen also tacked on a rushing TD in the fourth quarter to give the home team insurance against the impending comeback by the Steelers.

While the Ravens offense certainly came to play, their defense was not to be overshadowed, picking off Ben Roethlisberger twice. However, DeAngelo Williams was able to find some daylight, eclipsing the century mark for just the fourth time this year, but reaching pay dirt twice.

This was only the fifth win for a Ravens team that was giving the start to it’s fourth quarterback in a six week span. It was also their first win a month. Meanwhile, the Steelers lost for the first time in eleven games. This was the first series sweep for the Ravens in their bitter AFC North rivalry with the Steelers since 2011, when Baltimore went 12-4 losing in the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots.

NFL Week 15: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Denver Broncos on Sunday, December 20, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers rallied from behind to cause an upset and beat the Denver Broncos last December 20, 2015. After a dismal performance in the early part of the game the Steelers found themselves down by a large margin during halftime. However the wind blew towards a different direction in the 2nd half. The Steelers, whose defense were easily by-passed early in the game, took control of the 2nd half and they finally took the lead with 3:24 minutes left in the game when a Roethlisberger gave a 23 yard dart to Ryan. The precursor to this series of events was when Ryan Shazier intercepted Brock Osweiler. The Pittsburgh Steelers stopped the Broncos twice during the final minutes of the game. Denver was disappointed after giving up an early lead and losing the entire game.

Major Contributions were from Ben Roethlisberger as Pittsburgh dominated the Denver Broncos, the NFL’s best defense, after giving the Denver Broncos a 17 point lead. The Pittsburgh Steelers have now won 10 games in a row in December. They will be hosting Baltiomore next while Denver will host Cincinnati next week. With two weeks to go, the win over Denver secured Pittsburgh wild card spot in the AFC’s.

NFL Week 14: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, December 13, 1:00 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

The match between Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals was played on Sunday at the Paul Brawn Stadium. Before the match began, Vontaze Burfict, who is a Bengals Linebacker walked over to the Steelers Vince Williams during warmups and a scrimmage began. Putting the same energy into the match between the two teams, both sides played scrappy ball. Pittsburgh manage to score 33-20 against Bengals which happens to be an interesting division race.

Roethlisberger set the offensive mood early, after going for eight-to-eight on the starting drive that build a lead that the Steelers never turned down. He completed 30 out of 39 passes for about 282 yards with a single interception as he kept the offense moving. The offenses happened as DeAngelo Williams rumbled for two touchdowns and was effective from the backfield in the passing game. Against the Bengals, DeAngelo combined his third multi-rushing touchdown game of the 2015 season.

The Steelers anticipated this win over the Bengals for them to have a real shot at the post-season play. This win has put the Cincinnati at a challenging position in moving forward. Moreover, Dalton’s injury will make it difficult for the Bengals to move to the next three NFL games. The game gave Steelers an emotional cheerleader and portrayed them as danger in the league despite the early season misfortunes.

NFL Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, December 06, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

Big Ben put up some big numbers in the game against the Colts; these are games, for the Steelers that they need to win if they want to go to the playoffs this season. They are currently behind both the Chiefs and the Jets for the two wildcard spots. Matt Hasselbeck started in place of the injured Andrew Luck; his fifth start of the season and his third in a row (this was his first loss of the season).

Matt Hasselbeck completed sixteen of his 26 passes, throwing for 169 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Ben Roethlisberger completed 24 of his 39 passes, throwing for 364 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the game. Ben has thrown for 300 or more yards in four straight now.

Other Steelers players did very well in the game also, DeAngelo Williams had his 21st (third of this season) 100 yard plus rushing game. As a team, the last two games in two seasons against the Colts have gone very well; they have scored 96 points against this team.

At the end of the first half, the Steelers had scored 21 points in the game, to the Colts’s ten. The ten they scored would be all they would put up in the game. The Steelers would put up 24 more points in the second half.

NFL Week 12: Pittsburgh Steelers at Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, November 29, 4:25 PM, CenturyLink Field

The Steelers at Seahawks was a good game with the Seattle’s playing host to Pittsburgh Steelers. This was a game which seriously bolstered the playoff hopes of the Hawks. One win and the Seattle’s would bump to 6-5, putting them in the wild card race and keeping them alive with their hopes of winning the NFC West title.

However, in this path towards victory for the Hawks, stand the Steelers featuring a very scary passing attack. Ben Roethlisberger, the quarterback for the Steelers came up with an impressive game play in spite of his knee injury. However, it was Russell Wilson who came up with the best performance and the match-winner for this 29th November NFL game.

The five touch-down passes threw by Wilson were career-high and they served as stepping stones towards the 39-30 win for the Steelers over the Seahawks. All credits to Wilson for the finest regular season performances during his career.

The efforts put in by Wilson were rewarded with Seattle getting above the .500 mark for the first time during the NFL season 2015, keeping the Seahawks down for the NFC playoff hunt. This was truly a game that left the spectators with concussions.

NFL Week 10: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday, November 15, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

Antonio Brown, of Steelers, surprised everyone with his new end-zone acrobatics. He even conceded that scoring touchdowns are pretty difficult, and since he managed to score a couple of them, he is now planning to do a cartwheel and a backflip. He also commended the coaches of his team for not deterring him from performing more flips in the future.

Brown executed the difficult jump by leveraging his 39-inch vertical as well as taking advantage of his full speed. This impressive feat did not go unnoticed within the sporting universe after Mary Retton praising Brown for accomplishing such an exploit.

Brown, while recounting his childhood history, has repeatedly pointed out that he had a passion for flipping since he was quite young and that he used to go to the local yard with friends in order to flip as well as improve their jumping skills. With this revelation in hindsight, it is quite clear that Brown does not fear challenges, and he is certainly ambitious and motivated to attempt to create a new world record. With such ambition and zeal, it should not surprise anyone if he executes a successful cartwheel or backflip.

NFL Week 9: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Oakland Raiders on Sunday, November 08, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

This game was described by pundits as a really tough loss for the Raiders considering the fact that The Steelers are among the most probable contenders in the playoff spot this season. The Pittsburg Steelers this season have also been on a winning streak that sure gave them an upper hand against the Steelers. The Raiders can only blame their defense which was just lackluster in terms of their performance on this game. The offense really had a good day and if only the defense hadn’t let them down, the day would have turned out totally different for them.

The fact that Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams were the only players from Steelers who caused the most harm with 525 and 597 yards respectively come from the duo. It is a stat that has left many with their mouths gaping as this is really extreme. The fact that most or rather the entirety of the offense of the Steelers came from just two players on the field is a sad realization for the Raiders who at no single point in the game thought that the ball is going to either of the two and each time they were left unawares. Otherwise, it was a well deserved victory for the Steelers.

NFL Week 8: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, November 01, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

The Cincinnati Bengals won 16-10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their win on Sunday gave them the best ever start to a season in the NFL. They remain unbeaten so far this term. The payoffs may not be in the near future but the Bengals are certainly on a roll. The impressive Andy Dalton was the difference in the match. Dalton was 23 of 38 for 231 yards with 2 interceptions and 3 sacks in the game. He scored the all-important touchdown with less than 3 minutes to go. Shawn Williams’ interception set up the winning touchdown, his diving interception at the Steelers 45-yard line set up Dalton’s pass to Green, who was equally impressive with 11 catches for 118 yards set up Dalton who was waiting for the killer pass to kill off the game. The Steelers attempted a late fight back but Roethlisberger’s pass went out of the end zone. The Steelers improved in the second half especially in defense as the Bengals threatened to run riot. For the Steelers, they did not only lose the game but also they lost running back Le’ Veon Bell to a serous knee injury. Bell is still going scans to establish how serious and how long he will be out. This was Bengals’ first taste of victory in the last three attempts against the Steelers and only their second win away to the Pittsburg Steelers.

NFL Week 7: Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 25, 1:00 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

If you missed the Sunday game between Steelers and Chiefs then you missed a good game. During their previous games, the Steelers have proved that they were the team to beat up until their recent game against the chiefs. This time round luck was on the chiefs when they took advantage of some of the missed tackles by the Steelers to raise their score to a 23-13 win. In an interview Steers linebacker Jarvis said he wished the team could take back those missed tackles.

He admits that this wasn’t a good round for them but the team promises to correct all the mistakes made in that game. On the other hand, the chiefs were happy with the outcome of the game by leading the game with a 9-3 score during half time, even through Cam Heyward claimed that the chiefs played the game with a lot of desparacy. Either way, am sure Chief’s fans really enjoyed a good game that led to their team’s victory.

NFL Week 6: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, October 18, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

While the Cardinals leave for Detroit on Saturday, they might not be home for pretty a while. They will be inside the hills of West Virginia among Sunday’s sport in opposition to the Lions and Coach Bruce Arians’ go back to Pittsburgh Steelers the subsequent week.

It’s an awful lot simpler to live in time area. Relaxation and recuperation is so much better for the next game.” They’ll live at the luxury Greenbrier hotel in White Sulphur Springs and exercise there on the facilities utilized by the Saints for learning camp.

“If you have the capability which could beer what you want to get completed,” Arians said. “That’s the main factor. It is no longer a distraction. As long as we’re feeling there is no distraction to our work week, then it’s honestly healthy for our guys.”

NFL Week 5: Pittsburgh Steelers at San Diego Chargers on Monday, October 12, 8:30 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers recorded their third win of the season after beating the San Diego Chargers 24-20 in a night that saw side Judge Rob Vernatchi suspended for a clock error. The Chargers started the game on a higher note after dismantling the Steelers 7-0 in the first quarter of the game. The Steelers however made their presence felt in the second and third quarter of the game by comfortably winning 3-0 and 7-0 respectively. The game was however decided in the fourth and final quarter when Le’Veon Bell made a last second dash to give the Steelers a much needed victory as well as deny the Chargers a highly needed home win.

Though Mike Vick didn’t have an attractive game in the first 3 quarters, he made quite an impact in the final quarter of the game. He made a 24 yard scramble in the middle of the field as well as creating a 16 yard pass to Miller who converted it to put the game on level. It was Le’Veon Bell final second mad rush that would decide the game and throw the Steelers fans into a mad celebratory mood. The win puts the Steelers second behind the Bengals in the AFC North. The Chargers on the other hand are third in the AFC West standings.

NFL Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, October 01, 8:25 PM, Heinz Field

So finally the Baltimore Ravens are able to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the ugly game of Thursday Night Football. Ravens stood victorious in this Ravens at Steelers battle. Pittsburg Kicker Josh Scoobe simply missed out chances of icing the game in the last quarter. It was the mistake of Scoobe which offered Baltimore life and helped avoiding 0-4 hole. But then Pittsburg defense has been maligned all through the season and it shut down the passing game while sacking Joe Flacco in 5 occasions. It was great to see Justin Tucker making a 52 yard goal while consuming 5.08 overtimes to offer Baltimore Ravens 23-20 victory.

Tucker managed to tie within 3 seconds after Pittsburg had missed the pair of kicks which would otherwise be five in number, the Steelers a bit of caution. Tucker won it in the extra period just after Steeler failed to convert the pair of fourth downs.

Justin Forsett managed to run 150 yards for the Ravens and Flacco threw the touchdown pass. Michael Vick threw in for 120 yards and the score just started in the place of injured Ben Roethlisberger. At 1-3, Ravens attained a new life and Pittsburg at 2-2. So, Justin Forsett won the game and that was terrific.

NFL Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers at St. Louis Rams on Sunday, September 27, 1:00 PM, Edward Jones Dome

The backup quarterback for the Steelers, Michael Vick, came into the game after Ben Roethlisberger left with a knee injury in the third quarter that will put him out four to six weeks. It will be the first time he’s missed any games since 2012. His injury was more important than the result of the game. Roethlisberger won his 108th game, passing Terry Bradshaw for first all-time. He threw for 192 yards on 20 completions and threw an interception.

Vick had five completions on six pass attempts for 38 yards. His two rushes in the game counted for negative two yards and he also fumbled the ball once, but the Steelers recovered it. Quarterback for the Rams, Nick Foles had 19 completions on 28 pass attempts, throwing for 197 yards. He also threw an interception. The Rams had a hard time converting on third and fourth downs, they were only 2 of 10 on third down, and 0 of 2 on fourth down.

And they only put up 258 yards of total offense. This was a game of field goals, there were four in total in the game. Pittsburgh scored the lone touchdown in the game, but failed to convert their first two point conversion of the season.

NFL Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers vs San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, September 20, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 3 touchdowns and 369 yards on 21 completions out of 27 pass attempts as the Pittsburgh Steelers easily defeated the San Fancisco 49ers 43-18. His quarterback rating of 99.4 more than doubled the San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick’s rating of 44.8. The Steelers defense sacked the 49ers’ quarterback 5 times and hit him a total of 8 times. The Steelers offensive line protected its quarterback effectively, allowing no sacks or hits. The disparity in quarterback pressure between the two teams was the key factor in the lopsided outcome of the game.

Pittsburgh dominated the second quarter 21-0 and led at halftime 29-3 as their fans relaxed while their team remained unchallenged in the second half on the way to the easy victory.

The Steelers star receiver, Antonio Brown, consistently beat defenders on his way to 195 yards on 9 catches. His 28-yard catch on the game’s opening drive was instrumental in Pittsburgh’s first touchdown. DeAngelo Williams scored 3 touchdowns on short runs as his signing this past off-season continues to pay dividends.

Defensively, Pittsburgh held 49ers runner Carlos Hyde to 43 yards as compared to his previous game’s 168 yards. The 49ers offense played from behind the whole game and was forced to pass. Kaepernick completed passes for 335 yards on 46 attempts but most of it was after the game’s final outcome had already been decided.

Linebacker Ryan Shazier had 15 tackles in a game he described as his best of his NFL career. Last week, San Francisco easily dispatched the Minnesota Vikings and the Steelers took a disappointing loss to the Patriots. How each team’s season plays out from here is difficult to predict after 2 games of up and down play.

NFL Week 1: Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots on Thursday, September 10, 8:30 PM, Gillette Stadium

New England’s quarterback Tom Brady was back fresh from a victory that overturned his four-game suspension from last years “Deflategate.” With that all in the past, Brady was back to be the usual forceful quarterback he is.
Brady completed four touchdowns during the game and Pittsburgh 28-21. Three of the four touchdowns were made to Brady’s much-used receiver, Rob Gronkowski.

Some described Brady’s energy as that of a playoff energy, maybe widely attributed to the federal judge’s overturn. He led 90 yards of drives. In regards to passes to Gronkowki, he completed 64 yards to scoring. Gronkowski also recovered a fumble fro Pittsburgh’s running back Dion Lewis at the Pittsburgh on yard line. The result turned into a touchdown.

Brady showed great sportsmanship as well as he didn’t just pass to his usual strong teammates. He gave newcomer to New England, tight end Scott Chandler, a chance. He completed a pass to Chandler for a 1-yard score during the beginning second-half. Brady also set records during the game. He had the highest number of victories in the NFL as a starting quarterback, 161. He is also now the third quarterback with three or more touchdown passes for the 23rd time.

Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers came so close but not close enough to hiding New England’s greatness back. Roethlisberger threw 351 yards and had a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, completed to receiver Antonio Brown. Other highlights include Deangelo Williams, in for suspended Le’Veon Bell, rushing 127 yards. Pittsburgh recently acquired kicker Josh Scobee from the Jaguars, but his 44-yard kick during the first drive was no good.

Pittsburgh’s NFL Season 2014

Injuries to star players hurt the Pittsburgh Steelers in their campaign to make a Super Bowl run. Just when it seemed like the Steelers were hitting their stride, winning an extremely competitive AFC Central Division over the playoff bound Cincinatti Bengals in the final game of the regular season, their superstar running back Le’veon Bell took a wicked hit to his knee, leaving him on the injured list for their wildcard playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bell’s shifty running was sorely missed in that game, and without him, they fell short to the Ravens, bouncing them out of the playoffs in the first round. The Steelers can still hold their heads high. They finished with an 11-5 (division 4-2) record and won the AFC Central division with a dramatic 27-17 victory over the Bengals. Critics are already questioning whether the Steelers can repeat that performance next year, but with a steady foundation and a recognizable philosophy, they should be contention again.

NFL Wildcard Weekend: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, January 03, 8:15 PM, Heinz Field

The Baltimore Ravens came up against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that was sure to cause a stir in NFL proceedings.

Star quarterback Joe Flacco rushed past the opposition without a breeze to score two second half touchdowns, bringing the Ravens into a decidedly deserved and historic victory of 30-17. Having secured his 10th career playoff win in 14 games, Flacco enters the hall of NFL fame as the quarterback with the most amount of postseason wins since 2008.

The Steelers kept trying for field goals, while the more ambitious and pumped-up Ravens continued to score triumphant touchdowns. With a score on 6 out of 9 possessions, the Steelers didn’t seem to have a chance.

With such a historic victory for the Ravens, they have now tied for the most road wins in playoff history, putting an end to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ four game winning streak.

With just 11 minutes to go, the Steelers managed to pull back to 20-15, but it wouldn’t be enough to seal victory as Justin Tucker drove home an impressive field goal, which brought the Ravens into the lead by 23-15. The final score was sealed with just a few minutes to go with the Ravens looking as strong as ever.

NFL Week 17: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, December 28, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers cemented their place in the post-season with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Both Andy Dalton and Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdowns each, but it was the 10 points scored by the Steelers in the second quarter that eventually separated the two teams. The Steelers were the first to get on the scoreboard when wide receiver Antonio Brown returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown, before Andy Dalton found Giovani Bernard in the endzone to tie the game moments later. Martavis Bryant’s 21-yard touchdown pass was the only touchdown of the second quarter, while both teams scored seven in the fourth. Ultimately the 10-point lead the Steelers built in the second remained solid until the end of the game.

The Cincinnati Bengals will not be too disheartened by this defeat as they had already claimed a playoff berth after defeating the Denver Broncos last week. The Steelers also claimed their playoff spot last week, but with this victory they will be able to progress as division winners. The Bengals will now have to go up against the Indianapolis Colts in Wild Card round, while the Steelers have to take on the rivaling Baltimore Ravens for a place in the Divisional round.

NFL Week 16: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, December 21, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

The Kansas City Chiefs and The Pittsburgh Steelers needed a victory. The Steelers came out on top and gave themselves a playoff spot.

Ben Roethlisberger played his usual game. He passed for 220 yards and one touchdown. LeBeon Bell scored one touchdown. The star running back carried the ball twenty time for sixty-three yards. The Steelers star receiver Antonio Brown became the all-time leading receiver in Steeler history by catching seven passes for seventy-two yards and one touchdown. The Steeler defense caused one turnover but he sacked the Kansas City quarterback six times.

Kansas City’s quarterback Alex Smith played a solid game. He threw for 311 yards and did not throw an interception. The Kansas City offense struggled because their biggest offensive threat, Jamaal Charles ran for twenty-nine yards. The running back did catch the ball five times for forty-eight yards, but he did not score any touchdowns. Smith spread his passes around to eight different receivers. Dwayne Bowe and De’Anthony Thomas caught six passes. The Kansas City defense did hold the Steeler offense under three hundred yards. The Steelers are playing the Cinncinnati Bengals for the AFC North division title. The Chiefs are finishing out their season against San Diego

NFL Week 15: Pittsburgh Steelers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, December 14, 1:00 PM, Georgia Dome

Pittsburgh Steelers registered their 9th win of the season after beating Atlanta Falcons 27-20 during their NFL game on Sunday. The tough offense of the Steelers with the likes of Roethlisberger and Todd Haley was a no match for the Falcons Defense.

The Steelers are making sure that their team goes into the play-offs unlike the previous 2 years with some excellent display of team work and fighting spirit. The Steelers banked on the contributions from Roethlisberger who gave the best for his team with a mission to get it into the play offs.

The Falcons were struggling at 13-0 at one point of the game, after which Devin Hester, Matt Ryan and Roddy White made contributions to the score fighting through the defense with a 17 yard pass, a field goal and 4 yard pass respectively to take their score to a respectable 20.

The upfront performance of the Steelers was enough to get them over the line as the match ended with them wining 27-20!

NFL Week 14: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, December 07, 1:00 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

Pittsburgh Steelers bounced back from their defeat to New Orleans Saints with an impressive 42-21 win over Cincinnati Bengals. The win which was their eighth of the season saw them solidify position 2 right behind the Cincinnati Bengals. The night was one to remember for one Le’Veon Bell who made history by recording his third consecutive 200 yard in the game. The Steelers employed a fourth quarter onslaught against the Bengals winning an impressive 25-0 a move that saw them become valid contenders for the AFC North title race as well as making the Division a wide open platform for whoever grabs it first.

The Steelers had both Ben Roethlisberger and Bell to thank for their impressive victory. Ben threw three successful touchdown passes with a 94 yard throw which was converted by rookie Bryant. Ben on the other hand scored an impressive three times to compel the Bengals to their fourth loss of the season. The Bengals have now lost their last two games at home with their defending title at risk.

The Steelers hope to continue their impressive form when they travel to face Atlanta Falcons this coming Sunday. The Bengals on the other hand will be looking forward to retain their championship and record a win when they travel to face Cleveland Browns who are currently bottom placed in their division.

NFL Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, November 30, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

Jimmy Graham does not catch a pass for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints still win the game by a 35-32 score. The rookie out of Oklahoma Kenny Stills was able to make a solid contribution in the passing game for the Saints. You want to be able to find a way to defend the pass better if you are the Steelers, but Ike Taylor simply got lit up on a few plays during the game. The Saints were also able to get solid runs from Mark Ingram in the game, these runs came at vital time periods because some of the defensive ends for the Steelers, like James Harrison were starting to get the Saints snap count figured out.

Sean Suisham was still solid in the kicking game for the Steelers, despite the fact that he did miss a kick in the game. The Steelers largely lost the game due to the interceptions that were thrown. Kenny Vaccaro obviously wasn’t afraid to stick his neck out there for the Saints and get an INT. The Steelers have to find some more balance in their running game between Archer and Bell.

NFL Week 11: Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans on Monday, November 17, 8:30 PM, LP Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers managed to eke out a win against the struggling Tennessee Titans, but it wasn’t a pretty performance. The Steelers have something of a reputation for throwing games against inferior teams, and even though they built a 10-0 lead in the first ten minutes of the game they quickly fell apart. Bishop Sankey and Nate Washington scored touchdowns for the Titans, and Ryan Succop scored a field goal to give Tennessee a 17-13 lead after the first half.

Pittsburgh’s troubles continued after the break, and Chase Coffman scored another touchdown to increase the Titan’s lead to 24-13. Things were looking dire for the Steelers as they headed into the fourth quarter, as both their offense and defense had been shaky for the majority of the game, but in the fourth quarter they surprised everyone by staging an impressive rally. Le’Veon Bell decided to kick his game into overdrive, and finished the game with a monstrous 204 rushing yards. Bell himself scored the first touchdown of the fourth quarter for the Steelers, and as the game was winding down Ben Roethlisberger threw an easy 12 yard pass to Antonio Brown for a touchdown that lifted Pittsburgh to a 27-24 win.

Despite an impressive comeback and a beautiful game from Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh will need better decision-making and stronger teamwork if they want to beat better teams than the Titans.

NFL Week 10: Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Jets on Sunday, November 09, 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers came into the game against the New York Jets as one of the hottest teams in the NFL. The Steelers had scored ninety-four points in the two previous games. The Jets had lost eight games in a row, so the expectations for this game were at best that the Steelers would dominate the game. The Jets did not roll over, they held the high powered Pittsburgh offense to thirteen points and one touchdown.

Going into the game Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger only threw for one touchdown. In two previous games Roethlisberger had thrown twelve touchdown passes. The Steeler quarterback did throw for 343 yards and two interceptions. Roethlisberger’s top target for the game was Antonio Brown, whom caught eight passes for seventy-four yards and no touchdowns.

Le’Veon Bell was kept in check by the Jets defense as he on rushed for thirty-six yards, although he did catch eight passes for thirty-three yards. The lone touchdown reception was scored by a Martavis Bryant catch. Bryant caught four passes for 143 yards. The Steelers defense did not help their offense at all as it only accounted for four sacks, but did not have any turnovers.

Pittsburgh is visiting Tennessee on Monday night football. The Jets are getting a well deserved bye week.

NFL Week 9: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, November 02, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens play game that are physical and usually defensive. This weeks game was an aberration to the rivalry between the two teams. The game was a very physical one, as fights broke out through out the contest.

The Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger passed for a record twelve touchdowns in two games. Half of those touchdown passes were against the Baltimore Ravens. Roethlisberger threw to eight different receivers as he passed for 340 yards. His favorite receiver being Antonio Brown who caught eleven passes for 144 yards and one touchdown. The Ravens kept Steelers from running the ball, as the runners averaged less then four yards a carry.

The Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for an interception. The Steelers defense kept the Ravens running backs to fifty-nine yards rushing. The Ravens were still in the game even though Roethlisberger had his record breaking game against them.

The Ravens are playing the struggling Tennessee Titans at home. Pittsburgh is traveling to the big apple to play the New York Jets, who have lost eight games in a row.

NFL Week 8: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, October 26, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

Ben Roethlisberger’s historic night put the Steelers up early and they never looked back, satisfying themselves with a blowout win of AFC rival Indianapolis. While it is early in the season to say this was a ‘must win’ scenario for Pittsburgh, the Steelers certainly played like it was putting up a league high 51 points against Indianapolis’ 34. All six of Pittsburgh’s touchdowns came by arm of Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Wide Receiver Antonio Brown enjoyed a career night with ten catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Also playing well for the Steelers were Rookie WR Martavis Bryant who snagged two touchdowns of his own and second year running back Le’Veon Bell who have 148 total yards. Steelers fans are not likely to soon forget this win.

Chuck Pagano’s Colts struggled mightily on defense, failing to initiate a pass rush of any kind and recording no sacks. Former number one overall pick Andrew Luck was the bright spot again with another solid performance at Quarterback, though he was hindered by two interceptions to go with his three touchdowns. Both Wide Receivers T.Y. Hilton and Rookie Donte Moncrief pulled out big performances, each grabbing seven catches, over one hundred yards receiving, and a touchdown a piece. The running game will no doubt be hitting the film room to figure out what went wrong as Indianapolis looks ahead to the next week.

NFL Week 7: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Houston Texans on Monday, October 20, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

Monday night was a big night for the two teams in this game. Houston and Pittsburgh had three wins and needed a win to stay competitive in their divisions. The Houston Texans started the game out fast taking a Thirteen point lead. The Texans defense was controlling Pittsburgh offense until late in the second quarter. With about five minutes left in the first half the Steelers scored twenty-four straight points to take the lead for good. The first half was dominated by the Texans, the team did not turn over the ball as well as giving up a sack. The Steelers also scored on a trick play, Antonio Brown threw a touchdown pass to Lance Moore for the lead.

The Steelers top running back LeVeon Bell scored a touchdown and accounted for 145 total yards. Brown also caught nine passes for ninety yards. The Texans top running back Arian Foster scored a touchdown and accounted one-hundred fifteen total yards. The Texans top receiver for the game DeAndre Hopkins caught six passes for one-hundred-eight yards. Houston plays Tennessee in an important AFC South divisional match up. Pittsburgh is playing Indianapolis at home for a key AFC contest.

Pittsburgh Steelers had defeated the Cleveland Browns when they were playing home. They were however not lucky to maintain a win against the Browns. The game leader of Steelers

was Ben Roethlisberger who made 1 touchdown with 228 yards and 1 interception. The game leader of Browns was Ben Tate who made 2 touchdowns with 78 yards and 25 carries.

NFL Week 5: Pittsburgh Steelers at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 05, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost their fifth consecutive game of the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-9. This loss leaves them miserably and hopelessly winless in the season. The offense of the Steelers wasn’t as good as such. If only the Jaguars’ defense had been a little bit stronger, they would have just conjured up their first victory of the season. Even with a mediocre offense, the Steelers were still able to run away with victory. Though any kind of victory would have served as a moral boost, the Jaguars may still feel inspired by the close loss.

In the match, the Jaguars were off their blocks with power, taking the first quarter 3-0. However, they lost steam in the second quarter, losing 3-10. They held their ground in the third quarter to take it 3-0 again, only to lose the last quarter 0-7, thereby gifting the Steelers their third victory of the season. It seems even their home ground couldn’t serve the advantage they deserved. They are on the road this Sunday against the Titans in another encounter in which they are considered underdogs. The match was played on Sunday 5th October at the EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida.

NFL Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 28, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

Doug Martin was able to give Mike Glennon, a young quarterback the kind of safety blanket that he needs in order to have a lot of success against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Martin was able to let the passing game develop by being a viable option against a largely young Steelers defensive line. Mike Evans and Mike Glennon are starting to build a true connection, the hope is that Evans will be able to stay healthy despite the fact that he left during part of the game in Pittsburgh with an injury. Daquan Bowers was able to make a number of impressive plays, bringing the right approach while attempting to bring down Ben Roethlisberger.

The Steelers need a larger contribution from Lance Moore if they can expect to win more games. They lost 27-24 to the Buccaneers because the Buccaneers were able to start keying on a receiver like Antonio Brown. Brown still had seven catches and two touchdowns, but the Steelers did not really show a very balanced offense. The Buccaneers on the other hand took the time to open up the middle of the field with Austin Sefarin-Jenkins, making life more difficult for Steelers defenders like Arthur Moats and Cameron Heyward. Moats was only able to record one tackle in the game, probably a sign that the Steelers began to get frustrated.

NFL Week 3: Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers on Sunday, September 21, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to bring a fair amount of pressure against the Carolina Panthers as they won by a 37-13 score. The Steelers were able to get some solid play out of Jarvis Jones. Jones was able to force issues within the Panthers offense, despite injuring himself on the play. Mike Mitchell is clearly growing more comfortable with the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary schemes.

The Carolina Panthers were hit with a number of injuries during the game. Jonathan Stewart hurt his foot in the game and Mike Tobert fractured his leg in the game. The Panthers were not able to find their groove offensively, they were able to get a few solid plays out of tight end Greg Olsen, but with the injuries that Jericho Cotchery is facing then the they simply were not ready for the game. The Steelers are clearly getting younger on defense with players like Ryan Shazier as well.

The Steelers were able to find plenty of holes within the Panthers defensive line. Leveon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were able to have plenty of success within the running game. Antonio Brown and Heath Miller continue to find a fair amount of success within the offensive scheme put together by Todd Haley.

NFL Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 11, 8:25 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

At the M&T Bank stadium, the embattled Ravens were handling the Steelers without their star running back Ray Rice who has been suspended indefinitely following the release of a video in which he is shown punching his now wife. However, this roller coaster of emotions was what fueled the Ravens in their 26-6 thumping of the Steelers to see each of the teams go for 1-1 record.

Their star performers included Joe Flacco who threw a pair of touchdown passes to Owen Daniels. The other star performance of the night was from Justin Tucker who kicked four field goals and was key to making the Baltimore Steelers make 3 turnovers. The Steelers in the first half recorded seven first down but the last four came in a moment too late as their fate had already been sealed by a very resilient and efficient Ravens side. There were over 71,000 people that attended the game which was held at the Baltimore home stadium at 8:25PM Eastern time.

It is a great start to the league and it is good to get a break from the bad news that are reflecting and seeing that franchises are working hard to make sure the quality of their game is not affected.

NFL Week 1: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 7, 1:00 PM, Heinz Field

Brian Hoyer, who won the Heisman Trophy displayed a stellar lesson on endurance while Ben Roethlisberger and the whole Pittsburgh Steelers team showed the people on how finishing should be done. Roethlisberger beat Markus Wheaton two times during the last drive to put the 41 yard field goal as the Steelers survived through the game. Cleveland has ever for 11 years now beat the Steelers while on the road. However, for the very first time the gap seems to be closing and getting narrower.

Roethlisberger passed over 365 yards and had a touchdown while Le’Veon had a total of 197 yards as well as a score and Brown made due with 5 passes over 116 yards and a touchdown. Roethlisberger had this to say, we cannot apologize for the means we use to win. We just have to keep winning games.

Cleveland’s 2nd half was without josh Gordon the receiver, Ben Tate a running back who faces a knee injury and Jordan Cameron the tight end. The highlight of the game was however in the second quarter when Brown tried going over lanning only to smash into his face. This play drew a roughness penalty on him, and probably the very first on a punt returner. The game played on 7th September 1:00pm at the Heinz Field ended at a 27-30 in the favor of the Steelers.

What you missed in Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2013 season

There could have been no more disappointing start to the 2013 campaign of the Pittsburgh Steelers than what it had. Fans in the steel town are not used to a 0-4 start and can certainly not put up with it for long. Fortunately, the Steelers did manage to end the season at 8-8. The fact that the team did not just fold its tents and gave up after such a rocky start is laudable. The coach Tomlin deserves special praise for such a turnaround.

One bright spark in the team was the rookie running back Le’Veon who never slowed down during the entire season. He may not have hogged the limelight at fantasy draft parties but will certainly be on the radar for 2014 drafts. Another bright player was wide receiver Antonio Brown who is expected to turn out to be the Steelers’ might for years to come.

Ben Roethlisberger had a slow start. He was pressing himself too hard during the first four games that Steelers lost. He tried to make up for his team’s performance by trying to cause a quarter back take chances which is not a recipe for NFL success. However, he did earn the credit of taking his team to 8-4 over the course of next 12 matches.

Ben received a lot of help in the form of running back drafted by Steelers, Le’Veon Bell. Bell proved his mettle against some seemingly impregnable defences throughout the season. He has to his credit, 45 catches which resulted in a touchdown. The fact that 2013 was his first season makes the owners expect more and more improvement in his body language and maturity levels.

2013 season revealed the importance of receivers. Players like Antonio Brown turned out to be big time play makers capable of raking up some much needed receiver points for the team. Brown accumulated nearly 1500 yards. He managed 110 passes and scored 8 TDs. Brown is all set to be more explosive than ever on the field in 2014.

Heath Miller seems to be on his way down. His 2 year old knee injury had not completely healed and it made it difficult for Miller to play at his full potential. Miller could tally just one trip into the end zone which is certainly nothing much to write home about. NFL fans are likely to miss Miller on the field in 2014.

As you draw up your mock fantasy draft boards, do not make the mistake of dismissing Pittsburgh Steelers just because they had an uninspiring 2013 season. The fact remains that the Super Bowl teams of previous years were not the champs right from the beginning; instead they threw into form along the way and watching Pittsburgh Steelers streaming will allow you to follow their development.
