NFL Season 2017, Week 17: Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans on Sunday, December 31, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

As the Colts’s coach, Chuck Pagano was aspiring for another victory. On this note, it is important for Chuck to stand by and watch if this will be his final winning match for the club. As the Colts squashed the Houston at 22-13, Marlon Mark was able to run for another while Jacoby Brissett also had one touchdown. With Chuck’s six seasons constant loss, this win was able to consolidate his effort as the head coach.

While the win remains a remarkable moment for Pagano, it may not be able to accomplish his stay in the season in the next football appearances. Since the Colts were removed from the playoffs in the 3rd consistent season, the topic of Pagano has remained critical. On the contract record, Chuck may likely have extra two years to be with the team. The Texans finished last in the AFC South, lost 9 out of their 10 match and six consecutive defeats. With the recent win, the team should not glory on any achievement for the second or first round in 2018. When questioned about the record of Texans, Bill O’Brien the coach replied it is difficult and brutal. Both O’Brien and Pagano have been under fire even while they tried and failed.

NFL Season 2017, Week 16: Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, December 23, 4:30 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens managed to hold off the Indianapolis Colts to a close 23-16 final score, with the Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco connecting for two touchdowns and an impressive 237 yards. The game was only sealed with less than 2 minutes on the clock (1.38) when Maurice Andy managed to intercept a fourth down pass intended for T.Y Hilton. The Ravens led all through, but were ran close by the Colts who came to within three in the third quarter at 16-13, before Ravens’ Joe Flacco threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Williams Maxx to secure the victory.

This win sees the Ravens move up to fifth in the AFC, ahead of the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans. The game wasn’t expected to be this tight, with the Colts having a measly record of 3-11. The Ravens made hard work of it, and Joe Flacco could be seen to be too careful with the ball. However, they did just enough in this encounter, with the Colts’ valiant efforts being led by Adam Vinatieri who kicked three field goals and quarterback Jacoby Brissett who completed only 16 of 33 passes. The Ravens move forward as they inch towards a playoff berth, but the season is over for the Colts, who once again came up short in a close encounter.

NFL Season 2017, Week 15: Indianapolis Colts vs Denver Broncos on Thursday, December 14, 8:25 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The game between the Broncos and the Colts did not go as we thought it would. The game was very interesting because the Colts were not able to capitalize on the fact that the Broncos were having problems at quarterback. The Broncos were able to stop the Colts from scoring, and they were ableto get some scoring on defense. It is very simple to see why the Broncos won because their defense is so good. They have made the shift to defense as their featured squad, and they might have to stay this way for a while.

The Colts were not able to get anything going on offense because they have not had Andrew Luck back in the line up yet. The Colts are fading this season, and the Broncos will not be able to catch up in their division. The Colts have proven that they need to get Andrew Luck back, and the Broncos have shown that they need to reevaluate how they are managing their team. The Broncos and Colts are both in the middle of seasons that are just not going all that well.

NFL Season 2017, Week 14: Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 10, 1:00 PM, New Era Field

The last game between buffalo bills and Indianapolis colts was just another football game, but, Thanks! To the snow, it made it a spectacular show. Almost everything was white, when the game began. It snowed so hard, that it was almost impossible to see West end from the East end stands. Anyways, the game had to be played and Buffalo Bills won by 13-7 after LeSean McCoy scored a 21-yard run and topped the 1000-yard mark for the sixth time, this time in extremely bizarre conditions. As soon McCoy touched down, Bill’s sideline celebrated with snowballs and snow angels.

One of the Bills player was deceived by the uniform of Colts. He couldn’t distinguish between his mates and Colts. It was such a weird game, I hope you didn’t miss it. At the end Bill’s fans took their shirts off despite the cold weather. The game had all the elements of a weirdness and coldness, I have never experienced such a game in my whole life. It was fun to watch. If you are wondering about penalties, there was a total of five penalties. Bill’s assessed 10 yards while Colt’s 20 yards.

NFL Season 2017, Week 13: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, December 03, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The Jaguars’ formula for success this week against the colts should be the same as it has been all year. Jacksonville leads the league in sacks with 23 and there are doing it without having to blitz. Only a handful of teams blitz less often than they do but who needs the extra pressure when you have Kalie Scandal who is second in the league and sacks with 8. Their front four should have the ability to make a major impact on the Colts this. Can the Jags get things back on track against the Colts this week and stay in the thick of the playoff race? Here are 5 things to know about this matchup plus our prediction winner.

First up get your sack tracker ready because this one could get ugly. Jacksonville sack Jacobi Brissett ten times in week 7 and leads the league in the sack in 41 thus their nickname Saxonville. So let’s call the Colts Indianapolis sack but for the opposite reason, they gave up 8 more sacks this past week and they’ve allowed 47 total sacks worst in the league. Second, those 10 sacks were a big reason the Jags shut the colts out in that game 27-0. The game was in Indy too. This one is in Jacksonville. The Jags didn’t just suffer a loss this last week. They suffered an identity crisis of sorts as well.

NFL Season 2017, Week 12: Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans on Sunday, November 26, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

When Tennessee started slowly in the match, both Derrick Henry and DeMarco Murray took the deal personally. These two running backs ensure that they delivered a flurry fight to the opponent. With 5 powerful runs midway, Henry was able to deliver the body blows through the 4th quarter of the game. Murray from one yard eventually pitched it in with 5:59 remaining in the game. This helped the Titans to win the game with a 20-16 victory. This remain the first win for the Titans in ten tries for the current season. To be precise, the game was too far from calling it a dominant performance for the Titans. The Titans completed the match with two hundred and seventy-six yards in total, where the first half remains a debacle. On two occasions, Mariota was picked off.

Mariota the number twelfth strong offence delivered on eleven carried nine yards. The Tennessee was able to score two goals at the moment of play during the raucous game. The Titans managed to dominate the game from the first quarter unto the late period. In the third quarter, the Tennessee trailed by ten for the second straight game against the Colts. The combination of Murray and Henry helped to further devastate the Colts, helping the Titans to win the game without much difficulty.

NFL Season 2017, Week 10: Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, November 12, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts was an outstanding game. The Pittsburgh Steelers won with a 20-17 score. The Pittsburgh Steelers had a 3-day winning streak. The defense of the team was just outstanding in this match. Andrew Luck was put on injured reserved. He will not be able to play for the whole season, which is a shame for this player too. The Pittsburgh Steelers just rallied from an amazing two-touchdown deficit to beat the powerful Indianapolis Colts at the famous Lucas Oil Stadium this Sunday.

Chris Boswell was just amazing during the game because he just nailed a 33-yard goal in the field. The time was expiring when he did that, and he gave Pittsburgh the important win that they needed so much. The Colts were working hard to build a 17-3 lead because they were able to get some scoring strikes right away. Jacoby Brissett worked hard to get a 60-yard touchdown just in the second quarter creating the first points of the game. This is truly awesome and we want to see this player doing such as a great job again and again. Brissett also got a 60-yard touchdown later.

NFL Season 2017, Week 9: Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans on Sunday, November 05, 1:00 PM, NRG Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts came into the game with a three-game losing streak, but they found a way to hold the Houston Texan offense to fourteen points and win the game twenty to fourteen. The Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for three hundred and eight yards and two touchdowns. He also did not have an interception. Brissett’s main receiver on the day was T.Y. Hilton who caught five passes for one hundred and seventy-five yards and scored two touchdowns. Jack Doyle also caught eight passes for sixty-three yards. Running back Frank Gore also ran for fifty-one yards on seventeen attempts to give the Colts offense a balanced attack.

The Texans quarterback Tom Savage threw for two hundred and nineteen yards on nineteen completions. He did not throw any interceptions. Savages prime target was DeAndre Hopkins who the quarterback targeted seventeen times. The pair only connected on six passes for eighty-six yards and a lone touchdown. Lamar Miller ran fifty-seven yards on ten attempts. The Texans scored on the defensive side of the ball. Safety Eddie Pleasant recovered a fumble and ran it in for a touchdown which was the only other score that the Texans could against the colts stingy defense.

NFL Season 2017, Week 8: Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, October 29, 1:00 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

Possibly the Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals shouldn’t win. Perhaps they would just have beaten a modest bunch of groups on Sunday. Perhaps Sunday more demonstrated how far the Bengals need to go to have any expectation in 2017. But they can go to bed knowing they stayed away from calamity. They can spare the responses to the issues as yet tormenting them for one more day. What’s more, in transit out of the locker room, everybody in the building should embrace Carlos Dunlap. His one-man pass separation and pick-six set off a gigantic breathe out in Paul Brown Stadium in the Bengals’ 24-23 triumph against the humble Colts.

They go ahead into a three-game street swing with an opportunity to right the ship of this season and also begin and come back to .500 out of the blue. Meanwhile, the master plan takeaway was about as radiant as the dull mists covering the city on Sunday. Indeed, even on the uncommon event, the line gave time to Dalton; he was not able to locate any steady association with A.J. Green or any other person. Joe Mix on, who announced himself needing more touches, delighted in a 66-yard breakout on a screen, but marshaled by nothing in the run game and lost a bungle to set up a Colts field objective. The safeguard – anticipated that would be the mallet to convey this group – permitted the hapless Colts and Jacoby Brisket to push them around in advance on the run and looked lost over and over prompting focuses, however, they could complete with a whirlwind when Indy was compelled to

NFL Season 2017, Week 7: Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 22, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

With a curveball on Sunday, Blake Bortles was able to set up the Colts. With a rare shutout, the Jaguar’s defense finished it as being dominant. Bortles threw for a season-high three hundred and thirty yards while feature back Leonard Fournette remains inactive. Bortles also had one 1 touchdown and the defense remained fixed with a franchise report of ten sacks in a 27-0 win at Indy. The Jaguars’ 4-3 lead could not have scripted a good combination under the circumstances. The Jaguars have spent all their time in improving their deep throws.

The truth is that it worked well for the Jaguars this time. In the first half, Bortles was able to finish passes of 45, 50, and 52 yards. All Bortles’ passes were longer than the past season best of thirty-five yards. With a rating of 124.7, Bortles wound up eighteen of twenty-six, which remains the 4th highest of his whole career. T.J. Yeldon filled in for the injured Fournette and ran 9 times for one hundred and twenty-two yards. This includes a fifty-eight-yard run late in the 3rd quarter that sealed Indy’s hope. Bortles really enjoyed the alteration of peace.

NFL Season 2017, Week 6: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans on Monday, October 16, 8:30 PM, Nissan Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts were not able to effectively stop the two headed monster of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry, The Titans needed a bigger game from the running backs than usual due to the fact that Marcus Mariotta was not going to be at his usual strength due to a hamstring injury. The young quarterback, Anthony Brissett was able to be extremely successful in the game with the help of Ty Hilton, Dante Moncrief and Jack Doyle. Doyle did have a late fumble that ultimately cost the Colts the game, and it will cause continue to ask questions about Chuck Pagano’s job security.

There are players like Frank Gore that may not have been used properly in goal line situations by Colts offensive coordinator, Rob Chudzinski. You know that Gore is simply at the end career, and the truth is that the Titans were able to take advantage of the fact that Gore may be on his last legs, but they also knew that the younger Colts running backs were not ready to go. You knew that the Colts defense would ultimately be in trouble due to the fact that there were reports that Andrew Luck was lighting them up in practice as an injured quarterback. The Colts are going to have a hard time moving forward if they cannot handle a situation where they faced a hobbled quarterback like Mariota and an outdated defensive system run by Dick LeBeau.

NFL Season 2017, Week 4: Indianapolis Colts at Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 01, 8:30 PM, CenturyLink Field

As the Indianapolis Colts met the Seattle Seahawks this week, fans from each franchise wondered how their team would perform. Both teams have not had the greatest start to the season, as each entered the game with a 1-2 record. Seattle’s offense struggled in the first half managing on 3 points. The Seahawks other first half score came on a 27 yard interception that was returned for a touchdown. The Colts, on the other hand, had a better first half showing scoring 2 offensive touchdowns and a defensive safety which gave them a 15-10 lead at half time.

There must have been one very good pep talk in the Seahawks locker room, because they came into the second half as a completely different team. Russell Wilson sparked the lagging Seahawk offense with a 23 yard touchdown run followed by two touchdown passes. The defense chipped in with another score on a fumble return for a touchdown. The defense also came into the second half playing like a different team. They stifled the Colts offense completely shutting down both their passing and rushing attacks. For the entire second half, they limited the Colts to a single Adam Vinatieri field goal. The blowout puts the Seahawks at 2-2 for the season and drops the Colts to a dismal 1-3.

NFL Season 2017, Week 3: Indianapolis Colts vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 24, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

On Sunday, the Colts beat the Browns by a score of 31-28. On the season, this lost has made the Browns remain on 0-3. The Browns have lost twenty-eight out of the thirty games they have played. The Brown has last won since Week 5 of 2015. When the Browns had to meet with the Colts, things also went wrong again. The Colts were able to beat the Browns in the second quarter. This is because the Colts took advantage of the Browns and scored three times. The Cleveland used the opportunities they have in several instances. For instance, Jacoby Brissett had a rushing touchdown that made the Colts lead by 28-7.

When DeShone Kizer, the quarterback of the Browns scored, they were looking to return to the game. He hit ten plays by moving seventy-five yards and a striking rookie. David Njoku with a single yard touchdown pass supported his effort in the game as well. In the third quarter, the Browns had the opportunity to get into the game again while being down by 28-14. The offense of the Browns continues to fall and the Colts used their opportunities well. DeShone Kizer later had two amazing possessions was squandered. This helped the Colts to remain in the lead until the end of the game. One big lesson to learn in the match is that players must learn to use any opportunity available.

NFL Season 2017, Week 2: Indianapolis Colts vs Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, September 17, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Cardinals were able to get through the overtime with the support of Carson Palmer. Phil Dawson and Tyrann Mathieu tried to ebb away from the Colts as quick and possible they can get. From scrimmage in the extra period, Mathieu rejected new Indianapolis Colts quarterback called Jacoby Brissett on the first play. In four plays later, Dawson was able to make a thirty-yard field goal to provide the Cardinals a 16-13 victory. The rally was not a small feast on day that is full of comebacks. For Palmer, he seems not to connect with every receiver throughout the day. In the final 8 minutes of the regulation period, Palmer delivered exceptionally to give the Cardinals an opportunity.

Palmer was among the sixteen of thirty-nine who had three hundred and thirty-two yards, one interception and a single touchdown. The defense of the Cardinals enabled scoring to reach fourteen, eight and sixteen plays. They also endeavor to keep the Colts and Brissett out of the final area for the rest fifty-two minutes prior to Mathieu showing up with the play of the day by getting rid of Colts Aiken. After pushing a forty-two-yards field goal wide right, the dependable Dawson used the advantage of rare 2nd half opportunity as time expired in regulation. The Colts did not attempt to improve on their game until the last play while struggling in the red zone. The match ended in favor of the Cardinals.

NFL Season 2017, Week 1: Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, September 10, 4:05 PM, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

This past Sunday, September 10, the Indianapolis Colts suffered a devastating loss to the Los Angeles Rams at the season opening game. The season started off strong with quarterback Andrew Luck looking like he was set to be the natural predecessor to Peyton Manning. Then, Luck’s shoulder was injured and he was unable to play in the game. The replacement quarterback, Scott Tolzien, was unable to hold his ground and might or might not be the starting quarterback in future games. Coach Chuck Pagano is staying mum about the decision for now.

The rest of the team didn’t do much better. The defense was embarrassingly bad. They made it easy for Jared Goff to make the best pass in his entire career. This was, of course, not the only cringe-worthy decision made by the Colts last Sunday, and the game ended in a disastrous score of 46-9. It’s safe to say that whether Tolzien or Jacoby Brissett is used in this week’s game, it won’t do much to alleviate the disappointment of devoted Colts fans. Ticket prices are plummeting for their future games and will most likely continue to drop if the Colts can’t manage to turn things around for Indianapolis. Rumors of Luck being traded are not helping matters. The future of the Colts, at this point, remains unclear.

NFL Preseason 2017, Week 4: Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, August 31, 7:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

NFL Preseason 2017, Week 3: Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, August 26, 7:30 PM, Heinz Field

Without any iota of doubt, it is unequivocal that the Colts are in the best form. The Indianapolis Colts have done everything required to win after overcoming huge injuries and deficits. The Colts are also doing everything to ensure that their playoff hopes remain outstanding for the season. Records have also shown that the Colts have had three straight wins without any defeat. Nevertheless, the Colts have not been able to encounter a tougher team of a top-tier quarterback at their best. Matt Ryan hasn’t remained the same player for this season, Pey Manning has been showing signs of injury and age, while James Winston is still in a great shape.

The truth is that not negative can be mentioned on behalf of Ben Roethlisberger. Ben has had a great year after missing a huge portion of the season with a severe injury on his own. In the last three outings, Ben has thrown around 389.7 yards for each game. Ben is ready and prepared for an incredible game against the Indianapolis Colts. Matt Hasselbeck the veteran beginner for the Colts has shown that age is not a factor on his side. This is because Matt has been able to pull off a 315-yard game to show his salience. This year, the Steelers have not had the opportunity to stop anyone through the air.

NFL Preseason 2017, Week 2: Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, August 19, 7:00 PM, AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 24-19 in Dallas in the second preseason game for both teams. Dallas starting quarterback Dak Prescott was sharp in the early going, engineering an opening touchdown drive capped by a 32 yard pass to Dez Bryant for the score. Indianapolis answered back later in the first quarter, when backup Dallas quarterback Kellen Moore fumbled into the arms of Indianapolis linebacker Lavar Edwards, who ran the fumble back 15 yards for the touchdown to even the score at 7. The second half was relatively subdued, with only a field goal made from either side, and the score remained level heading into half time.

A second Adam Vinatieri field goal put the Colts up 13-10, but Dallas took back the lead through a 19 yard touchdown pass by rookie 3rd string quarterback Cooper Rush to fellow rookie Noah Brown. Rush would extend Dallas’ lead to 24-13 in the fourth quarter, hooking up with rookie wideout Lance Lenoir on a 3 yard touchdown pass. Indianapolis managed to score with less than a minute remaining in the game, as rookie quarterback Stephen Morris connected with rookie wideout Stephen Morris on an 18 yard touchdown pass. But the 2 point conversion attempt failed, and Dallas hung on to win the game.

NFL Preseason 2017, Week 1: Indianapolis Colts vs Detroit Lions on Sunday, August 13, 1:30 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

On Sunday, Kenny Golladay didn’t get into blaming his nerves, as he had done earlier this week. He managed to catch 3 passes and to score 2 touchdowns leading to a 24-10 win in favour of the Lions. Golladay, after the hard practice, was able to outrun Quincy Wilson for both of His scores.

His coach, Jim Caldwell praise for this pretty play. The catches were tough enough but he managed them. The lions used the best skilled players only once and then handed over to the backups who di equally well. Matthew Stafford further completed 2 of 3 passes for 36 yards, but later clashed with Marvin Jones. Jake Rudok finally led the lions to 3 more scores. He was substituted in the third quarter.

Greg Robinson had just been acquired recently in June, but the Lions entrusted him for the entire first half, though he was still getting accustomed to the rules of the game. Also, Kerry Hyder sustained some injury and could not complete the game. The reliable Haloti Ngata and Darius Slay were not present, but this did not derail the Lions. They managed 5 sacks, without touching down until the game ended.

It is to praise the job L. Miller did; the guy just ran dozens of yards and yards without anyone capable to stop him, so far that he got himself a walking touchdown!

The best kicker of that match was Nick Novak; his years of experience showed the world how far he can score from afar, giving his team the dominance over the first and second quarter of the match.

In the third quarter the Colts reacted in order to stay more on the defensive lines rather than the offensive lines, the positioning and movements from the Houston were near unstoppable as every come back from the Colts on the offensive resulted in the Texas boys getting the ball instead.

The moment of truth came when G. Harrison scored a Touchdown near the half of the third quarter, giving his team enough confidence to keep on fighting, and just as it is, the rest of the team scored more on the last minutes of the 3rd.

By the last quarter, despite all the efforts made from the Colts, in the end, the Houston Texans got the game on their hands, as they have scored a gap difference of 13 points back in the 3rd quarter, giving them a free opportunity to win.

Incredible game, but a combination of luck and skill were the reasons the Houston Texans won, next week to come is going to get even hotter!

NFL Season 2016, Week 13: Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets on Monday, December 05, 8:30 PM, MetLife Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts seemed almost relentless against the New York Jets on Monday night, taking home an incredible 41-10 victory. The almost ruthless defeat had die-hard Jets’ fans leaving the stands, with the Colts’ tight end Dwayne Allen scoring three touchdowns, whilst Andrew Luck was just out to prove why he has been hailed one of the best QBs in the game.

It is fair to say, and we are sure both Bowles and his team would agree, that the Jets’ defense just wasn’t up to standard. Nothing Bowles does lately seems to strike a cord in his players, despite him attempting to motivate the defense throughout the game, only to face an embarrassing defeat. If anything, Colts’ Andrew Luck just highlighted that the Jets are lacking a star QB, which the coaching staff should have identified much earlier in the season. If the Jets want to stand a chance of being in season contention next year, some changes need to be made – and we don’t just mean the players.

NFL Season 2016, Week 12: Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, November 24, 8:30 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts on NFL’s Thanksgiving Day saw the hosts concede 28-7 to the visitors. The game was a detriment of the future of both teams, especially for the Steelers who had conceded important games in the recent past. On the start of the game, the hosts had taken most of the possession with the mid play being remarkable. However, the Steelers seemed to take charge as the game progressed. In terms of game possession, the both teams had their share of possession, but the attacking power of Colts had requires some polishing, since it showed loopholes. The win for the Steelers creates another start of a tough journey, if they are to proceed in the league.

Donte Moncrief and Scoot Tolzein had great efforts in ensuring the Colts kept pace of the game, especially in the second quarter. For the victors, Antonio brown made three major passes at the 22, 25 and 33 yards that transformed Ben Roethl’s passes into goals. Brown had much of his effort put into test in the fourth quarter while Bell had a remarkable five yard run in the first quarter. In terms of team working, Steelers created fruitful passes all throughout the game having over 70 percent accuracy, compared to 60 percent of the opponents. When compared to previous games, Colts seemed relaxed and assumed most of the mistakes that cost them the match.

NFL Season 2016, Week 11: Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans on Sunday, November 20, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Titans have swept off four of the last six matches in total, but have fumbled 10 straight in series since flattening Colts in October 2011. Nevertheless, the enthusiasm to enter a match with Tennessee Titans is becoming comparatively less. If you are thinking this is because they instill undue fear in rivals, that would be stretching it a bit. However, nobody can deny that they dole out a hefty and fierce competition with brute strength. Last Sunday, when they played against the Indianapolis Colts, Colts were expecting a Goliath of a game as they were only hanging on by a hairs breadth in the finals.

Though they did manage to flatten the Titans before, Indianapolis had to get over their reputation as more of a refined team to jump to 2-0 against Tennessee. Colts and their history of ill-timed yellow cards and pitiable team management skills perhaps prompted audience to be a tad biased. But Indianapolis’ win certainly came off as a huge shock as they have been quite inconsistent throughout the year. Quite a few have lost huge amount of money. This 24-17 win will certainly cement their reputation for some time but pundits will argue that with a team whose pattern is largely predicable, it might be an uphill task for them upholding their winning ways.

NFL Season 2016, Week 9: Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers on Sunday, November 06, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

The Packers were narrowly beaten 31-26 by Colts on Sunday. Frank Gore made two touchdowns in a thrilling match which. Andrew Luck recovered from two interventions in the first 15 minutes to complete with a fantastic pass as well as a perfect touchdown. Indianapolis who recorded worst NFL performance after conceding 31 touchdowns in the match, gave their defense right protection. Aaron Rogers’ classic comeback ignited the colts’ confidence after surviving a tough attempts from the opponents. Rogers made a three-yard descent pass to Cobb with 3 minutes remaining to get Green Bay 4-4, getting 14 extra point in four additional minutes. Rodgers finished with three 297 yards touchdowns as well as an interception. Indianapolis made their score after Luck’s throw, who evaded a probable sack by handing Clinton-Dix’s to hurl a 20-yard pass with three minutes left on the pitch.

Also Luck passed the ball to T.Y. Hilton with 2 minutes left to end the game, Hilton then made a 27 yard completion. Luck threw both captures to secure Clinton-Dix completing 23 of 36. However, the dubious Luck kept his moves away from other difficult field spots plus a 7-yard commotion on a bootleg in the last quarter. He cleverly made a 96-yard pass which completed with an 8-yard descent pass Moncrief with only 11 seconds remaining on the pitch to earn Colts a halftime lead of 21-10 in the game which ended 31-26 in favor of the home team.

NFL Season 2016, Week 8: Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 30, 12:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Kansas City Chiefs faced off against Indianapolis Colts in a match that saw Chiefs beat Colts 30-14 and gain their third consecutive win. The Chiefs defense performed exceptionally well, giving the Colts offense a hard time throughout the match. However, fans will be watching the Chiefs offense in the upcoming match. One key moment of the game was when Alex Smith was removed from the game a second time but this time for good after taking hard hits to the head. On the other hand, Nick Foles had a flawless game throwing two touchdowns.

Andrew Luck struggled with Colts offense and had to be sacked six times. We can only wait to see the Chiefs performance when they face Jaguars. The Colts will face Packers. Alex Smith impressively threw for 153 yards, unfortunately he fumbled once and had to picked off twice. Another player who fumbled was Knile Davis setting up the Chief with several penalties. Due to many penalties the Chiefs could not have a second-half comeback. During the last quarter of the match Smith was picked by Freeman and the quarterback fumbled away while only 3; 24 was left. There was hardly any chance for the Colts to win by now as little time was left.

This was a huge win for Kansas City Chiefs and fans are eager to see their performance in upcoming matches.

NFL Season 2016, Week 7: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans on Sunday, October 23, 1:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

The Tennessee Titans started off with some trickery, scoring on a tackle eligible pass early in the 1st quarter, as the Titans faced off against a faltering Indianapolis Colts squad in Tennessee. Tennessee ended up botching the subsequent extra point kick, and putting the ball into the hands of Andrew Luck. Luck, who after several close losses must have been eager to prove himself, would go on to have a huge game, going 27 of 39 (including five drops by receivers), 353 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Running Back Frank Gore got into the end-zone early for the Colts, and so did receiver TY Hilton, who had a monster game with 133 yards and a touchdown.

After Hilton’s touchdown, the ever-dangerous Pat McAfee kicked a tricky onside kick to give the Colts back the ball. Despite the successes of the Colts, the Titans never went away and even took the lead back in the 4th quarter on a field goal. Running back DeMarco Murray sliced through defenders on his way to 107 yards and a touchdown. Late in the fourth, the Colts took the lead back with one final touchdown pass to Tight End Jack Doyle. Down by 4, the Titans got the ball back and went to drive down field, when the drive was abruptly subverted by a strip sack that was returned for a touchdown by the veteran Robert Mathis. Colts won this one, 34-26.

NFL Season 2016, Week 6: Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans on Sunday, October 16, 8:30 PM, NRG Stadium

At Houston it became a fall from grace for the Colts after a 14-point lead. There could be many reasons at play – Andrew Luck’s poor decisions on the field, bizarre coaching, who knows. Regardless, they played themselves into defeat.

Andrew Luck had a few moments where the pressure clearly got to him. He also made decision that didn’t quite work out, probably because he wasn’t reading the field as well as he should. His adjustments just fell flat and couldn’t get the ball out many times.

Pagano believes he has a good defense when in fact the Colts line is consider one of the worst in the league – so why is he making those risks on a delusion?

What was more delusional was in how the Texan came back in the last quarter. The last time an NFL team rallied from a 14-point deficit in the final three minutes was five years ago (that was with Tim Tebow and the Broncos). Brock Osweiler of the Texans threw a 36-yard pass to Jaelen Strong after tieing with the Colts in the last minute. After that, Nick Novak made a 33-yard field goal in overtime that sealed their victory.

There were a lot of Texan fans that had already left the stadium by the beginning of the fourth. They missed out on one the best comebacks in years.

NFL Season 2016, Week 5: Indianapolis Colts vs Chicago Bears on Sunday, October 09, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

It was agonizing, sad and unbelievable for the Chicago Bears to accept the 29-23 defeat at Lucas Oil Stadium by the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. This was a fourth game for the Bears to lose. Although they outplayed Indy in almost every aspect, luck was not on their side hence they ended up losing.

As he threw a shot pass over the middle to running back Jordan Howard who scored without struggling much, Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer Spearheaded a touchdown dive to give the Bears a 23-19 lead in the fourth quarter. One of the Bears that had otherwise played perfectly made a poor decision which could have marked the difference in winning and losing. With less than a minute left on the clock for the final whistle to be blown, the Bears reached the Colts 28-yard line on the final possession before turning the ball over on downs.

Hoyer tried forcing the ball into Cameron Meredith rather than passing it to Alshon Jeffery who was now being covered one on one on fourth down with the game on line. While also catching a 21- yard TD pass in the fourth quarter, Bears running back Howard rushed for 118 yards on 16 attempts.

NFL Season 2016, Week 4: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 02, 9:30 AM, Wembley Stadium

The Jacksonville Jaguars hosted the Indianapolis Colts on the 2nd of October. The Jaguars won the game with a close 30-27 score. The head coach for the Jaguars Gus Bradley really needed this win as could be seen from his fidgety nature during the game. The team made him proud and added two more weeks to his job at Jacksonville.

By halftime the Jaguars looked safe with a 17-6 lead with a touchdown by Allen Robison. The Jaguars were leading 23-6 after the third quarter but the Colts soon launched a comeback plan. The Indianapolis team scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter alone which is quite commendable. In their first overseas game they were unable to show their might in the first three quarters only waking up in the last one. But regardless of all the struggle they were unable to ensure a win.

A few minutes to the whistle everyone thought the Colts would catch up and take the day but the Jaguars were saved by the 42-yard touchdown by Allen Hurn. This was the Jaguar’s second win out of the four games they have played while it was the third loss for the Colts. It was a tough game especially in the final quarter with stiff competition from both sides as both coaches put their best players in the field.

NFL Season 2016, Week 3: Indianapolis Colts vs San Diego Chargers on Sunday, September 25, 4:25 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

San Diego Chargers faced off the Indianapolis Colts in a once in a life time match. The match was fierce and fast paced giving the fans a great experience they will remember forever. One of the outstanding moments was Chargers completing a four-yard pass and then taking a five-yard penalty. Minutes in the game, Ferguson gained nine yards and it was an indication of a great game from the start. The Colts had an outstanding defense which is part of the reason they won. One of Colt’s key players Gordon had 28 yard on 14 carries.

Henry Anderson was in great pressure and unfortunately forced a quick pass from Rivers which luckily fell incomplete. Another game changing moment was when Travis Benjamin, who has unfortunately dropped all passes in the season, hauls in an incredible 43-yard pass from Rivers. It is easy to note that T.Y. McGill has being inactive throughout the season and it was no wonder he was benched in favor of Zach Kerr and Anderson. Zach Kerr was on top of his game last week and he amassed five tackles, two quarterback hits and one sack. The game ended with a score of Colt 26, Charger 22.

NFL Season 2016, Week 2: Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 18, 4:25 PM, Sports Authority Field

Andrew Luck and the rest of Indianapolis team was no match to the defence line up of the Broncos. The quarterback of the Colts, Luck, was sacked four times during the game, three of which came from Von Miller. The two primary cornerbacks of the Colts- Patrick Robinson and Vontae Davis weren’t playing at Denver because of injury. Halfway through the game, the two active cornerbacks Darius Butler and Antonio Cromartie had to be ruled out of the game due to an injury. However, Cromartie did come back in the second quarter. The tackle of the Denver Broncos, Donald Stephenson had to be ruled out due to a calf injury in the first quarter of the game.

Andrew Luck had to be the lucky charm in the game and try to lead the bruised and battered Colts to victory. The Broncos had been able to gain only a total of 72 yards in the first half and gaining a lead wouldn’t have been tough for the Indianapolis Colts. However, the commendable defence that was put up by the Broncos in the Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos game led them to forfeit a victory of 0-2 against the Colts on Monday.

NFL Season 2016, Week 1: Indianapolis Colts vs Detroit Lions on Sunday, September 11, 4:25 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Lions were the favorites before the kick-off and they didn’t disappoint as they went on to win against their opponents- Colts in the week 1 match at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

In the first quarter of the game, Theo Riddick put the Lions ahead with a 21-yard running play. The game entered the second quarter with the 7-0 Lions lead. Dwayne Washington team up well with Matt Stafford, Marvin Jones and Anquan Boldin to take the score to 14-0.

Later, Adam Vinatieri hit a 50-yard FG to pull back a score for the Colts. The Lions responded with Matthew Stafford showing a good game and helping the team win another score. Before the end of the first half, Hilton of Indianapolis pulled a score back through a controversial first down play.

The Colts started the second half on fire. They held their opponents to a 3-and-out, run 85 yards on a number of plays to earn a touchdown. The score stood at Lions 21-Colts 18 at this moment. In the dying minutes of the third quarter, Stafford converted on a 3rd-&-9 with a long pass to Golden Tate.

The game entered the last quarter with the scoreline at 28-18, but it didn’t take long before Adam Vinatieri hit a 40-yard field goal. An excellent play between Andrew Luck and Jack Doyle led to a level score.

Later, Riddick took the Lion’s score to 34 with a 13-yard reception before Doyle scored on a 6-yard pass. In the last minutes, Matt Prater hit a 43-yard field goal before his team converting penalty. The final stood at Lions 39-Colts 35.

NFL Preseason 2016, Week 4: Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, September 01, 7:30 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

The game Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals was worth watching as the Colts go past the Bengals in the last minute touchdown by Stephen Morris. This star player’s 25 yard’s sprint going past Steven Smith just stole the game from the Bengals and left the scoreboard ticking at 13-10 giving Indianapolis a victory. Both the teams decided to rest the starters as they feared any injury ahead of the season. Unfortunately, the Indianapolis lost one of its cornerback Tevin Mitchell who suffered a hamstring injury during the game.

Indiana Colts’ Adam Vinatieri scored field goals from 21 and 46 yards respectively. The only field goal he missed was from 47 yards making his preseason count 7 out of 8. Both the teams could not score at half time but right after the halftime, Bengals picked up a field goal to take a lead of 3-0. The game reached an interesting point at that moment. To recover, Adam Vinaterri scored the two field goals for colts to give them a lead. Just under two minutes, Bengals tried to recover with a touchdown pass by Keith winning. Stephen Morris took the up the responsibility and scored with just 40 seconds left to end the game. This star player held his nerves and showed an impressive performance in the preseason, helping Indianapolis win by 13-10.

NFL Preseason 2016, Week 3: Indianapolis Colts vs Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, August 27, 7:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The NFL preseason game of Philadelphia Eagles at Indianapolis Colts was a tight one. The Eagles defeated the Colts 33-23 in what seemed like lack of enough time for the Colts. The match started at a very fast pace with both teams showing their best of skill and tactic. However, there was enough ball drama from the players.

Andrew Luck was so overconfident that he assumed many ball passes that later cost his substitution. He made the game lively with skillful mid and line plays that cheered the whole crowd. Morris had enough space in the game to make some formations that eventually bore fruits. Bradford proved his cornerback skills and always had something for the Colts.

Some players however, made some disappointing performances. Clark looked misplaced and gave the attackers good space to make fruitful formations. The Colts had many penalty faults that cost them their defeat. They seemed to make goals for their opponents with an effective mid play but poor finishing. However, they had a strong defense team in the first half.

The coaches for both teams have done their work properly. Both player coordination and formations were good which gave life to the match. However, this is the preseason and the players should not relax, as there are better teams in the NFL season competing for the same.

NFL Preseason 2016, Week 2: Indianapolis Colts vs Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, August 20, 7:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The second preseason’s game for the Indianapolis Colts was between them and the Ravens. This game had all the advantages directed to the host team the Colts. However something went wrong in the course of the play and they had to lose but with a close range to the Ravens. If it was not for the conversion points that they went for maybe they would have remained on top of the game. That conversion really costed them. You would have not predicted that it will fail.

Generally the game was exciting from both teams. They all worked hard to remain on top of the game so as to book better plays when the season opens. There were a number of moves that when placed together all across the game they made the day to be a real excitement to both the fans and the players at larger. Scenes like having back a legend player Andrew Luck after he was away from the field since November. He played really well and therefore impressed the fans and showed a cool comeback to the team.

NFL Preaseason 2016, Week 1: Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills on Saturday, August 13, 7:00 PM, Ralph Wilson Stadium

The Colts beat out the Bills 19-18 in their preseason opener against Buffalo on Saturday. The Colts announced just a couple of hours before the game that starting quarterback Andrew Luck wouldn’t be playing. Backup Scott Tolzien started the game off for the Colts, with a moderate performance most hindered by accuracy. Tolzien had one touchdown through a catch-and-run by Jordan Todman and led the way to a first half field goal kick. Stephen Morris came in for the second half, clinching the victory for Buffalo with a 57-yard touchdown pass to Chester Rodgers with 10:42 remaining. Tolzien went 12 of 23 for 140 yards while Morris went 5 of 9 for 149 yards. Morris’ performance shows promise for his chances at solid playing time this season.

The game was heated near the end, as Bills quarterback Cradle Jones nearly pulled out a comeback with just seconds left. Jones threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jarrett Boykins in the final seconds, however, Jones’ throw was incomplete in his effort at a 2-point conversion. Bills starting quarterback Tayrod Taylor went 2 of 3 for 7 yards, Manuel went 10 of 18 for 91 yards, and Jones went 11 of 21 for 162 yards.

Indianapolis Coltsseason 2015 recap

The Indianapolis Colts had a long season full of injuries and upsets. They ended the 2015-2016 season at 8-8, and placed second in the AFC South, beating out division rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. A disappointed end to what could have been a better season for the Colts.

Andrew Luck had a little over eighteen hundred passing yard. T.Y. Hilton lead the team in receiving yards at eleven hundred twenty four. And Frank Gore came in at nine hundred sixteen rushing yards.

For a Colts offense that in years past has seen many more passes, catches and touchdowns, this statistics are less than remarkable this season. Andrew Luck did suffer a few injuries this season, leaving the offense in the hands of Matt Hasselback who finished the season with a little over sixteen hundred yards, and a better percentage than Andrew Luck.

Andrew Luck had almost as many interceptions than actually touchdowns this season. The Indianapolis Colts defense struggled to protect their quarter backs this season as well with a total amount of thirty two sacks. The Colts missed the playoffs this year, for the first time in three years.

NFL Season 2015, Week 17: Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans on Sunday, January 03, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts were also able to secure a win over the Tennessee Titans in a very breathtaking match. Their 30-24 victory over the Titans didn’t book them a place in the playoffs, but atleast it went a long way in boosting their morale. Chuck Pagano used a backup plan to secure a victory over the Titans but it just wasn’t enough to book them a place in the playoffs. Ryan Lindley and Josh Freeman were two quarterbacks who had an impressive game. They both had great impact in the first half, each throwing one touchdown pass.

Jerrell Freeman was responsible for an interception which gave the Colts a much deserved win over the Titans. The Texans victory over the Jaguars ended the little hope the Colts had to qualify for the playoffs. The past two weeks showed how impressive Pagano is when it comes to coaching. His backup plan was impressive although it just couldn’t book them a place in the playoffs.

Although they used four different quarterbacks to secure a victory, they were clearly the better side in the past two matches. After the game, several players could be seen hugging Pagano. Perhaps it was a thank you for their coach who’s contract set to expire.

NFL Season 2015, Week 16: Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 27, 1:00 PM, Sun Life Stadium

By winning this game, the Colts stop the Texans (at least for now) from clinching the AFC South, and keep their own chances, however slight, of making the playoffs alive. If they had not won this game, they would have been eliminate from the playoffs.

Back up quarterback Matt Hasselbeck (who is starting for the injured Andrew Luck) completed eight passes after fifteen attempts, throwing for 99 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Colts’s third string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst completed nine passes after fourteen attempts, throwing for 78 yards, throwing no touchdowns, and no interceptions. He played in this game to relieve Hasselbeck (for the fourth game in a row) after he left with another injury.

The Colts have used three quarterbacks this season (Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck, and Charlie Whitehurst), after two have been injured.

Ryan Tannehill completed 26 passes after 38 attempts, throwing for 329 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.

The Colts got out to an lead of nine points, going into halftime (15-6). The Dolphins scored six points in the second half, to only three that the Colts scored. The three the Colts scored in the second half, however, put the game away. It helped to that their defense was able to stop the Dolphins late in the game.

NFL Season 2015, Week 15: Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans on Sunday, December 20, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Brandon Weeden is now the fourth quarterback that the Texans have used and won a game with this season. Weeden saw his marvelous 8-yard pass to the greenhorn Jaelen Strong gave his team the win in a momentous 16-10 triumph. The win marks the Houston Texans’ very first in Indianapolis, and it puts them in firm control of the AFC South with just a couple of weeks to go.

The Houston Texans had lost 13 games consecutively when they visited the Hoosier State. They are now 7 in 7 whereas the Colts are 6 in 8. The Houston Texans will go on to face at Tennessee next Sunday, and then will complete the NFL season at home versus Jacksonville. Meanwhile, the Colts will travel away to Miami next week, and then finish their regular season with the home game against Tennessee.

Weeden, who at the start of the season was with the Cowboys, took the reins here after the torn ACL that affected TJ Yates in the second quarter of this encounter. Brandon Weeden went on to attempt 18 passes and complete 11 passes, for 105 yards. Meanwhile, Alfred Blue completed 107 yards on 20 carries.

NFL Season 2015, Week 14: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, December 13, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

A game which was basically one sided for the better part of it and the Jacksonville Jaguars emerged victorious against Indianapolis by 51 – 16. This ended the Colts winning streak of 16 games in the AFC South. This is maybe one of the most important wins of the Jaguars’ coach in his three seasons at the helm of things here. Blake Bortles threw for what were three touchdowns and also ran for a score in the dying minutes of the game and this means that the longest streak in the division ended with a lackluster performance from a very unlikely opponent.

The Jaguars actually scored on offense as well as defense and special teams in this game which was the first time in four years that they have done it. This was the second 35 point gap loss for the Colts who lost by the same margin against Pittsburg last week. A lot of records were shaken in this game and you wouldn’t have expected such a performance from a team that has been winning for the last 16 games. Though you can’t also dismiss the Jaguars determination in the game which helped them easily clinch this and seal the victory.

NFL Season 2015, Week 13: Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, December 06, 8:30 PM, Heinz Field

Big Ben put up some big numbers in the game against the Colts; these are games, for the Steelers that they need to win if they want to go to the playoffs this season. They are currently behind both the Chiefs and the Jets for the two wildcard spots. Matt Hasselbeck started in place of the injured Andrew Luck; his fifth start of the season and his third in a row (this was his first loss of the season).

Matt Hasselbeck completed sixteen of his 26 passes, throwing for 169 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Ben Roethlisberger completed 24 of his 39 passes, throwing for 364 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the game. Ben has thrown for 300 or more yards in four straight now.

Other Steelers players did very well in the game also, DeAngelo Williams had his 21st (third of this season) 100 yard plus rushing game. As a team, the last two games in two seasons against the Colts have gone very well; they have scored 96 points against this team.

At the end of the first half, the Steelers had scored 21 points in the game, to the Colts’s ten. The ten they scored would be all they would put up in the game. The Steelers would put up 24 more points in the second half.

NFL Season 2015, Week 12: Indianapolis Colts vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, November 29, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts managed to beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-12 in a match that was played at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indiana. Throughout the game Colts offensive consistently blitzed past the Bucs, it seems as if they were confident that the opponent’s guide was weak and could lose one-on-one face offs. Quarterback Jameis Winston was always under pressure in a way he never experienced throughout the season. When under pressure, he made things worse for his team by trying to spin and improvise a way out of the forwards.

Instead of keeping to the game’s original play, or even throwing the ball away so that the opponent’s don’t catch it. Those moves became more recurrent as the game progressed, as did wayward throws which eventually led to their loss. Other Buc offensive line players also didn’t perform well, allowing several pressures against them pass through easily. With their win, Colts now have recorded three straight wins in their league appearance, though they have still felt four places in Power Rankings. Such consistency is what the team needs to come top of their table this season. They are now tied with Houston Texans for first position in the division, though Colts are technically the favorite overall leaders after earlier beating their rivals in Week 5.

NFL Season 2015, Week 11: Indianapolis Colts at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, November 22, 1:00 PM, Georgia Dome

The Colts came from a pair of touchdown deficits to inflict injury on the Atlanta Falcons in a closely contested game. 24 – 21 being the final score in a game that saw the oldest player in the NFL, Adam Vinatieri adding yet another kick that was the winner to his career. With 52 seconds remaining on the clock, the kick sent the Colts to another well deserved victory. Devonta Freeman suffered a concussion earlier on in the game but the Falcons still managed a comfortable and solid lead to the Colts at 14 – 0 as well as 21 – 7. But the second half saw the offence totally humiliated and failed to produce any comeback from all the smashing that they received.

Julio Jones, however, still had a great game yet again making nine passes for the 160 yards. Matt Ryan though was intercepted three times and we can’t say the same for him. Vinatieri though, playing in his 300th NFL game was the savior of the day for the Colts yet again. This means that the Colts are tied in the AFC East for first. This comes despite the heat that has been on Coach Chuck Pagano as well as the front office in lieu of the disappointing season that the team has had.

NFL Season 2015, Week 9: Indianapolis Colts vs Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 08, 4:25 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Indianapolis Colts inflicted the Denver Broncos with their first loss of the season, 27-24. However, it wasn’t an easy victory, though well deserved. The Broncos had literally swept every team before them before this game. In the first quarter, the Colts took off with gusto, taking it 7-0. Try as they could, the Broncos struggled to catch up with them, losing the second quarter 7-10. Realizing that they were actually buckling under the pressure of the Colts, the Broncos woke up to reality, holding off the Colts in the third quarter, finally prevailing 10-0. However, they failed to break the resilient back line of the Colts, as well as their marauding forwards, going down 7-10 in the last quarter.

Going forward, the Colts, at 4-5, have their work cut out if they have to maintain their winning ways. They cannot afford to rest on their laurels. Their next opponents, the Falcons, lie in wait, themselves having lost their last game 16-17 to 49ers. The Falcons will definitely be looking to bounce back to winning ways, hence presenting the Colts with a tough march. On the other hand, the Broncos have just been roused from slumber and we can expect them to turn tables on their next opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs. However, they have learned their lesson of under-rating opponents the hard way. In their last game, Kansas City Chiefs ran riot against the struggling Detroit lions. Therefore, we can expect quite a tough game for the Broncos.

NFL Season 2015, Week 8: Indianapolis Colts at Carolina Panthers on Monday, November 02, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The game played by the Carolina Panthers vs. the Indianapolis Colts was not easy especially because of the pressure put on players from both teams to win and the fact they had to play on sloppy ground given the fact that it was raining. The Carolina Panthers however did manage to win 29- 26 against the Indianapolis colts. With a 7-0 Carolina Panthers won themselves their 11th consecutive win on the regular seasons. This allowed them to take the two-game lead over the Atlanta Falcons. The Carolina Panthers however maintain that their win was not satisfactory to them and they expected that they would do much better.

The Carolina Panthers although they faced major difficulties like losing their left guard Andrew Norwell and having gone into the game without their four times Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil, they still showed a great game, this was shown by supporting each Panther in the game, cheering each other on and having each others backs in every single move. These qualities made it impossible for them to loose and had it not been for the many challenges in the game, they maybe would have gotten to their goal. There were also backed greatly by the fact that their loyal fans were still cheering them on despite the bad weather. This made them want to win even more.

NFL Season 2015, Week 7: Indianapolis Colts vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 25, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The New Orleans Saints took a big lead on the Indianapolis Colts and held on to win 27-21. Mark Ingram led the way on offense by rushing for 143 yards on 14 carries. The Saints defense continues to improve each game after looking pitiful at the start of the season.

Khiry Robinson of the Saints opened the scoring with a short touchdown run after a 10-play 78-yard opening drive highlighted by a fake field goal attempt when holder Luke McCown took the snap and found Ben Watson on fourth and nine. In the second quarter, Saints rookie linebacker Stephone Anthony intercepted a pass at the Indy 23 and Robinson finished off the short drive with a 6-yard rush. Michael Hoomanawanui caught a 16-yard pass from Drew Brees and the Saints were up 20-0 at halftime.

Mark Ingram scored a touchdown to put New Orleans ahead 27-0 in the third quarter. Indianapolis finally put some points on the board in the third when wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught two long passes of 87 and 46 yards for touchdowns. Both plays came after defender Delvin Breaux tripped over Hilton’s foot and fell to the ground. Breaux later batted away a pass in the end zone intended for Hilton on an impressive play. Breaux didn’t play college ball because he broke his neck in high school. He worked his way up from a sand lot league to the NFL. He’s very talented but his inexperience showed on those two plays.

The Colts scored again in the fourth quarter to pull within 6 points. They almost recovered the ensuing onside kick but the Saints recovered and were able to run out the clock.

The Colts gave up 5 sacks to the Saints and quarterback Andrew Luck was ineffective until his team was far behind. They had trouble running the ball with only 75 yards net rushing.

The turnaround the Saints defense has made from the beginning of the season may be a mirage but it looks like they have some young guys on that side of the ball who can play. Both teams are 3-4 on the season but the Saints seem to be ascending while the Colts are heading in the opposite direction.

NFL Season 2015, Week 6: Indianapolis Colts vs New England Patriots on Sunday, October 18, 8:30 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Months ago, the Indianapolis Colts gave the New England Patriots a good run for their money when they won the game and this Sunday, as expected, was a chance for the Patriots to get even. Even though Patriots took the game 34-27, the win didn’t come easy. The Colts started the game pretty well and had the ball first and managed a touchdown 89 yards down during the game opening. Fans were optimistic that the Colts would muscle out the Patriots. However, for the next couple quarters it was nobody’s game as the two teams traded the lead back and forth.

At the end of first half Colts were leading 21-20 but unfortunately for them and fortunately for the Patriots, this lead did not last to the end of the game. The Patriots took over the game during the second half and went on to win the game when the Colts failed to turn the game during the third quarter. Even the Colts were beaten by the Patriots by just 7 points, their game was just not impressive at all and they seemed to be making some bad calls which finally saw the Patriots gain revenge over them. Sorry to the Colts fans, Sunday just wasn’t your night.

NFL Season 2015, Week 5: Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans on Thursday, October 08, 8:25 PM, NRG Stadium

Andre Johnson and Matt Hasselback were the men of the moment for the Colts. Johnson captured two critical touchdown passes from Matt Hasselback to help win the match at the scoreline of 27-20. Hasselback on his Part was filling in for Andrew Luck who was down with a Shoulder Injury. Both aged Men performed incredibly beyond expectations and Hasselback was more impressive considering the fact that he was hospitalized the week the Match was played. With this Victory, the Colts extended their AFC South winning streak to a NFL record Sixteen games. The longest ever since the 1972-73 Season. In the 1st Quarter, the Colt went ahead as far as 10-0 against the bewildered Texans.

However the Texans managed to get back in the game in the 2nd Quarter scoring 10 unanswered points. In the 3rd Quarter, Frank Gore scored a run on the Indianapolis Colts giving them a 10 point advantage over the Houston Texans. However, the Texans did not allow the 3rd Quarter to pass before making a robust response bringing the scoreline to 20-17.

Andrew Jonson struck in the fourth quarter to make the tally 27-17. The Texans were able to mobilize and respond with a Novak Field Goal bringing the final scoreline to 27-20 for the day.

NFL Season 2015, Week 4: Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 04, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Despite the injury of their main quarterback Andrew Luck the Indianapolis Colts managed to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 16:13 after overtime led by 40-year-old vet Matt Hasselbeck. It could have been a different story though, as the Jaguars offense managed 431 yards, but could not take advantage of that as Jason Myers missed lots of field-goal attempts, including two game-winning chances right at the end.

The second one was especially important, since it gave the Colts a superb position for the overtime and they managed to snatch the win with an Adam Vinatiery chip shot winner. The overall quality of the game was pretty poor though, with both teams making a number of mistakes. Despite the win Matt Hasselbeck didn’t manage to lead his offense very well in the absence of Andrew Luck, while the Jaguars once again started brightly, but faded away in the second half and pretty much gifted the game to the hosts after failing to capitalize a string of chances.

This leaves the Jaguars with a 1:3 record and bottom of their division, while the Colts are now leading (2:2) after back-to-back. However, they don’t look the same team without quarterback Andrew Luck and will be hoping to get him fit for their next game against Houston Texans.

NFL Season 2015, Week 3: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans on Sunday, September 27, 1:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

The Colts get their first win of the season and win a close one against a divisional foe. It was not easy, they had to score three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win. This was also the first game this season they scored in the first quarter and the Colts scored in both quarters of the first half. They blew a 14-10 lead that they went into halftime with, giving up seventeen points that put them down 27-14. In the fourth quarter, the Colts’ defense shut down the Titans, only giving up six points.

Colts quarterback, Andrew Luck, threw a pair of touchdown passes in less than a minute in the fourth. He is now undefeated against the Titans in seven career starts and the Titans have won only one game out of the last fourteen match ups against the Colts.

The Titans had an opportunity to tie the game late with a two-point conversion, but not even a pass interference call that moved the ball to the one yard line could help them tie the game.

For the Colts, this win helps them avoid starting the season 0-3, and it helps save their season, for now.

NFL Season 2015, Week 2: Indianapolis Colts vs New York Jets on Monday, September 21, 8:30 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

Andrew Luck threw one touchdown, 3 interceptions and lost a fumble. Two of his interceptions and the fumble were caught and recovered by Darrelle Revis. He was 21 of 37 with 250 passing yards. He has now thrown five interceptions in two games. The Colts as a team turned the ball over a total of 5 times.

An offense that supposedly one of the league’s best, was held to 107 yards of total offense, and shut out in the first half for the second straight game, the first time this has happened since 1997. Frank Gore also botched what would have been a touchdown drive by fumbling the ball at the Jets’ five yard line toward the end of what was a 79 yard drive.

Early in the fourth, it was a close game at 10-7, the Colts’ defense being their only saving grace up to then. Until then, they only allowed a touchdown after a short drive due to a Luck interception. Vontae Davis left the game with an injury, and the Colts couldn’t hold the Jets any longer, giving up another touchdown.

Last season, the Colts started 0-2, just like this one; they were able to win 5 right after that before losing to the Patriots in the AFC championship game. We’ll see if Andrew Luck can turn the ship around and get them one round further, just like he’s done in each of his last 3 seasons.

NFL Season 2015, Week 1: Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills on Sunday, September 13, 1:00 PM, Ralph Wilson Stadium

Rex Ryan, Bills’s new coach proved his worth on Sunday with Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills. Bobbie Dixon and Karlos Williams rushed for touchdowns with the Buffalo’s defense dominating in a 27-14 victory. This can be described as the type of approach Ryan had envisioned upon stepping into Doug Marrone’s shoes as coach in January.

Tyrod Taylor was made starting quarterback two weeks ago, a decision that really paid off. He went 14 of 19 for 195 yards. In addition to this, Taylor also managed a 1-yard touchdown pass to his college Percy Harvin. His dual-threat mobility was seen when he ran 41 yards on 9 carries. He outplayed Luck

Luck managed to finish 26 of 49 for 243 yards together with 2 touchdowns. Both of these scores by Dwayne Allen’s (a 6-yard score) and Donte Moncrief’s (a 2-yard catch) occurred in the second half, after Colts had fallen behind 24-0. Additionally, luck threw 2 interceptions. Rookie Ronald Darby and safety Aaron Williams grabbed the first and second interceptions respectively.

Colts on the other hand had to finish the game without T.Y. Hilton, their top receiver. Hilton had left in the third quarter for some tests to be carried out on his injured knee. He returned later to the sideline finishing with 7 catches for 8 yards.

How the NFL season 2014 went for the Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts made it into the 2014 season being the defending AFC South champions. This is after they managed to hit an 11-5 record in their previous season and falling in the divisional round of the playoffs against the New England Patriots.

The Colts were able to clinch their second consecutive division title with a 17-10 win against the Houston Texans later in week 15. They were also able to go 6-0 in their division for yet another year- the second year in a row. The performances that they have had during the season have been quite good. They Colts were able to proceed through with defeating both the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals.

The team has had its fair share of losses and wins having started out with a loss to the Broncos. Adam Vinatieri’s field goal after a 50-yard drive gave the Colts an early lead during their match against the Jacksonville Jaguars. A pass from Andrew Luck to Dwayne Allen saw the team extend a lead they have attained during the first quart into the second quarter as well. This match was the Colts’ first lead and undoubtedly the best performance that the team has shown in a long time.

NFL Season 2014, Conference Championships: Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots on Sunday, January 18, 6:40 PM, Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots beat Indianapolis Colts with an outstanding victory. The New England patriots’ coach, Bill Belichick has had more postseason wins than any other coach. The quarterback Tom Brady is headed to his sixth Superbowl against the Seattle Seahawks. Three touchdown passes were thrown by Brady, LeGarrete ran 148 yards about 30 times. By halftime, the Patriots were leading after having scored touchdowns on four straight possessions.

Jonas Gray was also a force to reckon with as he was able to overshadow seasoned players like Brady during the first half. Belichick used the tactic of overpowering the Colts with increased running power whereby they ran 244 yards in contrast to the Colts’ 19 yards on 17 carries. Colts’ coach Chuck Pagano was disappointed but he accepted the loss while admitting some of the mistakes his players had committed and what areas they would need to improve on in their series of games in future. The Patriots will have to up their game to greater heights if they want to beat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

NFL Season 2014, Divisional Playoffs: Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos on Sunday, January 11, 4:40 PM, Sports Authority Field at Mile High

The game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos ended with the Colts winning 24-13, and they now head to the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots. Andrew Luck had a major contribution to the win, throwing two touchdown passes while outplaying Peyton Manning in leading his team. Even though the Broncos had won eight straight games at home this season, the Colts still found a way to beat them despite being down 0-7 after the Broncos scored with their first possession. The Colts have a good offensive game, which gives them a better chance against their opponents. At half time, the Colts were up by 4 points, and they stretched their lead to 21-10 halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Denver Broncos have nine Pro Bowl veterans on their roster this season, but their offense did not click after they managed to score with their opening possession. Both teams would trade fourth quarter field goals to close out the scoring, and the Colts now advance to face the Patriots, who are slight favorites. After this playoff debacle, Peyton Manning’s future is now in doubt, and he’s not sure whether he will play next season. The Denver Broncos quarterback would not rule out retirement in post game interviews with reporters. It’s also unclear whether Coach John Fox will be back next season.

NFL Season 2014, Wildcard Weekend: Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, January 04, 1:05 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

It began as a very emotional day with a moment of silence for Stuart Scott when the Colts went to see the Bengals for some riveting action!

Marvin lewis alongside the Bengals appeared for their fourth straight post-season appearance – with Marvin Lewis still searching for his first post-season win as head coach. Also Colts player Andrew Luck was set out to look for two in a row at home – he won at his home debut play-offs in 2014.

So as gameplay went underway, it seemed that the Cults made a wise decision in using Dan Herron instead of Trent Richardson, with Herron firing it home in the 5th play to take the Colts in to a rapid lead of 7-0.Then to tie both teams Jeremy Hill forced his way through to level the scoreboard 7-7, with Colts coming through soon after with T. Y. Hilton bringing it to 10-7 Colts with a 38 yard field goal!

Andrew Luck, the real star of the game then finally showed his value in the second half, with the third quarter proving to be a show for the Colts to take it home. With the score being 13-7 Colts at half time, in the third quarter Luck threw a phenomenal ball through for another touchdown.

So the end score being 26-10 to the Colts, all eyes seemed to be on that more than lucky guy – Andrew Luck.

NFL Season 2014, Week 17: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans on Sunday, December 28, 1:00 PM, LP Field

The Colts were able to bounce back from their 11-5 season with a 27-10 win over the Titans. Luck threw for 160 yards in their win against the Titans. the Colts were able to achieve 4 sacks during regular game play. Luck need only 100 passing yards to beat Peyton Manning’s record and surpassed that with an 80 yard pass to Reggie Wayne. Completed passes to Fleener by Luck and Matt Hasselbeck were the other scores, along with a 1 yard TD by Jack Doyle. The victory sets up the Colts in the Wild card slot in the play offs.

The Titans started off the game poorly the first quarter was dominated by a 79 yard punt, the Titans at 2-14 have one of the worst records in the league and are entitled to the number two draft pick. In the only bright spots for the Titans QB Whitehurst was able to connect with Kendall Wright for a 6 yard TD pass. The Titans finished gameplay with a 3 yard boot by Succop. That was even a struggle for the Titans. They can only hope to redeem themselves next year.

NFL Season 2014, Week 16: Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, December 21, 4:25 PM, AT&T Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys played Sunday with playoff implications on the line. While the had less to play for as they’ve already locked up the AFC South, the Cowboys needed to win in order to take the NFC East title and it showed. The Cowboys came out on fire and never let up. Dallas quarterback Tony Romo had a huge day, throwing four touchdowns. DeMarco Murray added a rushing touchdown for the Cowboys in the 42 to 7 beat down of the Colts. Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck got off to a rough start as tight end Duane Allen dropped several passes which would have been first downs. A missed opportunity on a fake punt also gave Dallas great field position. Luck finished his day being sacked twice and throwing two interceptions before being replaced by Matt Hasselback.

Hakeem Nicks was the one bright spot for the Colts, catching nine balls for 72 yards. Highlights for the Cowboys include tight end Jason Witten had seven receptions for 90 yards and a nice 25 yard touchdown grab. Receiver Dez Bryant added five catches for 73 yards and a touchdown for Dallas. Tony Romo broke Troy Aikman’s career passing yards record, and is now number one on the Cowboys all time list. Murray needs 29 yards next week to beat Emmitt Smith’s season rushing record for Dallas.

NFL Season 2014, Week 15: Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans on Sunday, December 14, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Houston Texans went down 10-17 on the road to the Indianapolis Colts in a match that had playoff implications for both teams. The Texans remotest chances of making it to the playoffs seem to have gone up in smoke. As for the Colts, this only means that their playoff berth is beckoning with only two games left. The Texans began explosively, taking the first quarter 7-0. However, that was as far as they could get. They horribly lost the second quarter 14-0, drawing 0-0 and 3-3 in the third and fourth quarters respectively.

The victory was sweet for the Colts. It sealed their playoff berth, placing them top of their AFC South division. This was their fourth straight win and in their current form, it was always going to be difficult for the Texans to get anything out of the game. This was great for Reggie Wayne as it was his second franchise record. The victory was courtesy of two touchdown throws from Andrew Luck and an Adam Vinatieri’s field goal. The Colts’ defense then locked down the Texans offense, keeping them at bay for the victory.

NFL Season 2014, Week 14: Indianapolis Colts at Cleveland Browns on Sunday, December 07, 1:00 PM, FirstEnergy Stadium

The Colts rallied from 0-7 in the first quarter to defeat their hosts, the Browns 25-24 in a very closely contested match. The game was so tight that it took a last minute gasp 1-yard touchdown pass by Andrew Luck to T.Y Hilton to secure the important victory for the Colts. The Browns did their best to contain the Colts quarterback for much of the game. However, slight complacence and split lapse of concentration in the last minute gifted the Colts the precious win. The Browns got two defensive touchdowns, but were let down by a blunt offense that couldn’t reciprocate and seal the victory. Their offense, led by the struggling quarterback, Brian Hoyer, was the difference between them and the Colts.

The loss was very disappointing for the Ravens. With 7-6, their hopes for playoffs are now very distant. They have very remote chances of securing a wild card for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the victory ensures that the Colts are firmly in contention for the playoffs. However, they must continue playing hard and tough as they have done the entire season.

NFL Season 2014, Week 13: Indianapolis Colts vs Washington Redskins on Sunday, November 30, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

NFL action on Sunday featured the proverbially struggling Washington Redskins against the Indianapolis Colts. The matchup featured the passing talents of Andrew Luck versus 3rd stringer Colt McCoy who took over after the unimpressive Robert Griffin the 3rd was benched. The game took place in early action on Sunday. It gave fans an interesting performance.

Luck led his team past the Redskins at a 49-27 lead. Luck threw for 370 yards. Luck was really the story of the day who despite two Indiana turnovers on the first possessions Luck threw TD passes that amounted to 30, 3, 48 and 97 yards. McCoy had a slow start to the game but finished quickly. He threw for a total of 31 of 47 passes and reached a career high of 392 yards. Herron had a 49 yard run in the second quarter and McCoy found Tight End Logan Paulsen for 16 yard TD pass. Luck then passed to Coby Fleener who went 73 yards or the score. The game was finished with a pass to Moncrief of the Colts who went for 79 yards. Skins Reed had nine catches, and DeSean Jackson had 84 yards before leaving with a bruised leg. All in all the game was fast paced and exciting and left users wondering why Griffin has struggled and second place runner-up for the Heisman Luck has done so well,

NFL Season 2014, Week 12: Indianapolis Colts vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, November 23, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The game between the Indianapolis Colt against the Jacksonville Jaguars was a much different one as the Jaguars face a thorough blow of 23-3.The Jaguars’ loss was during their first two possessions when they lost ten points which were not easy to recover in the rest of the game. The Jaguars were not competent enough as quarterback Blake Bortlers only threw five passes in the first three quarters of the game.

Jaguar’s loss resulted in their removal from the contention. Colts’ T.Y. Hilton made a 73 yard touchdown; he told the reporters that it was in honor to her new born daughter. The Colts had won in another game four days ago and the coach was afraid that they would lose to the Jaguars due to the excitement. Colts was the third team to win on Thursday night and they beat the Jaguars at their home. The Colts crowned their victory when Butler made an 11 yard touchdown in the third quarter and that got them some more points in their victory against the Jaguars. The Colts became the third team to win on Thursday night this season, and just the fifth in the last two seasons, while the Jaguars have been beaten 153-44 this season at home.

NFL Season 2014, Week 11: Indianapolis Colts vs New England Patriots on Sunday, November 16, 8:30 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The New England Patriots clinched their fifth straight victory over the Indianapolis Colts when these two teams met, putting on a dominating performance in which Jonas Gray scored four touchdowns. Despite a powerful showing by the Patriots, the Colts had a few moments to shine, mostly due to impressive passing plays by quarterback Andrew Luck, who went 23 of 39 for 303 yards. With his eighth straight 300 yard game, Luck is quickly closing in on the NFL record of nine straight 300 yard games, held by Drew Brees.

Ultimately though, a strong performance from Andrew Luck wasn’t enough to contain the surging Jonas Gray, who scored twice in the first half to give the Patriots a 14-10 lead. The Patriots were even more dominant in the second half, when they picked up their momentum and ran with it, building on their lead with two more touchdowns from Jonas Gray and and a fifth from Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots charged Tom Brady over and over again, but weren’t able to phase the veteran quarterback, who had a solid, if unspectacular game, going 19 of 30 for 257 yards. When the game ended the Patriots were on top, 42-20, and are now sitting on a comfortable 8-2 record.

NFL Season 2014, Week 9: Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants on Monday, November 03, 8:30 PM, MetLife Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts played the New York Giants on Monday night. Under the bright lights of a national broadcast the Colts proved why they are a contender in the AFC. They took the lead in the game with seven minutes left in the first quarter and never looked back.
The Colts quarterback Andrew Luck threw for four touchdowns to four different receivers. He also threw for 354 yards and did not throw any interceptions.

The top receivers caught four passes, and a touchdown. The running game for the Colts was solid as the running backs combined for ninety-three yards and no touchdowns. The Giants quarterback Eli Manning matched Lucks out put by throwing for 359 yards and two touchdowns. He did not throw any interceptions. Although he was sacked three times. The Giants running game ran decently, as the team ran for eighty-nine yards and scored on touchdown. Even though the Giants lost on the score board, they did out gain the Colts in the passing game 349-345.

The Giants have to travel to Seattle and play the Seahawks, who always play well at home. Indianapolis is going on a bye and take a well needed rest.

NFL Season 2014, Week 8: Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, October 26, 4:25 PM, Heinz Field

Ben Roethlisberger’s historic night put the Steelers up early and they never looked back, satisfying themselves with a blowout win of AFC rival Indianapolis. While it is early in the season to say this was a ‘must win’ scenario for Pittsburgh, the Steelers certainly played like it was putting up a league high 51 points against Indianapolis’ 34. All six of Pittsburgh’s touchdowns came by arm of Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Wide Receiver Antonio Brown enjoyed a career night with ten catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Also playing well for the Steelers were Rookie WR Martavis Bryant who snagged two touchdowns of his own and second year running back Le’Veon Bell who have 148 total yards. Steelers fans are not likely to soon forget this win.

Chuck Pagano’s Colts struggled mightily on defense, failing to initiate a pass rush of any kind and recording no sacks. Former number one overall pick Andrew Luck was the bright spot again with another solid performance at Quarterback, though he was hindered by two interceptions to go with his three touchdowns. Both Wide Receivers T.Y. Hilton and Rookie Donte Moncrief pulled out big performances, each grabbing seven catches, over one hundred yards receiving, and a touchdown a piece. The running game will no doubt be hitting the film room to figure out what went wrong as Indianapolis looks ahead to the next week.

NFL Season 2014, Week 7: Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, October 19, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The Indianapolis Colts took full advantage of their homeland to maul the visiting Cincinnati Bengals 27-0. This victory over the Bengals cemented the Colts as one of the elite sides in the AFC. The Colts were simply steady and strong in every department. Their defense was very solid, giving the Bengals offense no chance to score. Marshaled by Greg Manusky, the defense turned in the best performance of the Chuck Pagano reign. The Inept Bengals defense was rendered clueless, lacking ideas on how to break down the Colts defense. Neither did Andrew Luck and His offense loosen the bolts. The victory was the Colts’ fifth in a row, only rivaled by the Dallas Cowboys. The Colts meet the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Stadium.

As for the Bengals, this was just not their day in office. It was the first scoreless game since 28th Dec 2008. In their next game, they host the Baltimore Ravens, a match in which they will be seeking to redeem themselves from the painful loss.

NFL Season 2014, Week 6: Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans on Thursday, October 09, 8:25 PM, Reliant Stadium

What started off as a rout ended up to be a surprisingly dramatic game as the Texans rallied from 24 points behind, only to lose 33-28. That score doesn’t do justice to the ridiculous first quarter enjoyed by the Colts and, most notably, T.Y. Hilton.

Hilton ended the evening with 223 yards on 9 catches. That, however, doesn’t begin to do justice to the first quarter numbers for the star receiver, as he flew past 100 yards in only one quarter of play. Hilton also tacked on a touchdown, making him the star for anyone playing fantasy football.

This win puts the Colts alone atop their division with a 4-2 record. Their defense is still a question mark, though, seeing as the Texans had little difficulty putting points on the board. That side of the ball will have to step up as the Colts look forward to the postseason.

For the Texans, J.J. Watt is still making huge plays on defense. He had 7 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 deflections, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. In the NFL, there are very few defensive play makers like J.J. Watt. Arian Foster contributed 109 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns, and Ryan Fitzpatrick was serviceable with 212 yards passing and a touchdown with no interceptions.

NFL Season 2014, Week 5: Indianapolis Colts vs Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, October 05, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

The 2014 NFL season saw some teams drop points while others gained. Among those which gained points were the Colts. They inflicted pain upon the visiting Ravens by walloping them 2013. They made good use of their home ground to reach 3-2 record, just like the Ravens. Had the Ravens won the match, they would have gone up 4-1, leaving the Colts at 2-3. The first and third quarters saw the Ravens emerge from the pitch with nothing. The Colts emerged victors in the first and third quarters 3-0 and 7-0. The teams drew 3-3 in the second quarter, before Ravens surging late in the game to take the last quarter, 10-7. However, this was not enough to enable them carry something from the game.

This was the Ravens first loss since their week one loss. On the flip side, it was the Colts third straight victory. This is good for the Colts because it gives them the inspiration to continue playing well as the season wears on. For the Ravens, it is back to the drawing board. All is not lost for them though, if their resurgence in the last quarter is anything to go by. The match was played at the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis Indiana.

NFL Season 2014, Week 4: Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans on Sunday, September 28, 1:00 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

As expected, judging from their previous performances, the Colts were the favorites to win this game. The game which was battled at between the two sides at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, was one that left many entertained with the kind of class and professionalism that was in display. The Colts continued to maintain the intensity even after meeting their historical rivals, the Titans. The Titans came into the gaming lucking confidence and as a result they received a 17-41 thrashing by the Colts.

The combination of Reggie Wayne and Andrew luck proved un beatable once again when the Colts swung into action. The quarter back and the receiver seemed like a pair made in ‘Heaven’, ith the kind of class and skills they portrayed during the match. Wayne had 7 receptions of 119 yards while luck had 29 passes completed. Thought the Titans had a bad game, especially the wide receivers, efforts of Charlie Whitehurst, Sunkey Bishop and Delaine Walker made the 17 points for the visiting team.

NFL Season 2014, Week 3: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 21, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The game of Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars started a new beginning for both teams especially for the Jacksonville Jaguars. We saw Blake Bortles, who is this year’s third pick in the NFL Draft, he had come in the second half . Chad Henne had an awful runoff and this had caused the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck a 30-0 deficit . However, there was not much that Blake could have done but we saw the team doing great after they had dominated a 44-17 win. It was Luck who turned out to be the magican and he had completed the 79% which was 31 of 39 passes his 370 yards and there were four touchdowns. At the end of the game, Luck had said that the secret is that they should be focused in the competitions with little or no interceptions.

We should know that Blake have had his exciting and depression moments on the pitch. He said that what his team needs is something extraordinary. They did not do well in the first half and that was what had affected them. Their head coach, Gus Bradley had revealed that next Sunday, Blake would be starting the quarterback when they play the San Diego Chargers.

NFL Season 2014, Week 1: Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncoson Sunday, September 7, 8:30 PM, Sports Authority Field at Mile High

Despite the 2nd year Quarterback Andrew Luck’s 370 yards, 2 TD performance, Peyton Manning and his Super Bowl runners up came out on top at home! This was, in no small part, thanks to the defensive unit (which includes the acquisition of Defensive End DeMarcus Ware from Dallas, who came away with 1.5 sacks, and 4th year Free Safety Rahim Moore, who picked off Luck twice). But perhaps the most impressive performance defensively were the Defensive Backs as a unit, who pressured the Wide Receivers and forced Luck to throw check down short passes to his Running Backs and Tight Ends (186 out of 370 yards to 23 check down targets).
But sometimes, precision wins over Luck.
Peyton Manning may have thrown for less yards in less attempts than Andrew Luck, but his accuracy and ability to read the defense made up for that. Manning threw for 269 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, and finished with a passer rating of 111.90. And while the Colts running game was very poor (only 54 total yards between RB Trent Richardson (6 CAR, 20 yards), QB Andrew Luck (5 CAR, 19 YDS, 1 TD), and RB Ahmad Bradshaw (3 CAR, 15 yards)), 2nd year Denver RB Montee Ball complimented Manning’s well coordinated air strike with a 67 YD, 1 TD ground assault that averaged 4.4 yards per carry.
This game informed us of two things: 1) Manning’s still got it and 2) the Colts may need a little more than just Luck to reach the post season.

Recap of Indianapolis Colts NFL season 2013

The 2013 NFL season was the 61st year that Indianapolis Colts had spent in the National Football League, as well as being their 30th year in Indianapolis, and their second season being trained by head coach Chuck Pagano. Pagano had missed the majority of the previous season (the 2012 NFL season) due to ill health. It was a successful year for the Colts, who managed to match their record of 11-5 from the previous season. The team also went undefeated during the 2013 NFL season, and wore a patch throughout the season to mark three decades since they first moved to the city of Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts wanted to advance much further than the Wild Card round than the previous year but eventually lost to the Ravens. They had progressed after a 28 point trail to win 45-44 against the Chiefs, before losing to the New England Patriots during the Divisional round. The Colts lost 43-22 during this game. For the second year in a row, the team held the final pick in the National Football League Draft – choosing number 254 which is also known as “Mr Irrelevant”. The final player selected was Chandler Harnish, whilst Jeff Saturday signed a contract in order to retire as member of the team.

In October of 2013, Peyton Manning’s made his return to the city after being released by the Colts. He was signed by the Denver Broncos, in which one commentator (Al Michaels) called the game the War of 1812, making a reference to Manning’s number of eighteen, and Andrew Lucks’ – the Colts quarterback – number of twelve. The Colts won this game, beating their rivals 39-33.

The 2013 season saw the Colts become the first team to win their division after they secured a play-off game at home. It was also the season where they earned their fifteen division title when the Denver Broncos beat the Tennessee Titans. The overall record of the team was 4-0, despite losing their match against Cincinnati Bengals in the fourteenth week of the season. The Colts were also the only team from the AFC South in the play-offs. During the season, the general manager of the team was Ryan Grigson and the team owner was Jim Irsay. The Colts played their home games at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

The team’s final roster included quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Andrew Luck, running backs Donald Brown, Trent Richardson, and Tashard Choice, wide receivers Deion Branch, Darrius Heyward-Bey, T. Y. Hilton, and Da’Rick Rogers, tight ends Jack Doyle, Coby Fleener, and Weslye Saunders, offensive linemen Anthony Castonzo, Khaled Holmes, and Mike McGlynn, and defensive linemen Josh Chapman and Aubrayo Franklin.
