NFL season 2017 Week 17: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions on Sunday, December 31, 1:00 PM, Ford Field

In a meaningless match, the Lions gave their all to defeat the Packers at 35-11, to mark the end of 2017 season. At 9-7, the Lions were able to end the season on a good note. Without a playoff berth, the 2017 season for the Detroit Lions almost look similar to the 2016. Since 1995, this marks the first period where the Detroit Lions celebrated a consecutive victory seasons. The future may not be clear for the Lions even with their current winning abilities. This is because people are beginning to say that Jim Caldwell the coach of the Lions may not stay for a longer period of time.

The health of Ziggy Ansah evolved in a quest for the remarkable result he delivered. Ziggy sacked Brett Hundley the quarterback of the Packers for almost three instances. While Ansah now remains a free agent, he was able to complete the season with eleven sacks. The offer of the Lions to Ziggy will remain one of the best deals of the off-season. With an amazing performance, Matthew Stafford a quarterback of the Lions completed the season having three hundred and twenty-three yards, throwing from twenty to twenty-nine and three touchdowns. Since 1991, the Packers suffered a great defeat from the Detroit Lions and complete the season at 7-9.

NFL season 2017 Week 16: Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, December 23, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

The Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers game was a relatively one sided affair that ended with a comfortable 16-0 victory for the Vikings. The game had only one touchdown scored by Stefon Diggs off a four-yard pass from Case Keenum. The Packers lined up with an injury hit squad, most importantly were missing star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Vikings took full advantage and moved on to 12-3 record for the season. They scored on their first possession of the night with a field goal, and after the touchdown led 10-0. The night was to get worse for the Packers. On the third and 3, the back up quarterback Hundley was intercepted and that was as good as it got for the Packers.

Brett Hundley ended the match with a grim 17 of 40 as well as two interceptions, as the Vikings barely had to move out of second gear throughout the match, which was played on a frozen patch which made movement hard.

The game ended with Diggs making 5 catches of 60 yards, and it was the second time the Packers were shut out this season. Moving forward the Packers look forward to the new season, while the Vikings can look forward to the playoffs with optimism.

NFL season 2017 Week 15: Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers on Sunday, December 17, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Packers and Panthers faced off in a game that would determine the future of both teams this season. The Panthers are vying for the NFC South title, and there are a lot of reasons to believe that this team will at least make the playoffs. They had to stay ahead of the Falcons with a win, and they were able to come out with a 31-24 win over the Packers. The Packers tried to play Aaron Rodgers, but he was not very effective.

The Panthers struggled early in the game to stop the Packers offense, and it was only in the end where they became efficient enough to keep them from scoring. The Panthers needed a late miracle to score and pull ahead of the Packers, and they remain in the playoff hunt because of it. Cam Newton was inconsistent all game, but he was able to come through in the end with help from his skill players. The Panthers will go to the playoffs, but they have to keep playing well to stay ahead of Atlanta. Pulling out this win recently makes them a dangerous team in the NFC, and they could cause problems for both Atlanta and New Orleans.

NFL season 2017 Week 14: Green Bay Packers at Cleveland Browns on Sunday, December 10, 1:00 PM, FirstEnergy Stadium

A very close game between the Green Bay Packers and the Cleveland Browns as it was all decided in overtime. This was the second overtime win for the Packers as the edged the Browns. The Cleveland Browns team slumped to another defeat and could only blame that on critical errors they made, like the decision of the final throw from quarterback Kizer. The Browns also had the opportunity to run out the clock in overtime but the ball was dropped on a third down pass by the rookie David Njoku. This Game can only come down to Green Bay making sure they capitalize on the Browns mistakes and some incredible BMT from quarterback Huntley. Player of the game by far was Adams for the Packers as he ran some incredible lines to bring the Packers on level terms with the Browns. He finished the afternoon with and incredible 10 receptions and 84 yards. The Green Bay Packers season rescued and the Browns left wanting and just piling on their misery this week after firing one of their top executives Sashi Brown.

Antonio Brown was on the side of the Steelers, but the proved to be difficult. Brown has been able to finish with two touchdowns and one hundred and sixty-nine yards and ten receptions.

Along the sideline on the premier snap, the largest grab occurred with a twenty-three-yard toe-tap of Brown’s last team. This enables the Steelers to move close to the Boswell’s range. In the initial stage, it appeared as if Brown was not on the pitch of play. Prior to ruling Brown, two officials conferred together for a space of fifteen seconds, which helped him to get both feet down. The Steelers moved closer with a conventional fourteen yard reception. To keep Pittsburgh tied with the Eagles atop the AFC, Boswell’s career-long blast moved inside the left corner. This kept Brown’s teammates looking for superlatives.

Mathew Stafford inspired the Detroit Lions to a 30-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers with one of his finest performances of the season so far. In a game that was pivotal to their season, the Packers came up shot and were punished by the Lions from the onset.

This game served as a test to the Packers on whether they can survive the loss of star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers who broke his right collarbone three weeks ago. Packers’ coach, Mike McCarthy, replaced the divisions best quarterback with his youngster Brett Hundley whom he expressed much confidence in. Hundley was however overwhelmed and was unable to fill the shoes of Rodgers finishing 26-of-38 for 245 yards.

The Packers showed promise on kick-off but their timid offense saw Mason Crosby’s field-goal attempt blocked and they were unable to find their footing again after that. They were unable to deal with Stafford who marched the ball up and down the field at will. He passed for 361 yards and 2 touchdowns to Marvin Jones. Golden Tate passed for an additional 113 yards on 7 catches to give the Lions a comfortable win in a game that highlighted the glaring weaknesses of Green Bay especially defensively.

McCarthy however defended Hundley saying that the problems of his team extend beyond him and that he was not to blame for the loss which makes them very unlikely to make the playoffs.

This is one of the primary reasons why the team is to a 1-3 start. The Bears lost their game against the Packers at 35-14 in the last gameday. One amazing move of Mike Glennon puts almost 3 of the Bear’s first 5 possesses. Later in the third quarter, Mike added another turnover. While the head coach John Fox has not yet identified Mike for the hook of Mitch Trubisky, he is still doing well.

The game was filled with a dirty hit by Danny Trevathan against Devante Adams of the Packers. The game also unleashed a plethora of injuries and looks too messy. Before the first play of the second quarter, the match was stopped. This is because of lighting warning leading to interruptions. Fans were immediately taken off their seat because of sheets of rain blew through the environment. After the match started, it is clear that the Bears are behind the Packers with 14-0. This is because Aaron has made around three hundred passing yards in the previous 5 matches. This historical moment for Rodgers remains a franchise report.

In 2011, Rodgers has been able to set a record of four. In the premier year, Aaron was able to have a victory as an MVP award winner. Against the Falcons, Aaron set a new record. This makes Aaron be the fastest NFL player that has been able to throw three hundred touchdowns since his entire career. The game is simply like a rematch of last year’s NFC championship competition. Ryan had a touchdown and threw for two hundred and fifty-two yards. Desmond Trufant ran to the final area off an attempted pass by Aaron Rodgers that eventually was not accepted. Devonta Freeman has a series of scoring attempts as well. At Georgia Dome in January, the Atlanta had an opportunity to enter the Super Bowl by winning with a 31-0 victory. This occurred in the 3rd quarter on the route to a 44-21 win over the Packers. The Falcons performed beyond expectation in the first normal season National Football League match at one million five hundred billion dollars Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Green Bay Packer’s defense stole the hype following a strong show case against the Seattle Seahawks. The Packers battled it out with Seattle to emerge winners in a 17-9 win. Aaron Rodgers was superb, throwing for 311 yards for a touchdown. Ty Montgomery recouped the Green Bay Packer’s backfield after a summer’s doubt of his capability. The Packers had seen earlier last season a Rodgers-led offense was successful with or without a lot of running game. Mike Daniels was a drive from the start; he found another force in the third quarter. Mike and Nick Perry hooked up to down Wilson 10 yards from the line; also they dropped Wilson on his two plays.

The third quarter saw the game hinge on a particular pattern, as the Packer’s defense knocked Wilson to bit deep into Seahawks territory, then claimed the ball back. Daniels pounded the ball loose after seeing Packers lineman Luke Joeckel, forcing to handle and setting up a dashing touchdown that had the Packers on the board. Wilson’s rush is a game changing player, but could not be compared to a strong Packers front. He ended the game with a 69.7 quarter back rating worst rating in his career. His spring practices suggested the potential of this player. In this game, he showed why the Eagles need to pay more attention to him. Unfortunately for the team, Barnett was the only one who stood out. Other players were totally discouraged. It was the perfect opportunity for the Packers to take the initiative and score multiple times. When the result was obviously on their side, they slowed down a little bit and saved some energy for the future games. The result of 26 to 9 for the Packers is a real proof of their superiority at this moment. We’ll see if the Eagles have left some strength to change the outcome in the next game.

NFL season 2016 Wild Card Weekend: Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants on Sunday, January 08, 4:40 PM, Lambeau Field

The offense of the Giants just let them down when they played against the Packers this entire season. The playmakers of the Giants did not cut it, which is especially true in the very first quarter of the past game. The Giants lost a lot of opportunities when playing just against Mr. Rodgers, and they should not have done this. These situations make them lose a lot of good things in the game. Roger ended with no interceptions and 4 touchdown passes in the game, which is truly awesome for him.

The Giants` offense just bit the Packers. The Packers` defense needed some help just along with way, and this happened a lot of times during the game. The Packers were superior to the Giants in terms of offense, and that’s another reason why they ended up winning over time. The Packers have been a good team just on the road this amazing season, and the Giants could not make a dent on the offense of this famous team. The natural consequence of the superiority of the Packers` offense against the Giants is that the former ended up winning the game. Soon afterwards another touchdown for the Lions is scored by Tate III coming up to the score 7:14 in Lions favor. Afterwards Crosby Mason kicks the ball in the field goal for the result of 10:14. The score of 17:14 is achieved by Adams with his touchdown, Packers are in the lead again. Using their overly practiced technique Packers score another touchdown by Allison making it 23:14. at this point it was only a matter of time when Packers were going to win but still the game was full of surprise.

NFL season 2016 Week 16: Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, December 24, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

The latest installment in the Packers-Vikings rivalry on 24th December at Green Bay, Wisconsin saw the Green Bay Packers crush the Minnesota Vikings 38-25. Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers performed excellently in this match, making up for his previous performance against the Vikings. The score at the end of the first quarter was 14-6 with the Packers leading. The Green Bay defense was strong and allowed them to maintain a lead throughout most of the game. They scored 28 to the Vikings 15 in the first half with Rodgers accounting for all four scores.

With a score margin so wide, it was hard for the Minnesota Vikings to close the gap in the second half. Even Sam Bradford’s three touchdowns, including a 71-yard one, couldn’t save them The game also saw a stellar return of Jordy Nelson. He returned to his former playing level and had the Vikings changing their game plan to strategize how to stop him. Rodgers and Nelson’s excellent teamwork in connecting passes made the Packers unstoppable. The Green Bay Packers’ victory was almost like revenge for their last game with the Minnesota Vikings where they lost a close match 14-17.

The NFL season is up in full swing and with each game becoming tougher for the players; Mother Nature had even more difficulties in mind. The last Sunday was a cold day, with arctic wind settling over the region and resulting in quite a low temperature. Packers and Bears have had a long history of Rivalry and last Sunday they went all in for one of the coldest games of the season. The Green Bay Packers came out on top with 30-27 over the Chicago Bears. The temperature was around 10 degrees with a biting cold wind that gave a wind chill of around minus 18 degrees.

The Game at halftime was drawn with 10-10 score and with temperatures and winds creating a tough time for players, the Green Bay Packers finally stole the show with total yards of the game at 406 for Packers with 1 turnovers and 39:36 possession. The Bears also led with around double the number of 1st downs. The game was thought as the fifth coldest games that the Bears have played in history. The game got underway Sunday afternoon; The Packers would receive the ball, Rodgers set the tone on the opening drive after connecting with receiver D. Adams on a greatly thrown pass down the right sideline for a touchdown at the 66-yard. The Corner-back J. Lane slipped on the play. A. Rodgers passed for 246- yards and 3 touchdowns and the Packers routed the Seahawks 38-10 win.

The first score of the game from the Seattle Seahawks came in the twenty eight yard field goal by Hauschka with a few minutes left in the 1st quarter.

Another field goal attempt by Packers’ M. Crosby did not go through. The Packers however, led 7-3 with about 2 minutes to end the first half.

Rodgers, who was already injured playing on the left hamstring, finished eighteen of twenty three and left in the 4th quarter with his team leading by twenty five. The Green Bay Packers team took advantage with touchdown drives after two other interceptions.

NFL season 2016 Week 13: Green Bay Packers vs Houston Texans on Sunday, December 04, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

After a game versus the Texas Houstons at home, the Green Bay Packers are back at .500. They finally triumph again, defeating the Texas Houstons for a 21-13 win. Aaron Rodgers, the true star of the game, threw for 209 yards and made two touchdowns.

This game was fairly unexciting. There wasn’t much action in the first quarter. The Packers then took the lead in the second quarter with their first touchdown, and they never fell behind. Perhaps the most enticing moment in the game was when the Houstons scored their first touchdown in the third quarter to tie the game. It didn’t take long, however, for the Packers to pull up in front, scoring their two final touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The Houstons managed to make one final touchdown, but still faced total demolition, losing by 8 points in the end.

The Green Bay Packers really needed this win to come back through, although it was honestly expected by many. The Texas Houstons have overall played a very poor game this season. The Packers have yet to beat a really competitive team, but they will need to do so if they want to maintain or improve upon .500.

NFL season 2016 Week 12: Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, November 28, 8:30 PM, Lincoln Financial Field

Monday night saw The Green Bay Packers end their winless streak and keep their playoff ambitions within reach. With an in-form Aaron Rodgers in their ranks and an improving defensive the Eagles couldn’t prevent defeat in front of their home fans. The packers found their grove early in the game with Rodgers creating two successive plays to give them the lead. Devante Adams was back to his beat, receiving an impressive 113 yards.

The Philadelphia Eagles responded well with Carson Wentz passing and astounding 235 yards and Caleb Sturgis converting two field goals of 48 and 50 yards. Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to stop Rodgers from engineering a vintage Packers victory. Some might even say that the 27-13 victory might be the first time the quarterback has played like his former self. The 32-year old completed 30 of his 39 passes and is poised to lead the Packers into these years’ play-offs.

The Eagles fans continue to believe in their youth system with rookies such as Carson Wentz making up much of their limited offensive line on Monday night. Hopefully they will continue to improve and maybe next season they can actually compete with ‘grown-up’ teams such as the Green Bay Packers.

NFL season 2016 Week 11: Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins on Sunday, November 20, 8:30 PM, FedEx Field

In a game disrupted by strong winds, Packers and the Redskins quarterbacks and receivers encountered difficult moments. De Sean Jackson hand his team a lead by completing a 17 yard score. The Packers offence was tremendous, but their quarterback couldn’t hold the Redskins aggressive attack which levelled the game just after a few minutes with Aaron Rodgers making a 75 yard score.

The visitors scored another 38 yard goal to make it 10-7, before Jordan Reed handed Kelley a 10 yard goal. The hosts extended their lead just after the start of second half when Dustin Hopkins made a 37 yard goal which was followed by a 44 yard touchdown to widen the gap to 22-10. Kelley converted an extra yard to extend Reskin’s lead to 11points. He also scored another three touchdowns that humiliated the Packers’ quarterback that night.

The attack displayed by both teams’ offence was incredible, but Green Bay’s quarterback wasn’t at its perfect form as many of its starting players were suspended by injuries. The fourth successive loss on the drive leaves Packers two games adrift of Detroit Lions, and one behind the Minnesota Vikings, who won their NFL night games.

NFL season 2016 Week 10: Green Bay Packers at Tennessee Titans on Sunday, November 13, 1:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

Green Bay Packers at Tennessee Titans will another awesome game too. This is the 12th meeting of this teams, which is pretty awesome. The Titans are just leading this series 6-5. The last time the teams met was in 2012, which was pretty bad for the famous Titans, as they just lost 55-7. The Packers will play the game limping, as the team has suffered a wealth of injuries recently, but the team has no straight losses either. The Packers have been in the middle of a three-game road swing, and this situation has not been easy for the team at all.

Mariota will be part of the Packers just in the midst of an important breakthrough stretch. Mariota, a second-year pro, has just completed 69% of his passes for a total of 583 yards including 2 interceptions and 5 touchdowns in the last 2 games. The Packers will be focusing their attention on stopping the run as soon as possible. The team could also be playing without some of the team`s key players. Mariota is just a complimentary, important piece in the rushing attack of the team. The team has been averaging 142.2 yards a game, which is truly good for any team out there. The team has been led by the halfback DeMarco Murray. Murray has just ranked second in the NFL with 807 important rushing yards.

NFL season 2016 Week 9: Green Bay Packers vs Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 06, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

The Packers were narrowly beaten 31-26 by Colts on Sunday. Frank Gore made two touchdowns in a thrilling match which. Andrew Luck recovered from two interventions in the first 15 minutes to complete with a fantastic pass as well as a perfect touchdown. Indianapolis who recorded worst NFL performance after conceding 31 touchdowns in the match, gave their defense right protection. Aaron Rogers’ classic comeback ignited the colts’ confidence after surviving a tough attempts from the opponents. Rogers made a three-yard descent pass to Cobb with 3 minutes remaining to get Green Bay 4-4, getting 14 extra point in four additional minutes. Rodgers finished with three 297 yards touchdowns as well as an interception. Indianapolis made their score after Luck’s throw, who evaded a probable sack by handing Clinton-Dix’s to hurl a 20-yard pass with three minutes left on the pitch.

Also Luck passed the ball to T.Y. Hilton with 2 minutes left to end the game, Hilton then made a 27 yard completion. Luck threw both captures to secure Clinton-Dix completing 23 of 36. However, the dubious Luck kept his moves away from other difficult field spots plus a 7-yard commotion on a bootleg in the last quarter. He cleverly made a 96-yard pass which completed with an 8-yard descent pass Moncrief with only 11 seconds remaining on the pitch to earn Colts a halftime lead of 21-10 in the game which ended 31-26 in favor of the home team.

NFL season 2016 Week 8: Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, October 30, 12:00 PM, Georgia Dome

It was a late dramatic event at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta as the Falcons rallied in a late Goal from Mohamed Sanu, after an 11-yard pass from Matt Ryan, giving them a 33-32 win over Green Bay Packers.

Sanu ended the game with a record nine catches, his best considering this is his first season with the falcons and he has proven to be their main pin man.

The Falcons were led by Matt Ryan whose techniques and great passes (especially with an athlete like Sanu) in the second half paid a lot, recording a total 28 of 35 for 288 yards and also 3 touchdowns to accompany his evening.

It all looked like Green Bay Packers were going to take the evening after a 32-26 lead with less than 4mins left on the clock. But Matt Ryan and the Falcons produced stunning brilliance of finishes in the concluding minutes to win the game, setting a good momentum for their upcoming match at Tampa Bay this Thursday.

Jeff Janis, Trevor Davies, Geronimo Allison were Bays players that had their first career touchdowns, though it was not enough to save the day. But they can look on to more possibilities as they face Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

NFL season 2016 Week 7: Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears on Thursday, October 20, 8:25 PM, Lambeau Field

The Chicago Bears lose against the Green Bay Packers (10 – 26), 326 yards thrown by Aaron Rogers and 3 touchdowns setting a record. Massive play by Davante Adams and Ty Montgomery in second half made Green Bay Packers beat to Chicago Bears easy on Friday, 21st October. Most of the night Packers (4-2) moves were short gain. Making Packers first match winning, without injuring Eddie lacy. Coach Mike McCarthy was full satisfied with their winning in home ground.

The Packers second half made their win when Adam caught the first of his two touchdowns with 13 -10 lead in 9:11 left time. Again Roger and Adam together made 4 – yard score on the start of last quarter with a lead of 10. This was the main pick up by Green Bay to make pressure on their offensively challenged NFC North Rivals.

The Bears (1-6) loses as Brian Hoyer went out with broken left – arm in the second quarter. Chicago moved to 3rd stringer Matt Barkley because Jay Cutler was already out with right thumb injury. Barkley 6 – 15 for 81 yard, two interception and NFC North Rivals offense in scoring got worse. Bears coach John Fox was really depressed but knows it is reality.

Kadeem Carey made 48 – yards on 10 carries with 24 – yarder too. Alshon Jeffersy who was receiver caught three catches for 33 – yard against Packers secondary, as its best three comebacks were out because of injury. It was really bad for Bears when their offensive plays (36) become less the completions of Rogers (37) in 5:31 of the fourth Quarter. End was with 37 completion of Rodgers with 2 – yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb, by making straight 16 points lead.

NFL season 2016 Week 6: Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, October 16, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

The Cowboys dominated a Packers filled with mistakes over a 30-16 win at Lambeau Field on Sunday. They had seven fumble, three which were caught, and four turnovers. It came down to field goals while a stronger Dallas had the luxury of banging down a few more touchdowns to seal their victory.

Rodgers was not at his best last Sunday, and the Cowboys overpowered him, who has never had an issue in taking out the Cowboys in his career. In postgame interviews he admitted to his subpar performance out at Lambeau Field, and when continuing his answer, it was somber and funny: “I’m going to go home, have some scotch, and look at the film.” Clearly he had enough of both – the Packers handily defeated their NFC North rivals the Chicago Bears 30-26 on Thursday.

Dak Prescott continues to bring the Cowboys into focus, He made great distinction during the first quarter. He made another pass with no interceptions, adding his first career attempts up to 163. That breaks the previous record of 162 held by a one Tom Brady. Sadly the streak ended when a Packers blitz puts the ball in the hands of Joe Thomas.

The Cowboys capitalized on a Packers team filled with errors. Their offense had five fumbles, lost three, and had four turnovers. Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliot proved he was not only special but potentially essential to Dallas, rushing 28 times for 157 yards.

NFL season 2016 Week 5: Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants on Sunday, October 09, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers improved their record to 3-1 last Sunday after defeating the New York Giants 23-16. That record is good enough for second place in the NFC North division behind the undefeated Minnesota Vikings. New York hoped to go into Lambeau Field and turn around their recent luck. The G-men had lost two in a row after a promising 2-0 start. New York now sits at the bottom of the NFC East with a record of 2-3. The impact of the Giants three losses is exacerbated because they were all close games. The Packers look like they are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Many experts picked the Giants to win on the road. thanks to the injuries in the Green Bay secondary. Eli Manning and the offense came to Wisconsin hoping to take advantage of the weakened Green Bay secondary to no avail. On top of that, the Packers offense finally got things going. Both running backs, Eddie Lacey and James Starks, had great rushing days. The improved rushing game gave Aaron Rodgers time to throw the ball and hit his targets. The Giants did have a good day on defense. The unit held the Packers to 3 field goals on long drives. New York’s offense couldn’t get it going for the third week in a row putting just 16 points on the board.

NFL season 2016 Week 3: Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions on Sunday, September 25, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

On Sunday, Detroit Lions lost to the opposing team, Green Bay and couldn’t stop the Packers offense. Green bay Packers Quarter back, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense struggled 2 Sundays ago in a loss to the Vikings. However, the unit ended the slump with a dominant first-half vs. the Detroit Lions. Rodgers tied a career-best with 4 first-half touchdown passes, which included two to Jordy Nelson, as Green Bay (2-1) held on for a 34-27 point victory over Detroit (1-2). For the very first time this season, Nelson played the most-snaps of any wide-receiver (49). He was-in on 96 percent of-the snaps in Week-2 and 84 percent in Week 1.

Both Detroit and Green Bay were hurting coming into the game, as they were missing notable players because of injury. The Detroit Lions were without Pro-Bowl defensive-end Ezekiel Ansah, whilst Green Bay Packers was missing safety Morgan Burnett, cornerback Sam Shields, linebacker Clay Matthews, defensive tackle Letroy Guion, and defensive end Datone Jones. Therefore, the Lions had a fighting chance. Sadly, the chance wasn’t adequate to beat the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers finished this game 15 for 24-passing for 205 yards with a 129.3 passer rating, his best-mark since Week-3 of last season. Nelson caught 6 passes for 101-yards, while Eddie Lacy rushed for 103-yards on 17 carries, which is his first 100 yard effort in his past 8 games. Green Bay defense yielded 417-yards to Detroit, including 368-passing yards, as the Lions cut a 28-point Green Bay-lead to 7 by late in the 4th quarter. However, the Packers ran out the clock with an 8-play drive.

Rushing for the Lions was ineffective. They had 21 carries for 41-yards. Rookie Dwayne Washington was the leading rusher, ending with 10 carries for 38-yards. Theo Riddick had only 10 carries for just 9-yards. The Packers are better offensively than they showed against the Vikings 2 games ago. Unlike the Detroit Lions, Green Bay was able to run the ball. Its run-defense continues to be the best in NFL league, but the team is somewhat susceptible against the pass. However, the return of Shields could aide with that.

The Packers had 24 carries for 123-yards total while the Lions only got 2 sacks the entire game, just for 4-yards total. Haloti Ngata had one and Kerry Hyder as well. Kerry Hyder the defensive end, keeps on impressing teams. The Packers have a Week-4 bye before they host the New York Giants on October 9, the second of 4 straight home games.

NFL season 2016 Week 2: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, September 18, 8:30 PM, U.S. Bank Stadium

In the first regular-season contest at brand new U.S. Bank-Stadium, Minnesota’s $1.1 billion football venue, Sam Bradford, the new Vikings quarterback, led his team to a 17-14 victory over the Packers. In a primetime clash between these two NFC North rivals, one of those rare times in the recent history that the Packers didn’t have the better quarterback Sunday. Bradford, acquired at the very-end of the preseason from the Eagles following Teddy Bridgewater knee-injury, threw for 286-yards and 2 touch-downs in his first-start for the Minnesota Vikings.

And who could have imagined that Bradford, in his-first-start for Minnesota, would outduel Aaron Rodgers? Rodgers threw one touch-down and one late interception, as the Vikings defeated Green Bay Packers. According to ESPN Stats & Information, Aaron Rodgers completed only 27.3 per-cent of his passes thrown over 10 yards downfield. Bradford’s favorite-target was Stefon Diggs, who had 9 catches for 18- yards and a touch-down. Bradford completed 22-of-31 passes and no turnovers.

However, putting it mildly, the Minnesota ground-game was troublesome. Penalties were their biggest issue all-night. Green Bay appeared to be in good position to tie or win this game late, however, in spite of the offensive struggles. They, however, did not get any further as Vikings corner-back Trae Waynes intercepted Rodgers’ 3rd-down pass intended-for Davante Adams.

Star running-back Adrian Peterson completed with only 19 yards on 12 carries. He left this game in the third-quarter due to a right-knee injury and did not return. With 3-seconds to play, Sam Bradford dropped back, heaving a pass out-of-bounds to end this game. Jordy Nelson, Green Bay’s receiver will-forever have the first-touchdown in the Minnesota’s new stadium, a 1 yard pass from Aaron Rodgers in the first-quarter, giving Packers a 7-0 lead. Green Bay hosts the Detroit Lions, who’re 1-1 following a loss to the Tennessee Titans in the last-minute on Sunday.

NFL season 2016 Week 1: Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 11, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The match between the Packers and the Jaguars was played on 11 of September this year at Jacksonville Florida. The previous records of the Green Bay Packers against Jacksonville Jaguars are good. The two teams have met each other 6 times. Green Bay Packers are leading with 4 wins while treh Jaguars have only 2 wins. The Packers and Jaguars gave us an entertaining game with Packers emerging victory. The Packers were the first to get on the scoreboard. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers played pretty well and offensively. At a time he took the ball 6 yards out by himself.

After first half it seems that the game would be a close one as the score was 7-7. In the second quarter the Jaguars were the ones to score first. Afterwards the Packers came back and Jordy Nelson helped them to regain the lead. Jacksonville came back to take the score 17-14. Packers fans were really sweating by the final stage of the game as Jacksonville was slowly making up to the winning score but the Packers made the stop and emerged victorious. Packers did not show much offensively, but worked on their defense. Packers finished off the game in huge defensive mode.

NFL season Preseason 2016 Week 4: Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, September 01, 8:00 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

The preseason finale that went down on Thursday September first was quite a spectacle. The Kansas City Chiefs took advantage of their home ground and won 17-7 against the visiting Green Bay Packers. Both Coaches Andy Reid and McCarthy played backups almost the entire game. Among the notable ones is the rookie Joe Callahan from Division III Wesley College who threw 143 yards and managed a touchdown. He played almost the whole game and was a crucial part in achieving the win. Callahan strives to become number 3 after Aaron Rodgers and Brett Hundley. Nile Davis of the Kansas City ran 15 times, 58 yards and managed a touchdown. Darrin Reaves also ran 63 yards and managed a touchdown for the team.

This game marked the debut of Green Bay’s punter Jacob Shum who replaced the veteran punter Tim Masthay. In the first quarter the Chief’s had their third three-and-out. Their wide receiver Ty Montgomery blocked Dustin Colquitt’s punt. Chief’s Eric Berry sat out in this game. Well, he had only practised for two days after signing the contract with the team. It is however expected that he will be ready for the regular season games and should give a good performance on the field. The SS who played for the chief was Eric Murray who had a pair of tackles.

NFL season Preseason 2016 Week 3: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers on Friday, August 26, 10:00 PM, Levis Stadium

The Green Bay Packers game was a highly anticipated one. There was a lot of speculation over the new quarterback who was making a debut for the first time in this match. The game however went well as the Quarterback; Jared Cook was able to develop the much needed chemistry. During the first series, the Packers seemed very fortunate. Quinton Patton was able to get past Sam Shields although he was overthrown by Gabbert. The 49ers were able to then score on their next possession. It was not a very good day for this first time defense team.

The 49ers Colin Kaepernick was tackled by Datone Jones who made a quick correct read on the false hand off. Datone is still on transition from the defense to being an outside linebacker. The players who were off the field during this match were Rodgers Limited and Bret Hundley. This made Joe Callahan to be the go to quarterback. He however was able to handle it very impressively as he threw good throws. Callahan at some point hit Geronimo Allison during a scramble which was not very impressive. Overall, the 49ers had only two drives which both resulted to a score. The Green Bay on the other hand had three drives all which ended up in touchdowns.

NFL season Preseason 2016 Week 2: Green Bay Packers vs Oakland Raiders on Thursday, August 18, 8:00 PM, Lambeau Field

This Thursday evening Green Bay Packers toppled Oakland raiders in a football match by the score of 20-12. Green Bay packers had a great game going as they racked up almost 150 yards on the ground against the Oakland raiders. Eddie Lacy was the lead and carried eight carries and the score. While three other Packers namely John Crockett, James Starks and Joe Callahan each had a 20 yards’ rush. The packers also had some brilliant moves from Damarious Randall and Josh Hawkins as each picked off passes.

Here’s how the game picked off, the Packers had a nice start on the offensive as the running backs went center stage early in the match. As the match progresses Eddie Lacy burst open a huge gap on the left side for 20 yards. The Packers also picked first downs on passes to Davante Adams and Jared Crook before Lacy made another sweeping move to give the Green Bay Packers a 7-0 lead.

In the second half of the match after a quick three and half out by Oakland, Callahan took the offensive downfield. He had to scramble a few times and had one remarkable play on which he had to rush a few times.

Another three and out by the Green Bay Packers was spurred on by some good passes and a drop on third down. Trevor Davis this time around made a mark. Crockett then got a chance to work. Finally the lead remained at 8 points at 20-12.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 1: Green Bay Packers vs Cleveland Browns on Friday, August 12, 8:00 PM, Lambeau Field

The encounter between these two yielded a unlikely result as Browns received a drubbing from the home team as the Packers secured a good victory. The hosts, being at the bottom of the league table last season had a few points to prove and played without the regulars such as Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson. Also, it seems they are on track to find their own reputation of being the most productive offense.

Though the game play was pretty ordinary but still the Packers managed to pull off a good disciplined show that help them romp home with a good margin. With the rookies stepping up and the regulars returning to the team, this could be the season that the Packers will bounce back from the shatters of the last season. The home team will definitely take a lot of heart with the result but have to shell out the deficiencies to make any real impact this season.

Green Bay Packersseason 2015 recap

The Detroit Lions had a slow start in 2015-2016 season. They started with five loses, then a very close win over the Chicago Bears. After a sixth lose on the season, it looked like the Lions were starting to make a come back. They won their next three games, giving them a 4-7 record mid season. After losing another two games, one to a division rival, and finished the season on three wins.

Their record ending the season was 7-9, another less than remarkable season for Lions. They did beat division rivals, the Chicago Bears, in both regular season games. Golden Tate seemed to be the best option for this Lions offense, with ninety targets for a total of eight hundred and thirteen yards and six touchdowns. Eric Ebron had five hundred and thirty seven yards and five touchdowns and Calvin Johnson had over a thousand yard and nine touchdowns.

Even though Matt Stafford had a season total of over four thousand yards and thirty two touchdowns it wasn’t enough to push the Lions into the playoffs. By only looking at the statistics you would think the Lions would have been a Super Bowl ready team but they missed the playoffs yet again, after years of only being a wild card contender.

NFL Divisional Playoffs: Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, January 16, 8:15 PM, University of Phoenix Stadium

During the second quarter, it was all about the Packers as they kicked two field goals by Mason Crosby, thus making the score 7-6 going into halftime.

In the third the Packers came out strong as Aaron Rodgers found Jeff Janis for the second touchdown of the game, putting Green Bay up 13-7. It wouldn’t be until near the end of the quarter when Arizona would score a field goal by Chandler Catanzaro. The score was 13-10, very close to be going into the fourth.

The fourth begins with a very even matched game as nobody had scored until the very end. Palmer found Floyd for his second touchdown of the game, making the score 17-13 Cardinals and shortly after that, the Cardinals line up for a field goal attempt and score making it 20-13, seemingly out of hand for the Packers down by a touchdown. Quickly, the Packers march down field and score a touchdown sending the game into overtime.

Within the first minute of overtime, Palmer finds Larry Fitzgerald in the end zone to seal the deal for the Cardinals with a final score of 26-20.

NFL Wild Card Weekend: Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins on Sunday, January 10, 4:40 PM, FedEx Field

Packers played with Redskins on Monday and emerged as the winners with a big margin of 35-18. Rodgers started the wild-card game against the Redskins by going 1 for 8. The Packers gained all their 11 yards heading into the next period, and they trailed by double digits.

As the third quarter was coming to an end, and the game became tougher, Aaron Rodgers fired a shot of 15-yard pass to wide receiver Randall Cobb located at the 50-yard line. As the quarter ended, Rodgers couldn’t hide his joy as a smile was evident in his face. Rodgers and his team mates used the 10-play, five-minute, 76-yard and 39-sencong tactic that dominated in the third quarter and the initial stages of the fourth quarter.

Rodgers, spurred by using his quick approach techniques played like a 2-time NFL most valuable player. He drew defensive penalties with quick and smart snaps, making the right adjustments at the scrimmage line and taking the game at hand a way the opponents couldn’t believe. Rodgers threw for a pair of TDs as both James Starts and Eddie Lacy ran for a score. Green Bay then came back to overcome the NFC the Redskins with a win of 35-18.

NFL Week 17: Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, January 03, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

The NFL decided to flex its schedule to fit the Vikings at Packers game in their Sunday Night Football time slot since this game would also decide the winner of the NFC North. It was set to be a close, hard-fought game that would glue fans to their seats and leave them wanting more. However, this is not what we were presented with.

Unfortunately, we saw the once mighty Packers struggle with their passing game yet again. They were forced to rely heavily on the run game but could not do so without committing penalties. The Packers seemed to be able to get no where while Minnesota was running circles around Green Bay. The Vikings went into halftime with a 6-3 lead and continued to press forward in the second half. By the end of the 3rd quarter the score was 20-3 and a Packers victory seemed distant.

This was coupled with the fact that the Packers had multiple turnovers, one of them being in the redzone. The Packers tried to find their way back into it and once again put the game on the line with their very last play. This time however, the Packers were not able to convert. The Vikings won the game 20-13 and were able to secure first place in the NFC North in years.

NFL Week 16: Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, December 27, 4:25 PM, University of Phoenix Stadium

With this win, the Cardinals have clinched a first round bye in the playoffs. As of now, they are second to the Panthers (who finally lost their first game of the season). Both teams have both clinched a playoff spot. Green Bay has yet to clinch their division, however, they do have a half game lead over Minnesota; whom they will play in the last game of the season.

Carson Palmer completed eighteen of his 27 pass attempts, throwing for 265 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Aaron Rodgers completed fifteen of his 28 pass attempts, throwing for 151 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also was sacked eight times, and fumbled the ball three times, two of them were recovered by Arizona and returned for touchdowns.

This game was scoreless at the end of the first quarter. All of the scoring in this game took place in the second and third quarters. The Cardinals led by seventeen unanswered points going into halftime and would score 21 in the third. It was in the third quarter that the Packers scored all eight of their points. This was by far the biggest margin that the Packers have lost by this season.

NFL Week 15: Green Bay Packers at Oakland Raiders on Sunday, December 20, 4:05 PM, O.co Coliseum

The next game we shall look at is Packers at Raiders, which ended with Green Bay defeating Oakland 30-20. Upon further review, this was not the most convincing of the Packers’ ten wins but there’s still the division title that’s still to play for and so they won’t mind. In addition, the fact that they won on the road will also fill them with confidence, and their overall offense against Oakland was 293 yards. The Packers are also bound for the playoffs, which is great news. Green Bay can now concentrate on two decisive matches against Minnesota and Arizona to finish their regular season.

The fact that Aaron Rodgers is still continuing to struggle for a fifth consecutive game should be of concern to the Packers. His contribution to the team was throwing 204 yards while contributing only one touchdown but it was just enough to defeat the Raiders. However, the Raiders are ranked 29th when it comes to defense but this is not the caliber of defense that awaits the Packers when they embark on their playoff adventure next month. The red zone is where the Packers were particularly ineffective, converting one out of five opportunities. If the Green Bay Packers have any ambitions of going far into the playoffs, they will have to improve and they have two regular season games in which to do so.

NFL Week 14: Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, December 13, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers avoid their third loss at home in a row with a win against Dallas. After the Packers stomped on Dallas in the first half, leading 14-0, this looked like it was going to be a blow out. But, in the third quarter, Dallas got a touchdown which cut the deficit down to only 7 points. This game all of a sudden looked a lot closer. It was 14-7 until 4:44 in the fourth quarter when the Packers scored again, and then two minutes later again to put the game away.

Overall, the Packers annihilated the Cowboys in time of possession, Yards, first downs, turnover game, and total plays called. With the combination of Aaron Rodgers’ arm, Eddie Lacy, and James Starks at running back, this team looked unstoppable. Through all of the struggles that Lacy has had on and off of the field, Lacy came through and reminded us why Lacy was a second round draft pick out of Alabama. The Packers proved to us that they are still the #1 team in the NFC North like they once were.

NFL Week 13: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions on Thursday, December 03, 8:25 PM, Ford Field

Despite a rather rocky start for the Green Bay Packers during their Week 13 game of the 2015 NFL season, they managed to pull off a very impressive comeback, beating the Detroit Lions with a final score of 27-23. For the first two quarters of the game, Detroit seemed to have a guaranteed win against Green Bay.

The Lions gained a 17-0 lead against Green Bay in the first quarter, making it appear that the game was theirs. However, a last-second Hail Mary by Aaron Rodgers to Richard Rodgers stunned Detroit and brought Green Bay an unexpected victory. After receiving the shotgun snap with no time on the clock, Aaron Rodgers managed to avoid a sack before rolling right and throwing a long 61-yard pass to Richard Rodgers who had all the while been drifting to the end zone.

Afterwards, Aaron Rodgers stated, “I knew I was going to have to buy some time to allow them to get into the end zone. I knew that once I got outside the right I was going to be able to set up and throw.” The Packers were given this play after Detroit Defensive End Devin Taylor grabbed Aaron Rodgers’ mask. After that call, the Packers knew that they had one more chance, and they used that chance in the best way possible.

NFL Week 12: Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears on Thursday, November 26, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

In the NFL game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers, Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler threw for over 200 yards and a score. Bears’ coach John Fox was quoted as saying “It was just really a good team effort defensively.” The freezing cold rain made for an intense game of football, and the scores were very close right up until the clock ran out. On fourth-and-goal from the 8 with 22 seconds left on the game’s clock, the Bears held off the Packers for a 17-13 victory. The Green Bay Packers had won six of its earlier seven games at Lambeau in the series, and had honored Brett Favre’s number at half time.

Despite this homage, the team lost, and Bears’ coach John Fox said that “Looking at guys in that locker room that had been here for a minute and maybe not had great success here — Jay included. It was fun to watch.” Cornerback Tracy Porter intercepted Aaron Rodgers’ pass with 3:19 left at the Bears’ 45 on the previous drive and Robbie Gould’s 21-yard field goal in the last quarter was the only scoring for either team in the second half of this Thanksgiving Thursday game played in the nasty rain and the cold.

NFL Week 11: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 22, 1:00 PM, TCF Bank Stadium

The Green Bay Packers walked away with a much well deserved win over the Minnesota Vikings by overcoming them 30 – 13. This win means that they are in the race for the title division after the win which came after a three game losing streak. The Packers pass rush was also evident in this game as they recorded a total of six sacks. Eddie Lacy as well as James Jones had a really comfortable game and their stellar performance was a surprise considering the stats that they had coming into this game. Facing the Chicago Bears next won’t be easy for the Packers but they can head into this with a little optimism.

The defense of the Packers did not look as convincing though and they need to head to head into the next game having made amends to this. Corey Linsey and Hyde suffered injuries and were unable to return to the field so this could prove to be a blow for them. This game was however great to watch and really packed a lot of energy for some plays and any fan that watched this was at least thrilled and especially the Packers fans who in recent weeks have been wondering when will they win again.

NFL Week 10: Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions on Sunday, November 15, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

For the first time in almost twenty-five years, the Lions have defeated the Packers at Lambeau Field. This was a much needed win for the Lions, not just because it snapped a losing streak that stretched all the way back to the first Bush’s administration in the White House, but because they are playing poorly this season, winning only two games and losing seven so far. Including this one. They are tied for the second worst record in the league right now. The two teams will meet again in early December, with the game being played in Detroit.

Matthew Stafford threw two touchdowns, one interception on 242 yards, after 24 completions in the win.

Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdowns and no interceptions on 333 yards and 35 completions.

Going into halftime, the game was tied with each team scoring three points. The second half saw both teams score double digit points, with the Lions outscoring the Packers by two, 15-13. The game was almost won by the Packers after getting the ball back at the end of regulation; the Packers kicker, missed a crucial field goal from 52 yards out. The Packers missed a two point conversion that would have tied the game up right before this missed field goal.

NFL Week 9: Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers on Sunday, November 08, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Packers were able to defeat the Panthers by dictating a 37-29 score. The game was tight and the scoring momentum of the Packers started from the beginning of the game. The Panthers had a nourished defense team and strong men.

The Panthers were also determined to win the match but unfortunately the Packers were stronger than them. The fans from both sides also made the derby between the two mighty teams interesting and also gave the players moral to play the game to their fullest.

The Packers’ strikers had more effort to play around with the Packers’ defense and score the thirty seven goals .The strikers from Panthers also played around with the Panthers’ players but they found it hard to pass the defenders during the last minutes of the game because they became exhausted faster than the strikers from Packers.

Both teams should continue with the same spirit because they are all strong and capable of scoring many yards in a single game. Perhaps, panthers should use a more suitable formation of positioning their players according to their abilities and weaknesses. Packers will continue celebrating the victory from their effort. Of course more great results are expected from the team.

NFL Week 8: Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 01, 8:30 PM, Sports Authority Field at Mile High

In the heated game between the Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers, it was not very easy to tell who would win the game because both teams seemed determined and prepared enough. However, the Broncos had a great offense that handed the Green Bay Packers their first loss of the season. As Manning made the throws for 340 yards, the Broncos positioned themselves, passing the ball, showing speed, agility and team work to move up from their 7-0 record hitting the Packers hard with a perch victory of 29- 10.

After showing a pretty strong defense at the beginning of the game and thus being undefeated for the first six games, the Broncos finally broke their offense completely taking the Packers by surprise. However as the offense grew stronger the defense grew weak and thus limiting Rodgers to 77 yards in passing the 14- of- 22 passings. This may have wreaked their game a litle bit but the improvised and making it work for them making them win the game anyway. The Broncos improved to 7-0 thus beginning the season for the second time in their history in the game.

NFL Week 6: Green Bay Packers vs San Diego Chargers on Sunday, October 18, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

The Packers defense stopped Philip Rivers when it counted. Late in the game on Sunday, with just 15 seconds left, the Chargers had the ball at the 3 on fourth and goal. The made the stop when they were up by just a single touchdown.

Philip Rivers threw for 503 yards on 43 completions and 65 attempts, all three are team records. He also threw two touchdowns and no interceptions in the loss to the undefeated Packers. Fourteen completions went to receiver Keenan Allen. The Chargers had the ball for 38 minutes and racked up 548 total yards of offense, but could only manage just two touchdowns in the game.

Aaron Rodgers completed 16 passes on 29 attempts, for 255 yards, and threw two touchdowns. He also ran for 14 yards on two carries.

The Packers led at the end of the first quarter 14-3. The Chargers would mount a comeback, but would ultimately fall a touchdown short. They even tied the game up early in the third quarter 17-17. The Chargers could only match Green Bay’s 10 second half points.

The Packers may not have put together a great defensive game, but they still move to 6-0, while the Chargers who moved the ball a lot more offensively, move to 2-4.

NFL Week 5: Green Bay Packers vs St. Louis Rams on Sunday, October 11, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers stretched their winning streak with a 24-10 win over the St. Louis Rams. They have made a perfect start and are 5-0. The defense was the main reason for their win as they forced the Rams into four turnovers and made up for the offensive woes. It was a scratchy victory with Aaron Rodgers throwing an interception at home which was his first in three years. He managed to throw another pick and fumbled the ball as well. But he redeemed himself with two touchdowns and the stellar defense ensured that those were enough.

The Rams defense also worked hard with the two interceptions from Rodgers but were let down by the offense. Nick Foles was kept under pressure by the Packers defense and ended up throwing four interceptions which was the most he had ever thrown in a game. The Rams came into the game having won against the previously unbeaten Arizona team but could not replicate that win here. The Packers will be heartened at the way their defense is playing this season having previously been known as an offensive team. In times when their offense fails, they can now rely on their defense to prop them up.

NFL Week 4: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, October 04, 4:25 PM, Levis Stadium

The Green Bay Packers continues their winning spree by putting a decisive loss on San Francisco 49ers with a huge margin of 17-3 at Levi’s Stadium on 5th October. Judging from their previous wins of the season, it came as unsurprising. On top of the cake, this win marks their fourth decisive victory over the 49ers.

Looking aggressive and revengeful, the Packers defense and Clay Matthew gave their fullest to contain the 49ers’ quarterback Collin Kaepernick who had trolled them in the same way in previous matches. The run down was powerful and delightful. With their powerful run defense line, the Packers proved again that if they concentrate on this front, there can be no other winners. As seen in their recent matches, the run defense line in this one was also strong enough to penetrate and then disrupt the opponent’s formation.

As long as Packers have Aaron Rodgers, there can expect to be on the safe and winning side. The besty quarterback makes everything easy for Packers.

The Packers defense line seems to be focused on playing with raw emotions than cool practicality and if they continued their winning streak in the same manner, they will soon become a team to be feared not in just NFC but the whole league.

NFL Week 3: Green Bay Packers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, September 28, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

Five touchdown passes by Aaron Rodgers was enough to lead the Green Bay Packers to a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Pack jumped out to a 2-touchdown lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The lead was 24-7 at the half on touchdown receptions by Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery and James Jones. The Chiefs could only manage 79 total yards in the first half.

After the halftime intermission, Cobb caught two more touchdown passes on two of the Packers first 4 drives. By falling behind early, Kansas City was forced to pass the ball but the 7 sacks they gave up only helped to serve themselves up for the rout that happened. Green Bay’s defense loosened in the fourth quarter with the large lead and the Chiefs managed to move the ball on offense and make the score more respectable than they deserved.

The Packers dominated this game and the Chiefs could do nothing about Aaron Rodger’s precision passing attack. Alex Smith’s passing numbers looked respectable but it was due to the long touchdown drives in the fourth quarter after the outcome was no longer in doubt. In the 2005 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers needed a quarterback and decided to pick Smith over Rodgers with the third pick. Rodgers slipped to the Packers with the 24th pick. The disparity in the talent between the two was on wide display in this game. He who laughs last, laughs best, as the saying goes.

NFL Week 2: Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 20, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

Two games in, and the NFC champion, the Seattle Seahawks defense is proving that they miss Kam Chancellor. The defense gave up a bunch of big plays, both in their loss in the first game to St. Louis and here against the Packers. Not to mention a lot of points, in the two games they’ve played this season, they’ve already given up 61 points.

The Packers took advantage of this weakness in their defense, and exploited it. Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdowns and no interceptions, and had 249 on 25 completions after 33 attempts. With the Packers down 17-16, he also put together a 10 play scoring drive in the fourth to give the Packers a 7 point lead after a successful 2-point conversion play.

Russell Wilson threw two touchdowns and had 206 yards on 19 completions and had 78 rushing yards on 10 carries. Seattle’s offense hasn’t been able to make up for shortcomings on defense either. They’ve only put up 48 points on the scoreboard. On offense, their last two drives of the game they turned the ball over, a costly interception from Russell Wilson and the Packers added a field goal to pad their lead, and a fumble recovery that would seal the win for Green Bay.

NFL Week 1: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 13, 1:00 PM, Soldier Field

During Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears, Aaron Rodgers completed three touchdowns and beat Chicago 31-23. This isn’t to say that the Bears didn’t give the Packers a good fight. The Bears, equipped with new coach John Fox. However, they lost control near the end of the quarter and never gained momentum back.

The Packers have now beat the Bears 10 out of 11 in their last games against each other of the seasons. The 2014 NFL MVP Rodgers highlight of the game was his 5-yard pass to Randall Cobb after a long 16-play drive. This would make the score 24-16 in beginning of the fourth quarter.

The Bears highlight down fall during the game was when Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler overthrew to Eddie Royal in the end zone at fourth down, a play made after they decided not to go for a field goal.

Green Bay Packers NFL season 2014 recap

The Green Bay Packers kicked off the 2014 NFL season with an exceptional performance against the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks. The team was unable to penetrate the defense of the Seahawks and they fell to 0-1.

Having been down 21-3 halfway through the second quarter against the New York Jets, the Packers started picking up speed. Jordy Nelson’s 80-yard TD during the third quarter saw the Packers get a lead that they would not let go of easily. It was during their match against the New York Jets that they got their first victory of the season.

During the subsequent weeks, the Green Bay Packers were up and down eventually finding themselves in the finals against the Seattle Seahawks again for the championship title. The Packers lost this match and the title as well. The performances from various players were simply exceptional despite the loss.

Aaron Rodgers put on quite a show when it came to the passing yards, setting a record 418 yards during a match against the New Orleans Saints. Randall Corb and Jordy Nelson did quite a great task with the receiving yards and touchdowns. Eddie Lacy rushed an impressive 125 yards during the match against the Minnesota Vikings.

NFL Conference Championships: Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, January 18, 3:05 PM, CenturyLink Field

The Green Bay Packers had a hard time playing against the Seahawks in Seattle where it appeared like the latter were clearly headed for the Super Bowl. The Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers 28-22 to clinch the victory after the Packers failed to cash in on five takeaways that were given to them. It could be due to the home-field advantage because since the stadium was constructed, the sound of the home crowd is automatically amplified which can turn out to be overwhelming for a visiting team.

Players like Drew Stanton, Colin Kaepernick, Shaun Hill, Ryan Lindley and Austin Davis seemed particularly not capable of handling the crowd noise of Seattle. Maybe if the Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers would have been more present, he would have coped but unfortunately he was a little handicapped due to an injured calf. The Packers will now have to decide if some players such as Randall Cob are worth being spent a lot of money on. The Seattle Seahawks are set to meet the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. It is set to be a very tough game as these two winning teams face each other in the field very soon.

NFL Divisional Playoffs: Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, January 11, 1:05 PM, Lambeau Field

The game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers ended with the Packers winning 26-21, moving them one step away from the Super Bowl. The Packers had to come from behind to win the game, and they had Aaron Rodgers to thank for providing two touchdown passes in the second half. The game turned on a controversial decision by the referee to overturn Dez Bryant’s catch, which Coach Mike McCarthy had challenged. The referee decided that Brant did not have full control of the ball when he touched down, making his catch incomplete. However, Bryant was not amused by the decision, claiming it was the weirdest decision he’s seen in his entire career.

With that being said, Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers deserved to win this game as they were absolutely terrific in the second half. Even with an injured calf, Aaron Rogers still showed up for the game, and the Packers were indebted for his overall contribution towards their win. The good thing is that the Dallas Cowboys have accepted the referee’s decision, claiming that there is no biasness when it comes to officiating NFL games. The Green Bay Packers now head to Seattle to battle the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game.

NFL Week 17: Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions on Sunday, December 28, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

In a heated NFC North battle, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 30 to 20. In doing so, Green Bay clinched the NFC North title and a first round bye in the playoffs. Packers running back Eddie Lacy had a big day rushing for 100 yards and helped control the clock. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes despite leaving the game with a left calf injury. Returning in the 3rd quarter, with the game tied at 14. Rodgers led the Packers with pure determination on a 60-yard drive which ended in a 13-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb. This all but secured the win for the Packers.

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford struggled all game, completing less than 50% off his passes. Lions running back Joique Bell also lost a key fumble late in the game as Detroit was driving to try and get back in it. A little bit of controversy took place in the game as often fined Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh stepped on the injured leg of Aaron Rodgers twice. The league has reviewed the tapes, and finding Suh guilty, the league has suspended him for Detroit’s first round game with Dallas.

NFL Week 16: Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, December 21, 1:00 PM, Raymond James Stadium

The Green Bay Packers came into the game against the Buccaneers needing a victory. If the Packers win they clinched a spot in the playoffs. Although the Packers defeated the Buccaneers, they struggled early in the game, but later pulled it together to get the victory and solidify their position in the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers threw fro 318 yards and one touchdown. The star quarterback completed thirty-one passes. Twenty of those pass completions went to Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson. Cobb caught eleven passes for 131 yards and no touchdowns. Nelson caught nine passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. Running back Eddie Lacy was another key to the Packers victory, as he ran for 99 yards. He also scored the other Packer touchdown.

The Packers defense took advantage of the struggling Tampa Bay team. The defense forced two turnovers and sacked the Tampa quarterback seven times. The Packer defense held the Buccaneers to 109 total yards and one field goal.

The Buccaneers struggled throughout the game, most notably their running game. The Buccaneers ran the ball fourteen times for sixteen yards. Doug Martin carried the ball the most. He only gained seventeen yards on ten attempts. Josh McCown played admirably, as he threw for 147 yards. The quarterback completed only twelve passes and he threw one interception. The Tampa Bay defense forced a fumble for the single Green Bay turnover.

Tampa Bay is facing New Orleans in the final game of the season for the Buccaneers. Green Bay is playing Detroit the winner win the NFC North and has a better playoff position.

NFL Week 15: Green Bay Packers at Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 14, 1:00 PM, Ralph Wilson Stadium

The Bills (8-6) pulled off an upset of the Green Bay Packers (10-4) in week 15 thanks to a Marcus Thigpen punt return TD, four Dan Carpenter field goals, and, oh yes, perhaps the best defense in the NFL this year.

The Bills didn’t put Rodgers on the ground much, and didn’t even hit him much, but they were almost there all day. Rodgers was clearly uncomfortable and has little time to make his second (let alone third) read, which was usually tightly covered by the Bills secondary, which to some extent overshadowed the defensive line, which has been doing much of the damage all season.

Last year’s 6th round pick of Washtingon, Baccarri Rambo, picked Rodgers off twice, which just goes to show you that good things happen when you leave Washington. Rodgers was the victim of a lot of drops by his recivers, with the Pack dropping nearly as many passes in this one game as they had all season.

However, the tendency is to give Rodgers a pass and blame the drops, but the reality is that he played a pretty bad game, thanks to unrelenting pressure and tight coverage. He ended up going 17 for 42 and 185 yards. But Packer fans should not get too worried. The last time Rodgers played a game this bad, he went on to rip off a streak of 30 TD to zero interceptions.

NFL Week 14: Green Bay Packers vs Atlanta Falcons on Monday, December 08, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

Green Bay Packers edged of the Atlanta Falcons 43-37 to keep intact their pole position on the NFC North Conference. The win means that the Packers have recorded 5 consecutive straight wins which adds their total tally to 10 wins and 3 losses. They are only tired with Arizona as the best NFC record of the season so far. Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy were the driving force behind the Packers victory. Lacy ran a touchdown and caught one of three Rodgers TD passes building a 24 point lead at halftime. The Falcons rallied an impressive fourth quarter victory which was not enough to beat the Packers. However, the Falcons are guaranteed playoffs.

Julio Jones rallied the Falcons an effort that saw him record a 259 yard receiving which marks his best effort in his career. He also had a 22 yard touchdown which added to the 20 points during the fourth quarter. He was however forced to leave the game due to a hip injury. A 2 yard touchdown from Matt Ryan helped the Falcons trim the Packers lead by 6 points with just 1.37 minutes left.

The Packers will be looking forward to continue their impressive run when they travel to face third placed Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday. On the other hand, the Falcons hope to get their groove back when host Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

NFL Week 13: Green Bay Packers vs New England Patriots on Sunday, November 30, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

In what many people were calling a preview of the Super Bowl, Aaron Rodgers bested Tom Brady, leading the Green Bay Packers (9-3, 1st in NFC North) past the New England Patriots (9-3, 1st in AFC East) by a score of 26 – 21. In the first meeting between the two great QBs, Rodgers threw for 368 yards and two touchdowns, while Brady managed 245 yards to go with two touchdowns of his own. The Packers took a 13-0 lead after the first quarter, but the Patriots managed to pull the game to 16-14 with just over a minute left in the first half with a 2 yard touchdown run by RB Brandon LaFell.

Rodgers responded by marching the Packers down the field and hitting Jordy Nelson for a 45 yard touchdown with 14 seconds left in the half, giving the Packers a 23-14 halftime lead. The Patriots were able to pull within two a minute into the 4th quarter after Brady hit LaFell for a 15 yard touchdown pass. After a Mason Crosby 28 yard field goal gave Green Bay a 26-21 lead with 8:41 left in the game, the Packers defense held firm the rest of the game, coming up with a big sack on Brady on third down with under three minutes to play. Green Bay could have had a bigger lead but had to settle for four field goals of under 35 yards. Green Bay faces the Atlanta Falcons next week, while New England faces the San Diego Chargers.

NFL Week 12: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 23, 1:00 PM, Mall of America Field

The Green Bay Packers faced the Minnesota Vikings at the TCF bank stadium, where they won over the Vikings with three points. The overall score was Green Bay Packers 24 and Minnesota Vikings 21 points. According to Vikings coach, Mike Zimmer, Matt Asiata was unable to play against the Bay Packers due to a condition that he suffered ten weeks ago and would require a clearance from a neurologist so as to play in the next game against the Panthers. Aaron Rodgers gave a nice throw of 209 yards and two touch downs which was pivotal in the winning of the Packers against the Vikings.

This led to Viking’s Matt Kalil confronting a fan after the game after their loss, while Phil Loadholt left the game with a torn pectoral muscle which will require him to undergo a surgery and have him miss the rest of the season’s games. Vikings loss might have been due to the many players that have suffered injuries this season. However, Vikings coach still believes that they can make without the injured players participating in the rest of the season. On the other side, the Packers played a good game and their coordination helped them win.

NFL Week 11: Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, November 16, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

Philadelphia went to Green Bay leading the NFC East. Green Bay had a solid grasp of second place in the NFC North. The game was going to be a match up of two potential playoff opponents, it turned into a blowout. The Packers scored early and often, alowing the Eagles to score two field goals in the first half. The Packers finished the game with fifty-three points.

The Packers top offensive players were the usual suspects. Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes without an interception. The quarterback completed twenty-two passes for 341 yards. Jordy Nelson caught four of Rodgers passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. The top receiver on the day was Randall Cobb who caught ten passes for 129 yards.

The Philadelphia Eagles top offensive player of the game was receiver Jordan Mathews. He caught five passes for 107 yards and one touchdown. The very dependable Jeremy Maclin caught nine passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. LeSean McCoy ran for eighty-eight yards and caught one pass for eighteen yards. Quarterback Mark Sanchez played admirable in the blowout. He threw for 346 yards, two touchdown, and two interceptions.

The Packers are playing division rival Minnesota in the twin cities. Philadelphia is playing at home against Tennessee, in a game that is very important for the Eagles playoffs hopes alive.

NFL Week 10: Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears on Sunday, November 09, 8:30 PM, Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers scored early and often in this inter divisional game. Aaron Rodgers first touchdown came with six minutes left in the first quarter, by the time he was replaced in the middle of the third quarter by back up Matt Flynn. Rodgers had thrown for 315 yards and six touchdowns. Rodgers main target on the day was Jordy Nelson, whom caught six passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns. The second leading receiver on the team Randall Cobb caught four passes for seventy-two yards and a touchdown.

The defense accounted for a score as Casey Hayward intercepted Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and ran it in for an eighty-two yards. The Packers also forced three turnovers, and sacked the Bears quarterback four times.

Cutler threw for 272 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. The quarterbacks top target was Brandon Marshall, as the receiver caught eight passes for 112 yards. Marshall caught Cutler’s only touchdown pass. The Bears top offensive threat Matt Forte rushed for fifty-four yards and no touchdowns, and caught three passes for twenty-seven yards.

The Bears defense did not sack either one of the Packers quarterbacks and caused one turnover.

The Bears are going to have a tough match up as they face the surging Minnesota Vikings. The Packers are playing the surprising Philadelphia Eagles.

NFL Week 8: Green Bay Packers at New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 26, 8:30 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The New Orleans Saints dropped the Green Bay Packers 44-23. Things looked good initially for the Packers when QB Aaron Rodgers connected with WR Randall Cobb deep on a 77 yard touchdown pass to begin the game. The decline came soon after when Rodgers tweaked his hamstring also in the first quarter and spent the rest of the game limping around the field. Rodgers could not catch a break after that as two of his passes were tipped for interceptions, one occurring in the red zone. The star QB did finish the game and even managed a rushing touchdown before it was all over. Running back Eddie Lacy and Wide Receiver Randall Cobb both enjoyed hundred yard nights.

Sean Peyton’s Saints were propelled by the remarkable play of their veteran signal caller, Drew Brees. Brees threw for three hundred yards on an 84% completion percentage, three of those passes ending up in the end zone. Contributing in his second week back from injury was Mark Ingram, who had an impressive 172 yards on the ground with a twenty yard touchdown run. Jimmy Graham also looked good coming back from a shoulder injury and pulled in a touchdown of twenty-two yards along the sideline. The Saints were reaffirmed of their first round draft pick Wide Receiver Brandin Cooks as he enjoyed a career night, including a fifty yard TD grab and a rushing touchdown that came on an end around. The win puts the Saints back on the map in the playoff hunt.

NFL Week 7: Green Bay Packers vs Carolina Panthers on Sunday, October 19, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

After coming off a career-high 17 carries last week, Carolina Panthers’ Quarterback Cam Newton could not find a rhythm or have an answer for the strong defense and sure tackling of the Green Bay Packers. Newton was held to only 7 rushing attempts for a total of 41 yards against the Packers. However, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had a strong answer for Newton and his Panthers by eliminating the threat of the Panthers’ running game from the opening possession.

In the opening drive, Rodgers connected with Jordy Nelson for a 59-yard touchdown pass to silence the threat of the Carolina defense as well as to get off to a strong start and effective lead. The Packers’ first four possessions would end up in the end zone, with a total of three separate players scoring touchdowns, with Jordy Nelson, Eddie Lacy and James Starks, all bringing the ball in for scores.

Rodgers tore up the Carolina secondary by completing 19 for 22 passes and had them on their heels the entire game. However, Carolina did manage to put together a few late game touchdowns to bring their points to 17, but Green Bay held the lead and captured the victory with a 38-17 win.

Aaron Rodgers finished the night completing 19 for 22 passes with 255 yards as opposed to Carolina’s Cam Newton with 17 for 31 passes for 205 yards. With a 5-2 record, the win places Green Bay second in their division behind the Detroit Lions. Carolina drops to a 3-3-1 record but maintains their lead in the NFC South with the New Orleans Saints behind them at 2-4.

NFL Week 5: Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, October 02, 8:25 PM, Lambeau Field

Many are in prophesying that this game gave a sign of things to come. Quite a soggy event this was. Interestingly enough the favor of NFL fans

seemed to have provided the magic, giving the Green Bay Packers this decisive victory against the Minnesota Vikings. Though Packers were guilty of rushing their defense, the game pretty much played in trenches compared to passing which was not seen a lot. Looking at how the Packers have been playing their last three away games, their approach was different with the Vikings tour. They capitalizeon the Vikings defense this saw the Packers’ offense credited with five touchdowns. However, many will argue that the due credit will be to their Packers’ defense whose ferocious pass rush paved way for this. The play exhibited by Mike Daniels and Julius Pepper will probably go well in proving the Packers can actually rely less on Clay Mathews.

Thursday’s game was indeed a turning point for the Packers, their approach for the last four games being filled with their lack of an attack. My bet will be on them if they keep their last play this will be their turning point.

NFL Week 4: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 28, 1:00 PM, Soldier Field

The Green Bay and Chicago match pretty much went the same way as the Patriots and Chiefs game. The final score was 38-17, with the Packers winning. This is a big win for the Green Bay Packers because last week they suffered a loss at the hands of Detroit, but this time around they managed to get 358 yards when they played the Bears.

Some of the highlights of the game included Jay Cutler being intercepted not once, but twice. Aaron Rodgers played extremely well throughout the game, and he threw 28 passes, with 22 being completed. Rogers had a lot of time and this was thanks to Jared Allen being forced to sit out of the game, due to an illness.

Randall Cobb, as well as Jordy Nelson both scored a touchdown after they caught passes from Rodgers. This occurred in the third quarter, even after a defender managed to get Rodgers.

It is also worth mentioning that Matt Forte played well, and during the game he managed to run on 23 carries for a total of 122 yards. Martellus Bennett played well for the Bears, catching nine passes and running for a total of 134 yards, which marks a new career high for him.

NFL Week 3: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions on Sunday, September 21, 1:00 PM, Ford Field

It was one of those special and suspenseful NFL games that was witnessed with Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions, we were stunned when Detroit got two points from an interception from Matthew Stafford. This smothering play from the defense front of the Lions got them a 19-7 win over the team, Green Bay Packers. After the game, ‘Ndamukong Suh said that he thinks that they had an opportunity to win and dominate their games. The team had honed their tactics well and had executed it to perfection.

We had seen the Lions and Suh who had made sure that Aaron Rodgers was pressured and also the injury that had plagued the Lions was not an issue. Don Carey had made a striking fumble just forty yards for a stunning touchdown but the Lions have held their opponent, the Green Bay to a 223 yards. Even Rodgers was unable to take advantage of the injuries displayed by Detroit. Unfortunately, he was seen sacked two times. Rodger admitted later that their opponent had a better defense. At the end, we saw that Green Bay could only win 15 out of its previous games with Detroit and even with Rodgers being a marks man in their game.

NFL Week 2: Green Bay Packers vs New York Jets on Sunday, September 14, 4:25 PM, Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers pulled off their first season win against the New York Jets at the opening home game in Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin on September 14th at 4:30pm. This home victory for the Packers didn’t come easily, with the Jets leading 21-3 until early on the second quarter. The Packers came back to claim a 24-31 victory over the Jets. Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Packers, threw three touchdown passes for his team. The excitement didn’t end there, as wide receiver Jordy Nelson hit a career high of 209 receiving yards in one game.

In the third quarter, New York Jets’ defensive lineman Muhammed Wilkerson was ejected from the game for trying his luck at a few punches on the Packers’ players after they managed a two-point conversion to gain a 24-21 lead over the Jets. He is said to have been caught on camera smiling and waving as he walked into the locker room after ejection. The Jets were thought to have tied the game with a touchdown pass later on in the fourth quarter, but it was recalled after officials stated the Jets had called a time-out just before the play started. This game gives both teams a record of 1-1 in the 2-14/2-15 season so far.

NFL Week 1: Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks NFL on Thursday, September 4, 8:30 PM, CenturyLink Field

Pharrell Williams made a kick off of the pregame events. Green Bay Packers made their way to Seattle on Thursday evening with hopes of eventually upsetting the recent champions. The game was also accompanied by favorable weather. Unified noise was utilized by the 12th man so as to create disruptions.

Aaron Rodgers who is a Green Bay quarterback is among the best quarterbacks in the game. He made an initial impact on the game by his offensive weapons which make strategy so much important and therefore execution is necessary.

Russell Wilson, a Seattle quarterback expressed his mature nature of decision making in the game. He had multiple scoring opportunities due to his ability to move in the pocket. Matchup problems were created by running back Marshawn Lynch due to consistent breaking of tackles.

Pride and hunger are rekindled by motivation. The game’s outcome can also be affected by play calling. Momentum is created by challenges thus giving players a chance to have the final say.

The teams also end up outplaying each other. Low scoring games are produced traditionally by matchups of prestige that feature teams balanced on both sides of the ball. The script was eventually changed by Seattle. This makes Green Bay continue struggling against NFC West. Playoff dreams get ruined by major injuries.

What happened last season for the Green Bay Packers?

When Donald Driver retired on January 30, 2013, another knell sounded for the Green Bay Packers team that had solidly beaten the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. Even though the stands of Lambeau Field resounded with the sound of “KUHN” each time the hardy fullback touched the ball, the pieces around quarterback Aaron Rodgers were showing wear and tear. The wide receiving trio of Jordy Nelson, Jarrett Boykin and James Jones was adequate much of the time, but the offense lacked the zing it had had with Driver on the field.

The preseason did not look good at all for the faithful at Lambeau. Shut out in the preseason opener by the Arizona Cardinals, the Packers looked as though even moving the ball would be a challenge. A win over the lowly Rams was followed by two more preseason losses, including a 30-8 drubbing at Kansas City in the dress rehearsal for the season. As a result, the season opener at Candlestick Park seemed sure to bring a whipping from Colin Kaepernick and the rest of the 49ers.

What happened in the opener was a shock to all concerned. While the Pack fell 34-28, the spirited effort gave notice that the Packers might actually have a pulse. In the Green Bay Packers live stream against Washington, you could see a 38-20 home win which showed that all was right with the world. While a loss to the talented Bengals, 34-30 on the road, brought a chill breeze, the closeness of the result was not a cause for alarm.

After the bye week, the Pack roared off four straight wins, over the Lions and Browns at home and over the Ravens and Vikings away. The dramatic 44-31 win over Minnesota appeared to put the Packers in the driver’s seat of the NFC North. However, all of the momentum from that streak evaporated quickly, as the Packers would lose four of their next five, and the game they didn’t lose was a home tie against Minnesota. The last loss of the streak was a 40-10 shellacking at Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. At 5-6-1, the Packers seemed headed out of the postseason.

Thanks to the shaky division and some shakier opponents, though, the Packers were able to work their way to a division title, beating the Falcons and Cowboys by a point each in consecutive weeks. A home loss to the Steelers was followed by a road win at Chicago that catapulted the Packers to the NFC North title. Because of the rules of the NFL postseason, the division title brought them a home wild card game, but the Packers fell once again to the 49ers, 23-20.

Given the fact that Aaron Rodgers only started nine games at quarterback, and the rest were started by Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien and Seneca Wallace, it is a miracle that this patchwork team made the playoffs at all. Going into 2014, the Packers have some retrenching to do on the offensive and defensive lines, and they need some more talent around Rodgers on the offense. On the whole, though, in their division, the Packers’ outlook remains bright and you should look for Green Bay Packers Streaming this season.
