NFL 2017 Wild Card Weekend: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints on Sunday, January 07, 4:40 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The New Orleans Saints, led by quarterback Drew Brees, won against Carolina Panthers led by their quarterback Cam Newton 31 – 26 in the last game. It’s the third in a row victory for the Saints in the same season against the Carolina Panthers and the team couldn’t just go home. The first half was full of frustration for the Panthers since they had the possession for long stretches but without any conversion of the drives into anything more than just field – goal tries. The Panthers held the ball for more than eight minutes and that was it, the end of the scoreless game.

Two plays later Brees hit Panthers Ted Ginn Jr. who got behind Bradberry for an 80 – yard touchdown. Panthers once again proved that the speed to beat opposing defenses has been their weakness. With the team controlling the possession for over eight minutes, it feels absurd to walk away with no points. Time can mean everything or nothing and it clearly meant nothing for Panthers this last game. Brees has proven that Saints have a lot of ways to be effective and while the ball was spread around for a bit by the opponent, they were making plans just when they had their chances.

NFL 2017 Week 17: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, December 31, 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons game saw the Falcons take the final spot for the playoffs with a convincing 22-10. The Falcons performance was an all testament that it does not matter how you start the season but how you end it. The game that carried playoffs implications had the Panthers Quarterback and Falcons Quarter Back Cam Newton and Matt Ryan in respective lead the matchup. The Falcons were able to wrap up the in the second half after falling for a 7-7 tie at halftime.

Throughout the game Can Newton’s offense seemed to struggle and in the end Matt Ryan’s 15 points was too much of a margin for the Panthers to overcome. With their win now Falcons have another shot at the Super Bowl having qualified for the wild card spot.Even with the Falcons being one the most underrated teams in recent weeks they managed to pull themselves together when it really mattered. Their defense dominated the Panthers containing the Quarterback Cam Newton and Matt Ryan’s 317 yards throw and touch down was of excellent production from the offense. The Falcons will visit the Rams in the first round of the playoffs where they hope to maintain their good form.

NFL 2017 Week 16: Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, December 24, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited the Carolina Panthers in yet another thrilling game of the season that ended with a closewin for the hosts. The Buccaneers started well with most wins in the firstquarter but that changed in the second quarter when the hosts made a 103 kickreturn. In the first quarter, Tampa Bay completed 11 plays with a pass and arun earning them 3 points leveling with the hosts who had also completed tworuns and a face mask penalty. The beginning of the second quarter also had bothteams having the same scores but towards the end that changed. Carolina sidegot a kick return putting them 6 points higher but Tampa Bay managed to reducethat gap to 12-9 through successful passes and penalties.

The last two quarters of this match becamemore intense, making it harder to predict the winner. The Buccaneers got aninterception as well as more successful passes that put them 4 points ahead ofthe hosts but being relentless, the Panthers did their best to reduce the gapto 16-15 by the end of that quarter. The beginning fourth quarter also had thevisitors taking the lead, but that changed when the Panthers completedconsecutive successful passes and a run that gave them the 22-19 win theyneeded.

NFL 2017 Week 15: Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers on Sunday, December 17, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Packers and Panthers faced off in a game that would determine the future of both teams this season. The Panthers are vying for the NFC South title, and there are a lot of reasons to believe that this team will at least make the playoffs. They had to stay ahead of the Falcons with a win, and they were able to come out with a 31-24 win over the Packers. The Packers tried to play Aaron Rodgers, but he was not very effective.

The Panthers struggled early in the game to stop the Packers offense, and it was only in the end where they became efficient enough to keep them from scoring. The Panthers needed a late miracle to score and pull ahead of the Packers, and they remain in the playoff hunt because of it. Cam Newton was inconsistent all game, but he was able to come through in the end with help from his skill players. The Panthers will go to the playoffs, but they have to keep playing well to stay ahead of Atlanta. Pulling out this win recently makes them a dangerous team in the NFC, and they could cause problems for both Atlanta and New Orleans.

NFL 2017 Week 14: Carolina Panthers vs Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 10, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Minnesota Vikings finally saw their 8- game win streak come to an end in Carolina. They had been very consistent and disciplined throughout the season, for the first time we witnessed turnovers and penalties since Week 4. In the past game at Washington, we also observed some similar scenes, but Vikings managed to overcome their mistakes.

Vikings tried hard to comeback, the fourth quarter witnessed Vikings struggling but Carolina Panthers defended well. Vikings are now heading to the Week 15 with 10-3.Jonathan Stewart made the longest carry of the season with his 60-yard touchdown and gave Carolina a 7-0 lead. Another notable player of the game is James Bradberry, he intercepted every move Vikings made, but what’s more mentionable is his passionate play in the end zone that kept the Vikings from taking lead.

Although, the event’s second-best team saw its decline in the last game, Vikings are still positive about the future. Vikings cornerback, while talking to media expressed his optimism. From his statement, it appeared that Vikings didn’t take it very seriously, the defeat didn’t matter for it wasn’t very crucial match. He sounded defensive and said, we are not going home. Well, we are hopeful that Vikings doesn’t go back to home.

NFL 2017 Week 13: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints on Sunday, December 03, 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

The Orleans Saints hosted the Carolina Panthers on Sunday during the week 3 of NFL Season. The battle of 8—3 teams with Orleans in a five-point favorite up to 1.5 from an open of 3.5. I would say that the Panthers had a perfect chance to assume the control in this game. Instead, they got decimated; the make many mistakes, and this gave Orleans the opportunity to beat them to a 31-21 Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Panthers never led the fell to 8-4 with Orleans moving to 9-3. Below is little analysis of players who had the most outstanding loss from the side of the Panthers. Michael Palardy, he inexplicably dropped the ball before he could punt it. He panicked after this. Julius Peppers, this star hardly makes a miss, however Peppers fired the ball carrier when he was apparently out of bounds, this gave Orleans a second chance. The most painful part was that this gave Orleans four points ahead of the Panthers.

Devin Funchess, this no 1-star player couldn’t just make it happen. He had a chance for 30 yards gain on a one on one ball, but this stripped out of his hands. Devin’s first catch didn’t come until after the last play of the third quarter of the game. Also, another came when he dropped the ball then picked up five yds. On 4th and 6th in the red zone via empty series. Even as he did score on 24- yard touchdown with3: 57 to go, he nearly made a unique play on the ensuing onsides kick. Other players like Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara also had their miss. The game was engaging though with sides striving to make a difference.

NFL 2017 Week 12: Carolina Panthers at New York Jets on Sunday, November 26, 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

With another 4th quarter collapse, the Jets’ hopes moved from slim to unlikely. Todd experienced 5 losses in the previous 6 matches. The exciting early season of the Jets has gone blink at the moment. With the defeats that the Jets experienced, they have been able to blow the lead in three matches remaining only fifteen minutes. With a clash with the Carolina Panthers, the Jets lost the match at a 35-27. The Jets came up to 20-18 with the 59 second goal from Chandler Catanzaro from a 19-yard into the 4th quarter against the Panthers. While the match continues, there were great signs that the Jets will also loss the game. Austin Seferian-Jenkins has a one-yard touchdown catch on second down. By video review, it appears that the call on the pitch was overruled by the officiating officials.

In the end zone, McCown eventually lost a wide-open to Matt Forte. This made the Jets to settle for the field goal after the occurrence. While momentum appears to mount on the side of the Jets, the Panthers went 3 and out of the game as disaster struck. A fumbled by McCown scooped Luke Kuechly. Wes Horton committed a sack during the process, enabling the ball to fall out of his hand. This rumbled thirty-four yards to the finished end zone for another touchdown.

NFL 2017 Week 10: Carolina Panthers vs Miami Dolphins on Monday, November 13, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Dolphins showed a poor play when they could not block Kawann short and the Panthers defensive line. The Panther’s running games and defensive back saw them run over nose diving the Dolphins with 45 points victory over Panthers 21. The Panthers outgained the Dolphins 548-313 and converted 11 of 14 third down and had 13 more first downs. They impressively controlled the ball for 35 and a half minutes. Running backs Jonathan Steward, Christian Mc Caffrey, and Cameron Artis-Payn put on a big show and each offered different dynamics to the offense.

The Miami Dolphins did not play a complementary football because every time the offense does something good, they defense sadly fails to back that with something good. The reverse is seen to be true. Later in the secondhalf, the Dolphins possessed the game well and showed they were in the game. The Panthers crashed in a big opportunity with a touch down after a leaping interception by Luke Kuechly along the left sideline.Miami Dolphinshave been very inconsistency in its entire life, and the same can be said about Cutler from Panthers despite showing some few bright spots in the recently played games.

NFL 2017 Week 9: Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, November 05, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

On the perception of Cam Newton, he thought the Panthers required an emotional touch. On Sunday, Newton provided the Panthers an amazing emotional lift. Cam ran for eighty-six yards and made a powerful score on a head-first touchdown. This helped the Panthers to get rid of the ten-point deficit to win the NFC South opponent the Falcons at 20-17. Cam continued to increase his effort and played to the crowd’s excitement. Cam knew that the Panthers have to maintain the win to meet up with the first position Saints in the National Football Champion South.

Cam was getting off his emotional period as his best friend was transferred to the Bills. The Panthers remembered to go back their ancient landmark with Benjamin gone. The Panthers racked up a season-high of two hundred and one yards on the ground. For the 4th consecutive week, Cam Newton has been able to lead Panther’s attack. Christian McCaffrey also added an all-time high of a touchdown and sixty-six yards rushing.

NFL 2017 Week 8: Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, October 29, 1:00 PM, Raymond James Stadium

Another remarkable face-off that happened in NFL is Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the battle between Carolina Panthers and Bay Buccaneers, the later lost to the Panthers by a final score of 17-3. Buc’s run game marked the important factor for Panther’s victory over Buccaneers. After the continuous losses, Panthers finally made their remarkable victory over Tampa Buccaneers. The two important assets of Panthers Luke Kuechly and Kurt Coleman were able to make an excellent gameplay, in spite of just recovering from injuries. Their return not only inspired their team members but also gave the message that if you really want to do it, you should do it, no matter what. And we all saw what the result was. The return of Kuechly and Kurt is considered to be the factor that boosted the team’s unity. Thanks to their spirit of gameplay!

NFL 2017 Week 7: Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears on Sunday, October 22, 1:00 PM, Soldier Field

The Bears defensive line with the likes of Leonard Floyd and Roy Robertson were able to be somewhat effective at making sure Cam Newton’s passes were hurried, tipped and re-directed. Akeem Hicks is the player that seems to be making the largest improvement when it comes to adding pressure to a quarterback. Cam Newton was able to find Kelvin Benjamin during the game, but not within the key situations where the team appeared to be ready to score points, instead the team ended up turning the ball over.

The Panthers were able to able improve the defensive back situation on their roster during the offseason. The wideouts were largely kept at bay for the Bears, but the receivers were able to do some good run blocking where the likes of Jordan Howard were able to find success in this game. Can that last? It will take some significant game management skills from young quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The Bears will continue to utilize tight end Zach Miller in future games this season in order to make sure their young quarterback is able to stay comfortable, it is always difficult to know whether Miller will stay healthy or not.

NFL 2017 Week 6: Carolina Panthers vs Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, October 12, 8:25 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The appearance of Jalen Mills’s interception of Cam Newton’s pass around the final minutes should have cleared any doubt about the beginning of the Philadelphia’s season. This leads to the victory of the Eagles over the Carolina Panther at 28-23. Did the skepticism vanish on the past two interceptions? Did the doubt disappear after any of Carson three touchdown passes? The truth is that the Philadelphia Eagles remain one of the best NFL teams and are 5-1. On a short week, the Eagles rode on the road to victory over the Panthers with a strengthened signature of success.

Playing weak opponents will no longer determine the success of the Philadelphia Eagles. The Carolina Panthers entered the match with 4-1. While 6 matches into the new season may be early to count, but should not be dismissed as too soon to rejoice. The Eagles have more opportunities to add into their winning records dues to the three consecutive upcoming home matches. With three touchdowns, Wentz completed sixteen of thirty for two hundred and twenty-two yards. With sixty-seven yards, Blount kept the scores to the highest level. With seventy-one receiving yards, Alshon Jeffery led receivers and Zach Ertz had 2 touchdowns. The game moved in the favor of the Eagles when the defense coerced 3 touchdowns to occur.

NFL 2017 Week 5: Carolina Panthers at Detroit Lions on Sunday, October 08, 1:00 PM, Ford Field

On the left corner to honor Rosie the Riveter, Cam Newton wore a white button and a black hat prior and after displaying he was concentrated on football. Through 3 quarters, the embattled quarterback threw three touchdowns, making the Panthers have a huge lead over the Lions for a 27-24 win victory. For making sexist comments, Newton came under a strong attack. Newton’s words against a female reporter have led to a brutal feedback from different people. Cam got criticized by the NFL and later apologizes after losing a huge endorsement deal.

Cam won twenty-six out of thirty-three for a high season of three hundred and thirty-five yards. From Carolina’s 24, Cam was able to convert a third and nine with a sharp seventeen-yard pass to Kelvin Benjamin. This occurred just two minutes for clinging to a 3 point lead against the opponent. In a nutshell, the Panthers played well and merited to have a win against their strong counterpart. The Lions did their best but it was not enough to stop the raveling Carolina Panthers. The lead from the 3rd quarter’s touchdowns created a huge problem for the Lions, making the Panthers win.

NFL 2017 Week 4: Carolina Panthers at New England Patriots on Sunday, October 01, 1:00 PM, Gillette Stadium

The Panthers got wild, victory over New England Patriots as Graham hit the 48-yard field goal as the time elapsed, and the Panthers took the victory home with a 33-30 win. Sadly, this was the second time the unbeatable Patriots lost at home this season. The first defeat was back in 2012 when Tom Brady succumbed to two starts within a season. Cam Newton managed to three touchdowns and was heading for another. Stewart ran 14 times for 68 yards to pass Williams and became the leading rusher for the franchise.

Furthermore, Newton completed 22 out of the total 29 for 316 metres, not forgetting an interception, leaving the defense for the Patriots that was giving up 31.7 points and 461 yards per game. Although the patriot’s performance was impeccable, they found it hard to contain Newton’s stable of targets

Carolina finished the game with 444 yards, making it the fourth game New England has given up more than 300 yards. Brady scored twice and managed only 32 for 307 yards. The Patriots are on a roll. They have won two games and are looking forward to winning another one when they face the Panthers in their next game this season.

This season seems to be unpredictable as there has been a turn of events as champions are losing and losers winning. However, there isn’t much to say yet since the season is still far from ending.

NFL 2017 Week 3: Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, September 24, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Carolina Panthers regressed heavily after a dominating defensive performance against the Buffalo Bills. However, the lethargic display by the Panthers defense was an even most disappointing outcome. The Panthers allowed to the Saints as many as 149 rushing years. The Saints were placing an emphasis on presnap motion in order to manipulate the gaps from the Panthers defense.

The Carolina Panthers were not able to win their first divisional game. They won two games without playing their best but New Orleans was a strong adversary that did not allow them wining three games straight. After two drives stalled, Carolina struggled. As New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees tossed three touchdown passes, the offense settled for three points twice.

On the road against Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints was able to rebound from their 0-2 start. The Carolina Panthers went through an offseason filled with questions. However, thanks to their top ranked defense, the Panthers were unbeaten. But now, against the Saints, they saw a regression on defense. However, for their run defense it wasn’t all bad. The edge players on the perimeter or the force were some positives aspects. After the motions, the Panthers communicated well. But the issues were caused by the combination of scheme problems, individual breakdowns, and gap fits. Hopefully defensive coordinator Steve Wilks will learn from this experience.

NFL 2017 Week 2: Carolina Panthers vs Buffalo Bills on Sunday, September 17, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The match Buffalo Bills played at Carolina Panthers was one of the most defensive. It wasn’t a high-scoring match like the one pitting Buffalo Bills against New York Jets at home, which ended 21-12 in favor of the hosts. At Carolina Panthers, the visitors failed to find a way past the highly defensive home side. In the end, the hosts emerged victorious by beating Buffalo Bills 9-3.

The first two matches of the new season have seen Buffalo Bills win one and lose the other. They have won a home match and lost an away match. Defensively, they have conceded 21 points, which is an average of 10.5 points per game. Offensively, they have scored 24 points, which is an average of 12 points per game. The front seven playing for Buffalo Bills had a superb game.

Buffalo Bills had enough chances to win the match. They just failed to make the most of those chances. Carolina Panthers were a much better opponent for Buffalo Bills compared to New York Jets. The match could have gone either way though. The match went Carolina Panthers’ way because they made their end zone impenetrable. Carolina Panthers also won because they took the chances that came their way.

NFL 2017 Week 1: Carolina Panthers at San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, September 10, 4:25 PM, Levis Stadium

The Carolina Panthers have successfully steamrolled over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, September 10. With a score of 23-3, the Panthers ran away with the game. This isn’t surprising considering Kyle Shanahan had just made his debut as the San Francisco 49ers head coach in this season opener with a completely new team. He was also up against the Super Bowl 50 finalists and the 2015 MVP quarterback, Cam Newton, so winning was never going to be an easy feat.

Newton, however, was not at the top of his game and seemed to be unfocused during the first half, which might have made it easier for the Panthers if not for the incredible offensive line. Newton got his groove back in the second half and carried the Panthers to a win. All-in-all, the Panthers seemed to be a much stronger unit than the 49ers, each player doing his part to secure a victory, while the 49ers never fully meshed as a team. However, this devastating loss is not the end for San Francisco or Shanahan. He can still learn to utilize his team to the best of their abilities in this week’s game against the Seahawks. He’ll need to focus on creating a strong offense against another great team’s defense.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 4: Carolina Panthers vs Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, August 31, 7:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Steelers have discovered every problem they encounter with one game prior to the regular season. While moving into their final preseason game, there are still nagging questions to answer. Most of the newbie players are anticipated to appear in the game. However, fans should not expect much from the big players. Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers are separated with just one regular season game. Players like Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger will not appear on the field of play.

Nevertheless, it is appearing that the Pittsburg Steelers may not be in the perfect shape to move into Week 1 against the Browns. Irrespective of how people think, the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to put an end a failure and embrace win on a Super Bowl roster. In the case of the Carolina, there are plenty to consider. People may not be expecting Le’Veon Bell’s return or Big Ben touchdowns. While heading into the regular preseason, which of the above players that appearing means a lot. The Steelers will have most of their newbie players on the field of play.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 3: Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, August 24, 7:30 PM, EverBank Field

The pressure is clearly on in Jacksonville. Blake Bortles, the quarterback the franchise drafted as their face of the organization, has his back against the wall and is in jeopardy of losing his starting position. Last Thursday, however, he proved that he was not ready to give up quite yet. In a solid showing, Bortles completed 12-16 passes for a total of 125 yards with a touchdown and interception. Looking to find his way back into good favor with the team, he made a good first step at showing he is capable of running his team.

As for the Panthers, Cam Newton made his preseason debut and instilled optimism in a demoralized fan base. After a disappointing year following their Super Bowl run, Ron Rivera and his team are ready to put together another winning campaign. Cameron Artis-Payne also came on strong today, rushing for 37 yards on 9 carries and two touchdowns. With an aging, yet effective, Jonathon Stewart and a young rookie sensation in Christian McCaffrey, Artis-Payne finds himself in a dogfight for a starting spot. It will be very interesting to follow that battle as it continues the first few weeks of this NFL season. The game ended with the final score of 24-23, as the Jaguars rallied from behind and scored, but opted to attempt the two-point conversion and failed.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 2: Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans on Saturday, August 19, 3:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

The game between the Tennessee Titans and Caroline Panthers has definitely brought excitement to fans like us, which the game from last week lacked. The Titans truly had a solid performance on this one, though their penalties can be made lesser still. They also struggled on answering Christian McCaffrey’s gameplay who contributed impressive two receptions. But overall, the Tennessee Titans’s offensive line has definitely improved perhaps contributing to their 34-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Out of the three fourth downs, they were able to perfect all three of them.

Derrick Henry’s impressive 2.3 yards per carry average is a good indication of a good offensive line’s play. Of course, Henry’s speed and power in itself contributed to the run-heavy offense. And again, Jayon Brown didn’t fail to show how competent of a linebacker he is. With everything that has happened, the Carolina Panthers coach is right when he said they gotta go back to physical football. The struggle was real and can be seen when they played without Cam Newton. Still, it’s worth noting how they get back after the Titans 17-0 lead in the first quarter, as they were able to tie up 27-27. Thanks to the rushing and catching talent of their rookies. It was but an enjoying game to watch all in all.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 1: Carolina Panthers vs Houston Texans on Wednesday, August 09, 7:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Coach Ron Rivera led the Carolina Panthers to a 27-17 win over the Houston Texans for the preseason opener at Bank of America Stadium Wednesday. Despite the conspicuous lack franchise quarterback Cam Newton due to rotator cuff surgery, as well as powerhouses like Julius Peppers, Charles Johnson or Ryan Kalil, coach Rivera saw what he needed to see from his second and third string players in clenching the win.

The standout of the game was Damiere Bird, the sophomore NFL player out of South Carolina, who had two touchdowns, one a 50-yard completion from backup quarterback Derek Anderson, and four total completions for a total of 98 yards. The game also saw receiver Kelvin Benjamin back in top form with two catches for 40 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter

The game saw the NFL debut of Desahaun Watson, the Texans as-for-now backup quarterback. Fresh from leading Clemson to win the national championship in January, Watson completed 15 of 25 passes for 179 yards, in addition to a 15 -yard touchdown run. The game was indeed a promising inauguration for the 12th overall draft pick.

The Panthers will take on the Tennessee titans in Nashville August 19th in Nashville, while the Texans gear up for a clash with the New England Patriots at home on August 20th.

Carolina Panthers NFL season 2016 recap

After a near-perfect 2015 regular season and a disappointing performance in the Super Bowl, the defending NFC champion Carolina Panthers have disappointed their head coach Ron Rivera after failing to reach the playoffs. Carolina Panthers won 6 games and lost 10 games of their 16 games in the season finishing last in the NFC South team. Consequently, the team did not qualify for the playoffs. The team made 318 first downs against 329 made by their opponents. Touchdowns were 40 in number and they made 3685 passing yards.

A disappointed Coach Ron Rivera is disappointed by the mediocre performance of Cam Newton this season and insists that he needs to change his playing style as the Carolina Panthers offense changes from next season onwards . Newton has accounted for 30 percent of the team’s rushing output last season.

When it comes to the players, Shaq Thompson has pulled a great performance compared to previous years. From chasing-down end arounds to shooting-the-gap and stopping-the-runner, from breaking-up-a-pass to a tight-end to intercepting-a-deep-ball, Shaq Thompson has posted exemplary performance in the field. Another player to watch is Devin Funchess who has grabbed the majority of the headlines this year. Overall, Carolina Panthers have to pull their socks in the coming season.

NFL 2016 Week 17: Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, January 01, 1:00 PM, Raymond James Stadium

Raymond James Stadium witnessed Buccaneers take on Panthers in the Sunday night match. Tampa Bay Buccaneers made their debut in the first quarter of the match when Roberto Aguayo made a fantastic 33 yard field goal. He was the most accurate kicker in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) history and third in NCAA history. The first quarter also witnessed Jonathan Stewart’s picking up the ball from Graham Gano’s kick and making a 2 yard run. Not many are aware that Stewart is a sprinter with a career-best time of 10.78 seconds in the 100 meters in 2005. He is ranked 86th on the NFL Top 100 players of 2016. At the end of first quarter Panthers were leading at 7.

In the third quarter of the game Brent Grimes of Buccaneers made 31 yard interception return from Aguyao’s kick. The 54 yard field goal made by Graham Gano in the third quarter was fantastic. The Tampa Bays’ picked up the pace and were in lead by 20 at the end of third quarter. In the fourth quarter Mike Evans from Buccaneers made a 10 yard after the ball was passed from Jamies Winston. Evans did put a good show in this match by tying his franchise record of 12 touchdown receptions in a single season. Nevertheless Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the match with a final score of 17.

Though Atlanta Falcons stumbled in the third round, they had a strong control over the entire game and finally gave a fathomable performance to their fans and followers by winning over their rival team in most of the quarters of the game!

NFL 2016 Week 15: Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins on Monday, December 19, 8:30 PM, FedEx Field

The Washington Redskins also took on the Carolina Panthers at the FedEx Field in Maryland. A disastrous 26-15 defeat for the Redskins meant that suddenly, they were in need of help if in order to return to the playoffs. With their fate no longer in their own hands, the Redskins now know they have to dig deep, find victory in their final game, and hope that both the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers slip up.

In particular, two turnovers and a running game termed atrocious’ by their coach were key to causing the Redskins (now 7-6-1) control of their playoffs. Which was of course a very important move for them.

Jonathan Stewart had an absolute field day, tearing through the Redskin defense with a stunning performance at sub-optimal health. And all in all, the Panther’s defense looked rock solid on the night, even if at the cost of some offensive action. On the other end, an inadequate defense put a lot of pressure on Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins. As someone with a reputation for turning up at key movements, the passer had risen to the occasion throughout the season. However, he experienced one of his worst games at the FedEx Field, going 32 of 47 for 315 yards.

NFL 2016 Week 14: Carolina Panthers vs San Diego Chargers on Sunday, December 11, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Panthers made a 28-16 triumph over the San Diego. This was a much needed outcome for them as they had suffered several consecutive losses in the previous games. Graham had the opportunity to kick start 4 field goals that enabled the Panthers to benefit from a good defense in the 1st half.

The Carolina Panthers won in spite of the inconsistent excursion from Newton, who finished ten of twenty seven passes for 160-yards. At this point Rivers finished a nineteen yard touchdown to D. Inman in the third quarter and 26-16 in the lead. The Chargers on the other hand had scored on a 3 consecutive possessions.

After a 3 and out play the Carolina gave the ball back to the Chargers, The Panthers linebacker Thompson went before a pass planned for Gates. It seemed the Panthers would go in to secure a score, but T. Reed ran before Newton to intercept Kelvin’s pass at the goal line. He drove the ball for a touchdown that was over-turned on replay and the Chargers were ninety seven yards away and down 10 in the first half.

New kid on the block corner-back D. Worley made an intercept on Rivers on the 1st play of the 2nd quarter. That prompted to an 8 play, fifty eight yard touchdown drive with Newton tossing 6 yards to Funchess, a receiver for the score.

NFL 2016 Week 13: Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, December 04, 8:30 PM, CenturyLink Field

Carolina Panthers were totally embarrassed by the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday by being hammered 40-7. This was a must win game for the panthers but they were totally outcompeted by the Seahawks. In fact, the Carolina Panthers have fallen very far behind with regard to the playoff.

The Panthers fell 23-7 at half time. This completely erased any signs of an unlikely comeback. Seahawks Tyler Lockett (wide receiver) outran the Carolina defense before making a 75-yard touchdown. That put the score line at 30-7.

With four games remaining to the end of the season Carolina Panthers find themselves trailing the Tampa Bay and Falcons by three games in NFC south. Technically, the Panthers are not out of the playoffs. It is hard to imagine how the Carolina Panthers lost this match bearing in mind that they beat Seattle Seahawks 31-24 in January. But that’s it, they lost terribly on Sunday.

Notably, Cam Newton did not start in the game for what is understood to be a violation of the Carolina Panthers dressing code. He is said to not have won a tie on their way to Seattle. Things are thick for Carolina at the moment.

NFL 2016 Week 12: Carolina Panthers at Oakland Raiders on Sunday, November 27, 4:25 PM, Oakland Coliseum

The Panthers were out-competed by the Raiders in the Sunday match. The game was played at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The Raiders won the match 35-32. The highly contested game was won by a field goal with only 1:45 minutes of play remaining. The defeat dwindled Panthers hope of a playoff. Panther’s next match is against the NFC West-leading Seattle, which will be on Sunday. They are three games behind Atlanta with five games remaining.

Raiders were the first to strike, with a 62-yard drive. However, the Panthers responded within 2 minutes of play by driving 75 yards. This was orchestrated by the 47-yard run from Jonathan Stewart together with two penalties.

Panthers got their first lead (35-24) when a two-point-conversion for Raiders failed. Early in the fourth quarter, Kelvin Benjamin gave the Panthers a 32-24 lead through a 44-yard attack. However, in the final minutes of the game, the Raiders out-competed the Panthers. Tight end Clive Walford made a strike, and then a two-point conversion drew the teams even. Finally, as the game came to an end, the Raiders got a 23-yard field goal which settled the highly contested match.

Actually, this was the fifth Raiders win in a row. They have clinched their first winning season after 14 years.

NFL 2016 Week 11: Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints on Thursday, November 17, 8:25 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The New Orleans Saints’ second-half rally missed the mark as the Carolina Panthers secured a 23-20 triumph Thursday night at Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers, entered the final quarter with a 23-3 lead before injuries started to incur significant damage.

The Panthers endured a series of injuries in the second half. At the point when Luke Kuechly was hauled away the field with a blackout, the tears spilling down his face as he cleared out, it showed up the Carolina Panthers may be prepared for another crumple. Their protective pioneer was gone and another huge final quarter lead was disintegrating. Players accumulated around him as he was put on a truck close midfield. Be that as it may, the Panthers (4-6) could run out the greater part of the clock on their ownership, making significant touch downs and augmenting on field goals. The Panthers punted yet the Saints neglected to get up to speed with the score in the rest of the part of the game.

Rather, the Panthers did sufficiently only to hang on and beat the New Orleans Saints 23-20 on Thursday night in a game damaged by injuries to key players. This is the third win for Carolina in four games.

NFL 2016 Week 10: Carolina Panthers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, November 13, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Kansas City Chiefs at Carolina Panthers will be much fun. Newton just rushed for the important 54 yards and a famous score, and scored another TD and passed for just 261 yards. He also worked hard to take the tea out of the important field goals range in the 3rd quarter. But he also had a truly bad interception in the fourth quarter that Berry turned into a TD right away. Stewart did not do much in the game, as he carried 39 yards 13 times, and just with a long of just 10. Whittaker took the place of Stewards at the end of this game.

Mr. Whittaker just caught a pass for 9 yards. The famous Panthers just finished with the important 99 yards. The defense of Kansas City just gave up two hundred to Jacksonville last week. Benjamin just pulled in 7 catches for a total of 84 yards. The Chiefs arranged to create a winning field goal in the final minute of the game, while Olsen just added 5 catches, though he had just 2 drops. Funches just also had a useful 38-yard TD catch.

NFL 2016 Week 9: Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, November 06, 4:05 PM, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Carolina Panthers narrowly edged out the Rams from Los Angeles in a less convincing 13-10 victory at the Coliseum. Panthers QB Cam Newton expressed his pride and happiness for getting the job done despite feeling it not pretty an outcome.

What is even astonishing is that Carolina, in its victory, only had one touchdown in the first quarter through Cam Newton’s 9-yard bolt down the seam to find Greg Olsen on a tight end. This was followed by an array of field goals which came from all directions- both made and missed.

The third period was rather sluggish and devoid of action before Rams’ line-backer, Thomas Davis picked out Case Keenum in the dying moments of third period. At third-and-2, defensive tackle Aaron Donald sacked Cam Newton, forcing Panthers to settle for a field goal from Graham Gano from 38 yards, extending their lead to 10 points.

Case Keenum drove in a 25-yard field goal for the Rams to take the score to 10-3, but Gano was hot on his kick and replied for Panthers with a 37-yard field goal. This restored their 10 point cushion but a calculative touchdown pass from Keenum to Kenny Britt completed a 75-yard play and Panther ran down the 34 seconds of play to protect maximum points.

NFL 2016 Week 8: Carolina Panthers vs Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, October 30, 3:25 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Arizona Cardinals returned to Carolina for their first time since last NFC Championship to face the Carolina Panthers in what was one in a lifetime match. The Cardinals did not know they came to face prepared Panthers in a match that ended in a 30-20 loss for the Cardinals. Panthers kicked on the game on a high note, putting pressure on the Cardinals. One of the highlights of the game was when Star Lotulelei pulled Carson Palmer to the ground early in the match an event that was ruled a fumble resulting in Thomas Davis returning it as a touchdown. At 3:12 the Panthers were already on a 7-0 lead.

The two teams fought to prove their dominance in what can be regarded as a tight game. Later on in the game Tony Jefferson of Arizona came down with this Newton deep ball to Oslen which took place at the Carolina 2-yard line. Initially it was ruled an interception but replays proved Jefferson stepped out of bonds and officials had to overturn their call. The Panthers then kicked a field goal to gain a 24-0lead. We can only wait to see more from these teams in future matches.

NFL 2016 Week 6: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 16, 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Right on 4th and 1 the Saints pull off an ambitious rush from the goal line for their first touchdown from a slick jet sweep from tight end Coby Fleener (he makes a 50-yard touchdown later in the game as well). Drew Brees then follows it with an 87-yard pass to Brandon Cooks setting it at 14-0 by halftime. They game gets contentious at the 3rd quarter with both sides making good throws. One contested throw into the endzone to Josh Hill is called incomplete at first but overruled into a touchdown.

Cam Newton finally throws his first TD to Devin Funchess near the end of the second quarter. With pressure coming harder on Carolina, they take riskier measures that pay off. First, a successful pass to Dixon on 4th down. Then to seal it, Newton makes an off-balance throw at 1st and goal that lands into the hands of Kenneth Dixon as the Saints line descends upon him. A pass interference penalty on the Saints help the Panthers get them up to the goal line for another touchdown. But when it came down to the line, all it took was one field goal to put the Saints over the edge and into victory and that’s all it takes to win the game.

NFL 2016 Week 5: Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, October 10, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

It doesn’t look like the Carolina Panthers will be making a return trip to the Super Bowl. Carolina dropped to 1-4 after a nail-biting loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday by the score of 17-14. The win helped bring Tampa Bay’s record to 2-3. Despite being led by back quarterback, Derek Anderson, the Panthers were still in the game up to the very end. Simple mistakes caused the loss for the reigning NFC champs.

Most of the Panther’s mistakes were on special teams. Graham Kano, the Panthers kicker, missed a field goal. Adding to Carolina’s special team’s woes was Ted Ginn’s muffed punt. Derek Anderson also threw an interception in the end zone in the 4th quarter that deflated the team.

No player stood out for the Tampa Bay offense. The Buc’s offensive unit tallied 300 yards total. The Jameis Winston-led unit went 5-16 on 3rd down conversions. Tampa Bay took advantage of the opportunities that they were given and eeked out a 17-14 win in the end. Meanwhile, the Panthers are certainly looking forward to the return of the league MVP, Cam Newton. Although, at 1-4, the Carolina has a slim chance of making the playoffs.

NFL 2016 Week 4: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, October 02, 1:00 PM, Georgia Dome

Match between Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons is a markable match of the National Football League creates history. Falcons beat the panthers by 48-33 which is a great lead on Sunday. M. Ryan and J. Jones give there remarkable performance and set records in the book of NFL. Matt Ryan, Passing for team record 503 yards and have 4 touchdowns. Julio Jones, Receiving for team had 12 receptions and record 300 yards. The outstanding performance by the team members results the victory over the Panthers. In the 4th Quarter, after having a hit as from DeionJones on a very successful 2-point run Cam-Newton left the game.

It was appeared that there was helmet to helmet contact but there ware no any penalties on the hit. Panther’s have almost three- fourth touchdowns. Alford’s 30 Yards interception return for touchdown with 1:14 and picked-off another pass from Anderson and end Carolina’s final possession. Falcons were difficult to stop by Carolina and lead NFL in the scoring and total offense. Carolina lost two straight. Newton was throughout from the game. It was after the eight times in the last week’s loss. But for Panthers game became challenging after Jonathan Stewart’s hamstring injury. Besides all these losing and winning game was played with sportsmen spirit and came to end with happiness and excitement.

NFL 2016 Week 3: Carolina Panthers vs Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, September 25, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers was the game to watch. Their history meeting are 13, and Minnesota Vikings are the ones leading 7-5 in the face to face match. They are 1-2 at Carolina Panthers and won there when a rookie by the name Christian ponder led them in a come from behind win in 2011. They presently met in 2014 November. The vikings are 2-0 while Carolina panthers are 1-1.

The biggest problem the Vikings have is their offensive. If Carolina Panthers want to win the game they have to shut down the running game and tee off Sam Bradford. Bradford looked very solid despite not knowing the playbook very well. The Vikings have a very strong receiver and thielen and Kyle Rudolph are also good strong players. Carolina Panthers are facing some problem in their offense line, with their key player having injuries like Jonathan Stewart, The Turner and Mike Remmers. Stewart might miss two weeks due to injuries his facing. Both offensive line are facing problems and each of their defenses will have a successful game.

NFL 2016 Week 2: Carolina Panthers vs San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, September 18, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Kelvin Benjamin scored two after he has supported 108 yards on 7 interceptions.

The San Francisco 49ers Chip Kelly accepted the loss against the Panthers as he’s made several comments on different occasions. Meanwhile the San Francisco side accrued 6 penalties at s distance of 50 yards. These penalties were as a result of the faults at the defense side of the San Francisco side as they fumbled on the football miserably.

The bout was getting much fun when Blaine Gabbert made dual interceptions for the San Francisco side. Carlos Hyde was incomplete when a 34 yard long ball was smashed on 14 carries. Fozzy Whittaker on the Panther side frame worked a 100 yard shot on 16 carries after Jonathan had retained a hamstring.

San Francisco’s defense needed reinforcement and 4 switches were made instantly as the game was sojourning. Gabbert threw 243 yards, 2 descendants and scored on a single yard run in the 4th quarter.

Saving the heads for their side, Benjamin made some crucial saves in hard time. The interception was on 25 yards in length. The initial one came in during the third quarter. Jimmie Ward knocked the ball feebly but Benjamin managed to stretch out for it. Later in the game, Devin Funchess managed to get his hands to a 50-50 ball for 19 touchdowns.

NFL 2016 Week 1: Carolina Panthers at Denver Broncos on Thursday, September 08, 8:30 PM, Sports Authority Field

Losing by one point is never easy, especially when you were leading for most of the game. It must have been devastating for the Carolina Panthers when they just couldn’t make that one point to change the face of the game, and even more devastating for them when the Denver Broncos managed to come back in the fourth quarter of the game and claim victory. It was a powerful week 1 for both teams, though clearly for different reasons. There’s something special about a comeback, and no doubt the Broncos were feeling the hype for at least a few days after the game ended.

Even more devastating to the Panther and exciting for the Broncos is that this is the same way that they ended their last season. Maybe not by score, but the battle between the Broncos and the Panthers had to have some high stakes in it. It seems that history chose to repeat itself and the Broncos took victory by the metaphorical horns at the end of the game. The game was a lot closer than their last one though, with the finishing score of 21 for the Broncos and 20 for the Panthers being very different from the 24 to 10 defeat that the Panthers suffered in last season’s championship. Hopefully they’ll get better and hopefully the Broncos will keep up the heat.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 4: Carolina Panthers vs Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, September 01, 7:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers had a rough day at Carolina Panthers where they suffered a 6-18. Both of the teams opted to rest their starters during this preseason finale. Carolina’s kicker Graham Gano made an impressive 6-for-6 goal attempts and he contributed to all the points in the Carolina’s big win. Running back Cameron Arti-Payne was the man behind Carolina’s rushing efforts with the impressive 77 yards on 18 carries. Joe Webb who played the whole game managed to complete 17 of 29 passes for 200 yards. The Panthers had a solid defense which limited the Steelers to only 47 total yards.

Steelers quarterback Landry Jones had a hard time during the game as he managed only one first-down. He completed 4 out of 5 passes for 29 yards. The best moment for the Steelers was a 66-yard drive which Daryl Richardson ended by running up the middle for a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Richardson’s impressive ground game made him rush nine times for the 45 yards.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 3: Carolina Panthers vs New England Patriots on Friday, August 26, 7:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Panthers fell just short of the Patriots Friday night with a score of 19-17. The table was somewhat set for both the Patriots and the Panthers going into preseason week three. Both teams are coming off a pretty good 2015 season (Panthers 15-1, Patriots 12-4) with the Panthers having a historic season behind Cam Newton who lead his team to the SuperBowl where they fell to defensive powerhouse, Denver Broncos. However, neither the Panthers nor the Patriots have been having a stellar preseason and week three was no different when the two teams went head-to-head.

The preseason is usually used as a measuring stick for players striving to make the 53-man roster but both the Panthers and the Patriots seem to still be finding their footing. With the Patriots without Hall of Famer, Tom Brady for the first four weeks of the season, backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has seen much preseason action. However, Garoppolo posted his worse preseason game this year completing only nine of fifteen passes for a measly 57 yards. The Panthers have developed a reputation for turning the opposition over. On Friday, they had zero takeaways and the offense gave up a whopping three turnovers.

Both teams agree that they are not where they want to be but understand the regular season is where they earn their money.

The Patriots face the Giants on September 1 in week four of the final preseason week. The Panthers gear up on September 8 for their season opener against the title defending Broncos.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 2: Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans on Saturday, August 20, 3:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

Carolina Panthers pulled out a win against the Tennessee Titans, 26-16. As almost every preseason game, also this one was full of mistakes on both sides and at every level. Heavy rain and the atmosphere on the stadium between two teams caused a heavy penalization on both sides. 14-combined penalties for 105 yards made the game really static and stagnant.

The actions of the game were really sloppy and even though corner backs seemed to be settled in, there was and still is a plenty of work to do on both sides. Worth mentioning is a play of Ted Ginn Jr. and his amazing touchdown. Getting out into space over 61 yards, despite his age he really deserve to be called the Flash.

The young players on the both sides got a great experience on a field and their progress is really nice. Kelvin Benjamin was during the game doing his best, to be fastest player, but he should work on the finishing part, together with the whole team. Even though Panthers won, the ending of the game was according to Cam Newton the part, which they should still work on. Good fast start followed by simultaneous downgrade will not push Panthers forward and they should work harder on the offense.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 1: Carolina Panthers at Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, August 11, 7:30 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

Carolina Panthers at Baltimore Ravens faced off in what was expected to be a highly competed match. The Panthers kicked off the game in a high momentum but unfortunately could not hold on with the Ravens and ended up losing 19-22. Though the Panther’s offense was on top of its game giving Raven’s defense proved their dominance by turning the match around. However, this was fairly a competitive match and one can predict that the next game may have different results. In the first series of the game the Baltimore was going down as Panthers shut them down seven yards only.

However, a fumble from quarterback Derek Anderson, Carolina got an interception that may have been returned for a penalty or a touchdown on quarterback Cam Newton. Later, the defense lost their motivation and started to give up chunks of yards. Ultimately, Panthers gave up their 10-point lead. It was easy to observe that the Panthers defense had a few problems. In conclusion, Baltimore is not an easy team to beat as their offense cannot be looked down upon. Though the Panthers fought hard their defense will need to be better prepared next time. The Baltimore Ravens came out victorious and we can only wait to see more from this team.

Carolina Panthers NFL season 2015 recap

Carolina Panthers has one of the most outstanding seasons in the history of franchise under their coach Ron Rivera. Having finished 15-1 in the regular season, Panthers are the first team to win 15 games since the expansion of the league in 1978. Panthers set a record for best starts with a 14-0 and had the season’s longest winning streak. This record broke the previously set 13-0 record by the New Orlean Saints. The Panthers even earned a home playoff game in three consecutive years. However, what seemed to be Panther’s undefeated streak broke when the Falcons beat then in a week rematch.

The Panthers later proved their dominance after beating Arizona Cardinals in what was a highly competed match. Jerricho Cotchery from Panthers finished the season with an incredible win of 486 yards. During the playoffs, Panthers had their victory over Seahawks in the much waited divisional round. The Panthers then had one of the most outstanding matches of the season when they beat Cardinal s 49-15 in the NFC championship.

This match got Panthers proceeding to the Super Bowl where they sadly lost to Denver Broncos with a 24-10 score. NFL 2015 Super Bowl: Carolina Panthers at Denver Broncos on Sunday, February 07, 6:30 PM, Sports Authority Field at Mile High

The Super Bowl game between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos took place on Sunday, 7 February 2016 at Levi’s Stadium, ending with a win of 24 – 10 for the Denver Broncos. This was the close-out game for the NFL season, raising questions about whether Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos would be returning for another season in 2017.

Manning can be proud of having giving the game all he has over the years with accomplishments such as most valuable player in five leagues, the oldest quarterback to win the Super Bowl, Hall of Fame, the first to win 200 games – he ended the current chapter of his career by winning the Vince Lombardi trophy. With another win under the belt and a successful but emotional end to his career, Manning remains secretive about his future. Whatever this 39, year old, stalwart’s plans are – the football fraternity wishes him well.

The Denver Broncos defense did not come up with its most memorable performance, only managing 194 yards, the least for a Super Bowl winning team. Their defense however won the day with a single touch down and goal – keeping the Panther’s offence at bay, despite an average of 31 points a game during the regular season. It was largely due to the efforts of the powerful Von Miller that the day was won. Recording seven sacks and forcing Newton to fumble twice, resulting in two touchdown conversions, his performance earned this Super Bowl linebacker most valuable player honors for the day. The Denver Broncos will certainly be remembered for their prowess in this game for years to come, surprising though their win was to some.

Haled as the flashy new superman quarterback for the Carolina Panthers and having walked away with NFL most valuable player honors on Saturday, Cam Newton was supposed to have brought his A game to the field on Sunday. Unfortunately, it was just not his day as Newton could not match up to the experience of age brought to the field by Manning and Von Miller. Perhaps the competition between Manning and Von Miller had something to do with Newton’s loss as their stand-offs began during their college careers. Whatever the case, Von Miller now sports a Super Bowl championship, while Newton does not. With many good footballing years ahead however, there is plenty of time to turn the game around for this Panther. Maybe next time!

Linebacker Kuechy capped the barrage by returning an interception 22 yards for a score. He said, ”There was pressure all day and the guys up front played exceptional”. Panthers made the most points this season by achieving 49, and led the NFL with 500. The last time so much score was made by a tem was in 1990: Buffalo 51, the Raiders 3 in the AFC.

NFL 2015 Divisional Playoffs: Carolina Panthers vs Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, January 17, 1:05 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Seahawks irately rallied in the second half, however it wasn’t sufficient to conquer a 31-0 first half shortage, as the Seahawks tumbled to the Carolina Panthers by a last of 31-24.

It was a story of two parts for the Hawks. In the wake of conceding the opening kick, it took only one drive by every offense to put the Panthers up by 14, after a Luke Kuechly pick-six immediately took after a speedy and simple touchdown drive that occurred totally on the ground for Carolina. Russell Wilson played as poor of a half of football as we’ve seen from him, tossing two captures and taking terrible sacks, while the hostile line neglected to frame any similarity of a divider before him. The safeguard was at the end of the day frequented by Greg Olsen, whose touchdown get at the end of the half would be the inevitable contrast producer. Steven Hauschka additionally missed a field objective at the end of the a large portion of, a field objective that could have made things exceptionally intriguing at the end of the match.

At the point when the second half started, both groups looked totally changed. The run game for the Panthers was non-existent, and the Seattle offense woke up. Started by a major Tyler Lockett kickoff give back, the Seahawks would discover the end zone on three of their next four drives (Kearse, Lockett, Kearse), with the Panthers copying off a lot of the check in the middle.

With 2:49 staying in the game, Seattle at long last got this show on the road the ball back. They walked down the field, yet a deferral of game punishment complicated things on second and-10 from the Panthers 13-yard line. They settled for the field objective to slice the shortfall to seven, and, for the second year in succession, were set to depend on an onside kick to decide their playoff trusts. This time, Brandon Bostick was mysteriously absent, and Thomas Davis made a striking catch (for a linebacker) to seal the game for Carolina.

NFL 2015 Week 17: Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, January 03, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Ever watched a game and felt like part of the players? The game of Buccaneers at panthers was one that elicited mixed reactions amongst the viewers. With their long rivalry, this was a much awaited game to start up 2016 in a blast. The Carolina Panthers stretched their muscles and engaged their forward gear to thrash Buccaneers at the Bank of America football stadium. However this game was predictive considering the history of these two teams. Having been beaten six consecutive times by Panthers, The possibility of Buccaneers winning this game were critically narrow. However as obviously expected, they tried their luck even under such conditions and managed to make a 10 score. Even with the missing Carolina Panthers players due to injuries, that did not deter them from doing what they do best. In absence of Jonathan Stewart and Ted Gin, Panthers managed to pull up a mighty win perhaps sending a message that they are still unbeatable. This is an indicator of greater times ahead for the fans even with the recent escalation in the number of teams eyeing the NFL games.

NFL 2015 Week 16: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, December 27, 1:00 PM, Georgia Dome

Quarterback Matt Ryan had an unenviable task in front of him when he led the Atlanta Falcons onto the field against the Carolina Panthers who have been undefeated this season. In what turned out to be a very low scoring game, Ryan led his squad to a narrow 20-13 victory to end the Panthers’ perfect season and to send a message to the division that it’s too early to count out Atlanta in the championship hunt.

There will be very little doubt that Carolina quarterback Cam Newton must be considered for top honors in this role this season, but stellar efforts by Atlanta’s Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman gave Falcons fans a glimpse of the championship winning team that has hoisted the Super Bowl in the past … and could again. Jones’ seventy yard catch and follow through to the goal line was a textbook performance that is sure to be reviewed repeatedly.

The Panthers started strong, but were ineffective once Atlanta started to mount momentum. Perhaps this interruption to an otherwise perfect season will help to re-focus the unit and ensure they don’t stumble due to overconfidence in the weeks still ahead in the season.

NFL 2015 Week 15: Carolina Panthers at New York Giants on Sunday, December 20, 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

The Carolina Panthers have just shrugged off a record-tying New York Giants comeback with a wild 38-35 win at MetLife Stadium. It was Carolina’s 18th straight regular season victory. Panthers had to withstand a barn-storming comeback from the Giants on Sunday to maintain their perfect record. The Giants tied it when Odell Beckham Jr. got behind Norman for a 14 yard touch-down catch with 1:46 to go. Beckham, involved in a game long helmet-smacking, jawing and shoving session with Panthers cornerback Josh Norman, was suspended for one game because of his actions on the field against Norman.

The Panthers established a 28-point lead early on in the game. Giants then battled back to tie the score after trailing by 28-points in the 3rd quarter with 1:46 remaining, but the Panthers got to 14-0 lead on Graham Gano’s 43 yard field goal as time expired dashing New York’s hopes. Cam Newton, who threw for 5 touchdowns to further state his course for NFL Most Valuable Player honors, was not quite sure what he had just been through. Newton has thrown for nineteen touchdowns in the last 5 games and a career best 33 in this so-far special season. Play ranged from vicious to chippy, particularly since the Panthers banged Beckham around. The 18 straight-wins match the 3rd longest string in NFL history.

NFL 2015 Week 14: Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, December 13, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Panthers are now three games away from winning every game in the regular season, and have now wrapped up a first round bye in the playoffs. This season, Cam Newton is putting up huge numbers, and doing an impressive job showing just what he can do. This is the best season that that both Cam and the Panthers have had. The Falcons, on the other hand, are towards the bottom of the NFC South (the same division as the Panthers), only the Saints are worse right now. The Falcons have not won a game against a divisional opponent this year.

Matt Ryan completed 22 of his 34 pass attempts throwing for 224 yards, one interception, no touchdown passes, and he fumbled the ball twice, losing one of them.

Cam Newton completed fifteen passes after 21 attempts, throwing for 265 yards, three touchdowns (adding to his 28 for the season), and no interceptions in the win. He has already broken his highest career touchdown passes in a season of 24. As of now, this is the lowest amount of interceptions that he has thrown; his previous low was twelve, which he’s done twice in his career.

The Panthers scored in every quarter, except the fourth; they scored early and often in the game. They scored 21 in the first quarter alone. Even though they scored no points in the fourth, they still scored ten in the second half.

NFL 2015 Week 13: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints on Sunday, December 06, 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

As of now, there is only one team undefeated, only one team going to the playoffs, and only one team who has clinched their division as of right now. The Panthers are all three. The Saints are simply trying to limit how many losses they wind up, and trying to win as many games as they can before the season is over. This is what some may call garbage time for them.

Drew Brees completed 24 of his 42 passes throwing for 282 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He ran once and got twelve yards, no touchdowns.

Cam Newton completed 28 passes of his 41 attempts, throwing for 331 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. He also had 49 rushing yards on ten rushes.

This game was all over the place, scoring wise. The Saints ended the first quarter having scored the all of the game’s fourteen points. However, by halftime, they would have allowed their lead to slip to 16-13. When the second half got going, the Panthers would figure out how to score, scoring 28 of their 41 points (fourteen in both the third and fourth quarters) in the second half; while the Saints would only score 22. The game started out going the Saints way, and then turned into a much closer game and something of a shootout, without much defense.

NFL 2015 Week 12: Carolina Panthers at Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, November 26, 4:30 PM, AT&T Stadium

The Carolina Panthers feasted on the Dallas Cowboys winning with a score of 33-14 at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tony Romo, the star quarterback for the Cowboys, had just returned from a left clavicle that was fractured in Week 11 and led the Dallas to victory against the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately, his clavicle got injured again and his rust went on to persist so he was forced to exit the field after he was hit by Thomas Davis in the final play of the third quarter and the Cowboys could not win without him.

Cam Newton, the Panther’s start quarterback, did his part very well as he went on to get the Panthers only offensive touchdown on a 4 yard run for a 30-6 lead just moments before Tony Romo’s injury. He has a passing of 183 yards with several third down conversions and also another rushing of 45 yards. Romo’ injuries happened during the second play of Dallas’ possession after Newton’s score where Romo was hit by Thomas Davis and went down on his left shoulder similar to the way he went down 10 weeks ago in Philadelphia.

Newton had three 24 yard completions on third down and went on to lead the panthers into the end zone after Bryan Jones from the Cowboys was penalized because of leaping on top of his linemen when Graham Gano made a field goal of 48 yards.

NFL 2015 Week 11: Carolina Panthers vs Washington Redskins on Sunday, November 22, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Washington Redskins suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Carolina Panthers. 44 – 16 was the final score in a game that saw Cam Newton throw a five touchdown passes that is his career high and see him set a record for the team. The Panthers became the 16th team in the era of the Super Bowl to start 10-0 which also meant that they opened a four game lead over Atlanta in the NFC South. This comes in light of the previous 15 teams to do this going on to the Super Bowl and 6 of them winning everything.

The Redskins could do nothing to stop the devastating loss caused by the Panthers who were just amazing to watch. Forcing five turnovers that lead to 27 points with five sacks of Kirk Cousins and going on to establish what can only be termed as a franchise record by holding the opponents to 14 yards rushing only on 12 carries. Taking on Dallas later on in the week, Panthers’ coach removed most of his key players in the fourth quarter with them 44 – 14 up. It was a game that can only be described as one of the most one sided of the season but then again, the Panthers mean business this season.

NFL 2015 Week 10: Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans on Sunday, November 15, 1:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

The Carolina Panthers traveled to Tennessee to battle the Titans in what was sure to be an excellent game. Quarterback Cam Newton of the Panthers had an excellent first half, almost being perfect in the passing game. The Panthers beat the Titans 27-10 in a game that increased the Panther’s winning streak to thirteen.

Carolina relied heavily on its stout defense which only allowed the Titans to have 11 first downs. The ending drive of the game was highlighted when the Panthers forced a fumble from the Titans. An incredible game that keeps the Panthers unbeaten with a record of 9-0 and it leaves the Titans with a record of 2-7.

The Panthers dominated the Titans by keeping the ball and running up the time of possession. The Titans were poor on their third down conversions only converting on five of their third down possessions. Jonathon Stewart of Carolina has a decent game amassing 91 rushing yards on 22 carries and their outstanding target of a tight end Greg Olsen had 80 receiving yards on 8 balls thrown in his direction. Not one ball thrown to Olsen was dropped.

The Titans defense tried to put a clamp on the elusive Newton in the second half by ramping up their pass rush, but, in the end the Carolina defense proved to be too much for Tennessee.

NFL 2015 Week 9: Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers on Sunday, November 08, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Packers were able to defeat the Panthers by dictating a 37-29 score. The game was tight and the scoring momentum of the Packers started from the beginning of the game. The Panthers had a nourished defense team and strong men.

The Panthers were also determined to win the match but unfortunately the Packers were stronger than them. The fans from both sides also made the derby between the two mighty teams interesting and also gave the players moral to play the game to their fullest.

The Packers’ strikers had more effort to play around with the Packers’ defense and score the thirty seven goals .The strikers from Panthers also played around with the Panthers’ players but they found it hard to pass the defenders during the last minutes of the game because they became exhausted faster than the strikers from Packers.

Both teams should continue with the same spirit because they are all strong and capable of scoring many yards in a single game. Perhaps, panthers should use a more suitable formation of positioning their players according to their abilities and weaknesses. Packers will continue celebrating the victory from their effort. Of course more great results are expected from the team.

NFL 2015 Week 8: Carolina Panthers vs Indianapolis Colts on Monday, November 02, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The game played by the Carolina Panthers vs. the Indianapolis Colts was not easy especially because of the pressure put on players from both teams to win and the fact they had to play on sloppy ground given the fact that it was raining. The Carolina Panthers however did manage to win 29- 26 against the Indianapolis colts. With a 7-0 Carolina Panthers won themselves their 11th consecutive win on the regular seasons. This allowed them to take the two-game lead over the Atlanta Falcons. The Carolina Panthers however maintain that their win was not satisfactory to them and they expected that they would do much better.

The Carolina Panthers although they faced major difficulties like losing their left guard Andrew Norwell and having gone into the game without their four times Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil, they still showed a great game, this was shown by supporting each Panther in the game, cheering each other on and having each others backs in every single move. These qualities made it impossible for them to loose and had it not been for the many challenges in the game, they maybe would have gotten to their goal. There were also backed greatly by the fact that their loyal fans were still cheering them on despite the bad weather. This made them want to win even more.

NFL 2015 Week 7: Carolina Panthers vs Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 25, 8:30 PM, Bank of America Stadium

True to their motto the Carolina Panthers pounded the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL game on Sunday night. The Eagles had a bad run of luck that started with eight dropped passes and ended up with a 27 – 16 loss to the Panthers who were on top form. The Eagles last chance to get back in the game with a fourth-and-9 with two minutes remaining resulted in yet another dropped pass dooming them to their inevitable loss.

The Eagles had a chance to win despite their fumbles when they were able to intercept Panthers quarterback Cam Newton three times and nearly over came their 15-point deficit. At one point in the fourth quarter they were within five points when they missed a field goal and the Panthers scored one thus putting the game out of reach for the unlucky Eagles. There were some highlights to the Eagles’ game play; early in the third quarter Ryan Mathews brought the Eagles to within 21-13 with his 63-yard touchdown run.

Unfortunately in this time the Eagles were fighting from behind for what seemed like the whole game. Having reached the halfway point of the season lets hope the team take some time out to re-evaluate and strengthen their game for the second half.

NFL 2015 Week 6: Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 18, 4:05 PM, CenturyLink Field

The Carolina Panthers rose above teh Seattle Seahawks at a good match. It was an upset because everyone was expecting Seahawks to win this match. Panthers won over them at 27-23 which took their playoff chance up to 99 percent from 69. It had to happen and Seahawks lost the chance of achieving playoff by 24%. This was the highest fall for a team in terms of percentage this week (week 6). Seahawks started the season at 80 points but now they only have 23% chances of making it to the playoff.

The fans are really disappointed about their performance and on the other hand, the fans of Carolina Panthers’ are happy. This was sad from a Seahawks fan perspective because they gave up the lead of a fourth quarter in this match. This was a home match for them and it is the third time in the history that they lost a match in their home when Russell Wilson played as a quarterback. Though the stats are not looking that bright, the team is strong enough and everyone is hoping that the team will rise up again.

NFL 2015 Week 4: Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, October 04, 1:00 PM, Raymond James Stadium

The final showdown between the Carolina Panthers Versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a worth watch as Newton and Norman steered the pouncing Panthers at Buccaneers for a brilliant 4-0 victory. These stars played exceptionally well amidst some confusing moments and lack of co-ordination and their touch down moments were simply fabulous. Ed Dickson sprang for 57 yards to score and his team is proud of his game play.

He grabbed the ball from Jonathan steward from midair and took the game on his side by winning the touchdown. The game was owned by the Panthers since the beginning with five turnovers in total. All the Panthers were very heavy on the Buccaneers as this game was their best since 2003 wherein they have enjoyed five straight victories and are about to appear for the super bowl. The Bucs seemed to be deeply upset about the match and the coach himself felt they could have performed better.

Despite wise decisions like inducting Mike Alsott or Brindza and Steward’s goal attempts the day was definitely not in favor of Tampa Bay’s Buccaneers. The Panthers were fully in celebration mood as they dedicated their victory to their optimistic attitude.

NFL 2015 Week 3: Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, September 27, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The last time the saints played in Carolina, Mark Ingram grounded out 100 yards on 30 carriers enabling the saints to win the game with a score of 28 against 10 scored by the Carolina panthers. The New Orleans Saints however were beaten by the Carolina panthers in just the concluded match that was played at the Bank of America stadium on Sunday as they lost to a score of 22 to 27 scored by the visiting team the Carolina panthers.

The quarterback Luke McCown who replaced the injured Drew Bress showed a good performance but was not able to laed the New Orleans Saints to their first victory as they were out played tactically and physically by the Carolina players. The New Orleans Saints player of the match was McCown who was perceived to be very decisive and accurate during the match which was his first start match since 2011. He was able to go 31 for 38 for 320 yards but could not hit deep and neither could he throw a touchdown pass as expected from him by his team mates.

The saints managed to score through the 2 yard run by Khirty Robinson who came back after being out of the starting season due to an arm injury. They also managed to score by the 5-yard run by Mark Ingram and a 74-yard run by Marcus Morphy. The Carolina side however proved to be the best team of the day and this was due to the marvelous and interesting play done by the panthers’ strong players such as Charles Johnson and Thomas Davis who was doing a better as a linebacker.

NFL 2015 Week 2: Carolina Panthers vs Houston Texans on Sunday, September 20, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

This game wasn’t really close, the Panthers had the game pretty well under control, even after the Texans went up 3-0 in the first quarter, the only time they would lead in this game, although, they would tie up the game in the middle of the third quarter.

After putting together a decent fourth quarter performance in week 1’s loss to the Chiefs, Ryan Mallett got the start in this game. He threw for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception; he even rushed for a touchdown, that cut the Panthers’ lead down to only seven, coming on fourth down. He went 0-14 and threw an interception under pressure.

Cam Newton, in the second game of his fifth NFL season threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns on 18 completions and rushed for 76 yards and had a rushing touchdown that gave Carolina a 17-10 lead in the third quarter. Cam capitalized on a turnover in the fourth quarter, throwing one of his touchdown passes.

The Texans trailed 10-3 at the half but, wound up putting 14 points on the board. It wasn’t enough to beat the Panthers. They had an opportunity to tie the game late in the game, after blocking a field goal, but they could not convert on fourth-and-16 in the red zone.

NFL 2015 Week 1: Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 13, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The Carolina Panthers held on to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-9 in a game whose performance can only be described as lackluster. The Panthers’ game at the start of the game was really superb and the fact that they kept the Jaguars’ quarterback, Blake Bortles, at bay was really great.

The game had its fare share of down moments that some would only call sloppy really. There was this moment where Greg Olsen got a touchdown but a penalty that was really uncalled for would nullify the result. Both teams seemed to be struggling a lot to be in the game as far as their psyche was concerned.

Field goals were missed from both sides of the teams and wide open passes were dropped by the wide receivers. Such incidences made the game a little bit not worthy to watch. Luke Kuechy, one of the most outstanding players of the game from the Panthers’ side suffered a concussion. It was hard to see him struggling to get up. Despite this blow, the Panthers’ defense held on quite remarkably and ensured that the team carried the day. Overall, the game really did not impress but it was a good game for the Panthers’.

Carolina Panthers’ NFL season 2014

The Carolina Panthers, in 2014, did quite well. They took over NFC South Division for the second straight time. They also were furthered to postseason in spite of having their losing record at 7-8-1. The first team in history of NFC South to win back to back division title.

They ended up at #1 spot in NFC South division even though they’ve had more losses than wins itself. In the wildcard play off, Carolina Panthers might have defeated the Arizona Cardinals, but they lost to Seattle Seahawks to end their 2014 season. Carolina Panther’ defense was their strong suit in this season.

NFL 2014 Divisional Playoffs: Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, January 10, 8:15 PM, CenturyLink Field

Before the beginning of this game the question on many peoples mind was if the Carolina Panthers could upset Seattle. However, this was not to be as Carolina lost 31-17. Carolina came into this game very determined to make it to the playoffs. However, two interceptions from Cam Newton killed any chances of a win for them. One of this interceptions led to a touchdown putting the game beyond Carolina.

The game was not generally very exciting but there were some key individual brilliance from some of the players. On one of this players is Jonathan Stewart and his 70 yard rush on 13 attempts. Another outstanding player for Carolina was Kelvin Benjamin who had seven catches for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Outstanding players for Seattle were Kam Chancellor and Marshawn Lynch who went 90 yard to secure the win for Seattle. Lynch also had 11 tackles. Chancellor also had a good game with 14 attempts of 59 yard rush.

Despite their spirited attempt to win the game Carolina seemed to have a lot of trouble in passing the ball. Perhaps this was one of the major contributors to their huge loss. Now Carolina can focus on preparations for next season since they are out of the playoffs.

NFL 2014 Wildcard Weekend: Carolina Panthers vs Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, January 03, 4:35 PM, Bank of America Stadium

It was a surprise win for the Carolina Panthers, who hadn’t secured a postseason win in nine years. Coming up against a traditionally strong team in the Arizona Cardinals, the Panthers managed to make the most of the temporarily lacking lineup.

The Panthers made an impressive three turnovers in just 78 yards, with a final score of 27-16 making it a huge victory for the Carolina natives. The second half saw the fiery performance continue with two interceptions of Ryan Lindley and the Cardinals just couldn’t seem to keep up. During the game, Philly Brown, Panthers’ wide receiver was taken out with a shoulder injury, while Charles Johnson had two sacks.

With a weak defense, due in part to a myriad of injuries including quarterbacks Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton, the pressure was on Lindley to carry the team through. However, despite some temporary recoveries in play, the Arizona Cardinals had to eventually bow out to the indomitable Panthers.

It was a final interception from Kuechly that secured the victory for the Panthers in the end with just over 10 minutes left on the clock, after they had already rolled ahead in the third quarter with two touchdowns.

NFL 2014 Week 17: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, December 28, 1:00 PM, Georgia Dome

The Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons squared of Sunday in a must win game for both. The victor would be the NFC South champs and earn a first round home game in the playoffs. The Panthers came in very hot winning three straight games and kept it going Sunday. The Panthers defense was unstoppable returning two interceptions for touchdowns, forcing a fumble, and sacking Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan six times. On the offensive side of the ball, Cam Newton looked healthy for the first time all season throwing for 114 yards and a touchdown and rushing for another 51 yards and a touchdown.

The team also rushed for a combined 194 yards. The Falcons looked confused all day on both sides of the ball. There defense could not figure out Cam Newton and the read option offense. Atlanta fans booed their team and their second straight losing season. To finish it all off, Falcons owner Arthur Blank fired head coach Mike Smith today. It was another disappointing loss for the Falcons and their fans, who have one of the leagues higher scoring offenses, but seem to always fall short in the must win games.

NFL 2014 Week 16: Carolina Panthers vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday, December 21, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Cleveland Browns had already been eliminated from the playoffs, and were hoping to see if Johnny Manziel could bounce back from his disappointing first start of the season, to guide the team to victory against the Carolina Panthers, who have struggled all year long. Unfortunately for the Browns and their fans, Manziel hurt his hamstring in the second quarter, and was unable to finish the game. He was 3-8, for 32 yards, in another unimpressive performance.

Brian Hoyer came into the game to replace Manziel, and tried to rally the team from a 10-3 halftime deficit. He came close to leading his team to victory, completing 7-13 passes, for 134 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. He led the Browns to 10 unanswered points, but the defense couldn’t hold up their end of the bargain, and let the Panthers score, less than three minutes after the Browns took the lead.

Cam Newton made his return for the Panthers, after missing last week’s game, because he had two fractures in his lower back, due to an automobile accident. Newton led his team to victory, completing 18-31 passes, for 201 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. He also added 63 yards and one touchdown on the ground, giving their offense the boost it needed.

James Stewart also ran for over 100 yards, for the second time in three weeks, and is averaging 109 yards per game in his last four games, after rushing for over 50 yards once in his first eight games. The win puts the Panthers in first place in the NFC South, with one game left to play.

NFL 2014 Week 15: Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, December 14, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

Subbing in for Cam Newton was Derek Anderson for the Carolina Panthers. He tried to prove his worth by beating the Buccaneers 19-17, although it was all the field goals that gave the team their win. This was the first back to back win that they have had since weeks 1 and 2. Newton was out due to two fractures in his lower back. It gave Anderson a chance to show is stuff. Even though Anderson ended the game only adding one 2 yard touchdown pass, early in the third quarter, they were able to squeak out the win.

After the first half the Panthers were behind 10-9 which gave way to a pep talk from linebackers Luke Keuchly and Thomas Davis. This talk turned out pretty well as they were able to score 9 more points in the second half. Charles Johnson and Addison worked together the strip McCown of the ball in the second half. This was the game changing play and cinched the win for the Panthers. This isn’t to say that Anderson didn’t have his own sacks. Anderson ended the game on the receiving end of three sacks.

NFL 2014 Week 14: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints on Sunday, December 07, 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Carolina at New Orleans was a dramatic game played. This match was marked by Carolina’s Brandon Williams being fined for fighting in the game. Carolina Panthers took the victory in a very massive way. The overall final score of the NFL game was 41-10. Despite the fact that New Orleans Saints was playing home, they were not able to control the scores by the Carolina Panthers.

D. Brees of the Saints passed 235 yards recording 1 touchdown and 1 interception. J. Stewart of the Panthers recorded 20 carries over 155 yards and 1 touchdown. His teammate G. Olsen recorded 10 receives over 72 yards and 1 touchdown. In the first quarter, the Saints did not record any score. The Panthers however scored 17 points. In the second quarter, the Saints managed to score 3 points while the Panthers scored 7 points. The game went into half time with the Panthers leading at a score sheet of 24-3. This was one major reason for the New Orleans saints to lose morale. Their fans were hoping for different results in the second quarter.

In the first quarter of the second half, the Saints did not record any score once again. The Panthers however recorded 14 points to end that quarter. In the final quarter, the Saints’ fans were already disappointed with the overall performance of their team. The Saints scored 7 points while the Panthers recorded 3 points. This brought the final score of 41-10 rendering the Saints losers of the game.

NFL 2014 Week 13: Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 30, 1:00 PM, Mall of America Field

The Minnesota Vikings were able to catch some breaks on special teams, while also getting a solid performance from wide out Greg Jennings. The Vikings were able to defeat the Carolina Panthers by a 31-13 score. The Vikings were able to put Cam Newton on the ground with numerous sacks from Shariff Floyd and Everson Griffen. The Vikings did not even run that many plays in the game, only setting up thirty six in total. You have to be happy with the five carries that Ben Tate was able to give you in the game, as you realize that Matt Asiata may be more comfortable picking up blitzers like Ben Jacobs.

You are starting to see Teddy Bridgewater develop a solid relationship with Charles Johnson. Johnson was able to do some great work on a couple of catches against some credible corners like Josh Norman and Roman Harper. Roman Harper is a corner that can get turned around somewhat and the Vikings were able to also use Jarius Wright in the game. Wright caught two passes in the game, as the team’s best overall deep threat. The fact that the Vikins were able to get Kyle Rudolph ready for the game was a factor that really tamped down on some of the efforts of the Panthers linebackers.

NFL 2014 Week 11: Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, November 16, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Atlanta Falcons are starting to find their way, particularly with the help of their star receiver Julio Jones. The fact that Graham Gano missed two field goals in the game may be a sign that the Panthers need to evaluate their special teams setup. Matt Bryant on the other hand was able to hit four field goals in the game. The solid kicking performance put together by Matt Bryant certainly gave the Falcons a certain amount of momentum going into the second half.

The Panthers still have to figure out what they are going to do at the receiver position. Cam Newton has to make some ill advised throws in order to allude the pressure put on by different teams in the NFC South. Kelvin Benjamin is still trying to learn how to work with Newton when Newton is throwing on the run. They do seem to have a good working relationship with Benjamin catching nine balls in this game. Newton did have two interceptions in the game, but they probably won’t be facing a cornerback with the skills of Desmond Trufant in the future. The Panthers were not able to get enough out of Philly Brown late in the game, this allowed the Falcons to double team Benjamin.

NFL 2014 Week 10: Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, November 10, 8:30 PM, Lincoln Financial Field

In his first start since December 2012, Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers as Philadelphia (7-2, 1st in NFC East) beat the Carolina Panthers (3-6-1, 2nd in NFC South) 45-21. In 63 career starts, this was the first time that Sanchez had thrown for 300+ yards, two touchdowns, and no turnovers. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles defense was able to sack Panthers QB Cam Newton nine times and force five turnovers. The Eagles offense was able to turn those five turnovers into 24 points.

Philadelphia jumped out to a fast starting, leading 31-7 at half. Darren Sproles had two touchdowns in the first half, one on a 65 yard punt return and the other on an 8 yard rush. Newton finished the game with 306 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. His two touchdown passes, both to rookie WR Kelvin Benjamin, came late in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach. Eagles WR Jordan Matthews had a big day, with 7 receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers, who have lost four straight games, also lost defensive tackle Star Lotulelei to an injury late in the third quarter. The Panthers face the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday, while the Eagles will battle the Green Bay Packers.

NFL 2014 Week 9: Carolina Panthers vs New Orleans Saints on Thursday, October 30, 8:25 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The NFL week nine produced interesting results that are worth talking about. One of such results is the results between the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers found it hard to go past a well oiled Saints machine. The Saints ran away with a 28-10 victory, inflicting a major blow to a Panthers side that is in tatters. In the game, the Saints were undoubtedly the better side. Their defense was more solid and their offense responded in kind by running circles in the Panthers incoherent defense. It was disappointing for the home fans to watch their beloved team torn apart in pieces. After weighing the opponents in the first quarter, the Saints came back the stronger side, taking the second quarter 14-0. In the third quarter, the Panthers seemed to have found their scoring rhythm. However, their defense couldn’t hold off the Saints offense, allowing them in the danger zone. The quarter ended 7-7. Sensing a famous away victory, the Saints threw in everything in the last quarter to take it 7-3. This condemned the panthers to their first loss of the season. Prior to this game, the Panthers had won only three games, drawing a massive five. On the other hand, the Saints have played eight, winning four and losing four.

NFL 2014 Week 8: Carolina Panthers vs Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 26, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Seattle Seahawks were able to set up a drive late in the game that allowed them to beat the Carolina Panthers by a 13-9 score. It was the Wilson-Wilson connection that won the game for the Seahawks. People have to be aware of the effort that K.J. Wright made in the game. Wright was able to make Cam Newton fairly uncomfortable in the game. The significant kick return by Paul Richardson for 47 yards is something that did help set up the Seahawks for victory.

There are people on the Seahawks staff that said they saw holes in the Panthers kicking game on tape earlier in the week. Josh Norman and other people were able to make plays for the Panthers during the game that stalled drives put together by Russell Wilson.

Greg Olson is going to continue to make progress for the Panthers at the tight end position, but players like Earl Thomas and Cliff Avril were able to slow some of that progress. The Panthers struggled to get the ball to Jason Avant, this is why they tried to force it to Avant in the running game. Those struggles are why the Panthers could not win the game.

NFL 2014 Week 7: Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers on Sunday, October 19, 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field

After coming off a career-high 17 carries last week, Carolina Panthers’ Quarterback Cam Newton could not find a rhythm or have an answer for the strong defense and sure tackling of the Green Bay Packers. Newton was held to only 7 rushing attempts for a total of 41 yards against the Packers. However, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had a strong answer for Newton and his Panthers by eliminating the threat of the Panthers’ running game from the opening possession.

In the opening drive, Rodgers connected with Jordy Nelson for a 59-yard touchdown pass to silence the threat of the Carolina defense as well as to get off to a strong start and effective lead. The Packers’ first four possessions would end up in the end zone, with a total of three separate players scoring touchdowns, with Jordy Nelson, Eddie Lacy and James Starks, all bringing the ball in for scores.

Rodgers tore up the Carolina secondary by completing 19 for 22 passes and had them on their heels the entire game. However, Carolina did manage to put together a few late game touchdowns to bring their points to 17, but Green Bay held the lead and captured the victory with a 38-17 win.

Aaron Rodgers finished the night completing 19 for 22 passes with 255 yards as opposed to Carolina’s Cam Newton with 17 for 31 passes for 205 yards. With a 5-2 record, the win places Green Bay second in their division behind the Detroit Lions. Carolina drops to a 3-3-1 record but maintains their lead in the NFC South with the New Orleans Saints behind them at 2-4.

NFL 2014 Week 6: Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, October 12, 1:00 PM, Paul Brown Stadium

This game was recorded as one of the tightest games played. It was played on Sunday, 12th of October at 1300hrs. It was played in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Paul Brown Stadium. The game recorded a draw of 37 points each side. It was an away game for the Carolina Panthers. The score board was recorded as follows in the respective quarters.

Sunday 28th saw the Baltimore Ravens maul their clueless guests, the Carolina Panthers, 38-10. The Ravens now have a 3-1 record after their third victory of the season. However, the last two weeks were not favorable for the Panthers, who lost their last two consecutive games. In week three, they were unlucky to lose to Pittsburgh. They were just fresh from conjuring victories against their week one and week two opponents. The going only gets tougher for them as they face Chicago come Sunday 5th. After Chicago, Cincinatti will be waiting for them.

The M & T Stadium must have played a significant role in the Ravens Victory. Their newest acquisition, Steve Smith, ran rings around his former Carolina teammates, contributing massively to the Ravens victory. He was simply unstoppable and in a class of his own. The mercurial 35 year old NFL player made history by becoming the oldest receiver to reach 400 receiving yards after just four games only. The panthers may not have Smith to contend with in the next game, but their mental strength and character will be under severe test come Sunday against the Buffalos. Fixing their exposed defense is exactly one of the key things coach Ron Rivera will be handling before Sunday. Definitely, the Panthers will be seeking to turn their fortunes around and return to their winning ways as soon as possible.

Jones was able to force issues within the Panthers offense, despite injuring himself on the play. Mike Mitchell is clearly growing more comfortable with the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary schemes.

The Panthers were not able to find their groove offensively, they were able to get a few solid plays out of tight end Greg Olsen, but with the injuries that Jericho Cotchery is facing then the they simply were not ready for the game. The Steelers are clearly getting younger on defense with players like Ryan Shazier as well.

The Steelers were able to find plenty of holes within the Panthers defensive line. Leveon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were able to have plenty of success within the running game. Antonio Brown and Heath Miller continue to find a fair amount of success within the offensive scheme put together by Todd Haley.

The Carolina Panthers hosted the Detroit Lions on Sunday 14th Sep, in their week two match, played at the Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. This was his first game since he fractured his rib in a pre-season build up. The Panthers are now at the pole of the NFC South. However, the Lions shouldn’t have lost by such a margin. They failed to utilize their first half opportunities to score.

Nate Freese was guilty of missing two field goals, while Joique Bell’s lack of composure in the Panther’s territory, denying the lions very vital points. As if that wasn’t enough, Johnson dropped a potential TD catch. During the match, Nevin Lawson, Lions cornerback, was taken off with an injury, never to return again. NFL 2014 Week 1: Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 07, 4:25 PM, Raymond James Stadium

On September 7th, the Carolina Panthers faced the Buccaneers from Tampa away from home. It was a performance to cheer for, from the guests, as they rallied past their opponents 20 to 14. Clearly deserved winners, the Panthers were proven to be very efficient given how they dominated each aspect of the game, from being top passers, top rushers to top receivers. It was a good game for Derek Anderson, the quarterback threw for two-hundred and thirty yards and had two touchdowns, but a solid defensive display from his team to go with it; sacking Josh McCown of the Buccaneers three times as well as intercepting him twice.

Veteran Anderson, substituting fellow Cam Newton due to injury, gave coach Ron Rivera a chance to resort his options in the quarterback area. On the other hand, Lovie Smith will not be happy about the outcome of the contest, despite some positives worth mentioning, such as an improved offense that was referred to as “one of the worst” a year ago, displaying a solid attacking know-how during the fourth quarter. Linebacker Kuechly of Panthers forced a remarkable fumble that led to a field goal at the end of the game. Additionally, Tampa’s Mankins picked up a knee injury.
