The Oakland Raiders visited the Los Angeles Chargers, and this was an amazing match. The Oakland Raiders did an amazing job at defeating the famous Chargers to finish with the powerful record of 6-10 this outstanding season. The score of the match was 30-10 in favor of the Oakland Raiders. The Oakland Raiders have an all-time regular season record of 62-52-2 against the Chargers. The famous Oakland Raiders fished 2017 with a record of 2-4 in the important AFC West division. Mr. Bowman led his team in tackles for the 9th time since he joined the team.

Mr. Carr recorded a terrific touchdown that culminated a 75-yard drive that lasted more than a minute. This drive tied the game at just seven apiece. Mr. Cooper has 7 touchdowns in his list this season, and this is a new high in his career. Mr. Ellis also did an amazing job at blocking a field goal attempt coming from the Oakland Raiders. NFL 2017 Week 16: Los Angeles Chargers at New York Jets on Sunday, December 24, 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

The Sunday game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the New York Jets was a display of defensive tactics on both teams. As a result, there were no goals in the first and the fourth quarters. The Los Angeles chargers took an early lead in the econ quarter when Gates made 3-yard touchdown involving 12-play and 71-yard drive. The score placed the Los Angeles Chargers on a 7-0 lead. The New York Jets came by an opportunity in the third quarter when Los Angele’s Nick Ross was full right on a 47-yard shot. The Jets through Powell got 7 points from a long touchdown run.

However, the Los Angeles Chargers retained their lead quickly some few minutes after. Gordon made 1-yard run that saw him hit the hole and push the goal line with a second and third effort. At this point, the chargers were seven points clear of the jets with a score of 14-7. The jest would have closed the gap with the roughing-the-passer techniques of Joey Bosa. However, with Petty’s heave to Robby Anderson in the end, minutes made the Jets efforts futile. Therefore, the game needed 14-7 in favor of the Los Angeles Chargers.

NFL 2017 Week 15: Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, December 16, 8:25 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

The Chiefs beat the Chargers 30-13, but it is clear that the Chargers are still the better team. The Chargers are a more consistent team right now, and they seem to be clicking on offense. They are making major strides to make their team better, and they will likely go to the playoffs because of their offense. They are better in their division because of this, but they have not been able to win every game the way they should have. They should have beaten the Chiefs, but the Chiefs had a very good day.

The Chiefs were able to put 30 points on the board, and they made it so that the team was able to get out in front and stay there. They made sure that the Chargers could not come back, but it is not clear that they will be able to do that in the future. Someone who is trying to handicap the next game for both teams needs to remember that the Chargers have been more consistent throughout the year. The Chiefs are not in a good spot because we do not know who they are and they do not have an identity. The Chargers will continue to play well despite this loss and are on the way to the playoffs.

NFL 2017 Week 14: Los Angeles Chargers vs Washington Redskins on Sunday, December 10, 4:05 PM, StubHub Center

The Washington Redskins at Los Angeles Chargers was an amazing game. The Chargers won the match with a 30-13 score against the Redskins. The Chargers trounced their opponents just to move to a position of 7-6, and this is awesome for this team from Washington. Mr. Rivers completed a 34-yard pass to the famous Williams who was truly fast to be covered by any linebackers from the Redskins. Mr. Gordon just rushed to get a short game early in the game. Tyrell moved the sticks early in the game too. Ekeler did an amazing job right away, too. Mr. Perine got the important first carry for the team from Washington.

Mr. Coons gave the Chargers the first important points on the important opening drive his amazing football season. Mr. Gordon opened the drive with a short run. Henry did an amazing chain-moving reception in the early part of the game. Mr. Emanuel made a great interception when Williams broke up a pass from Cousins. In the second quarter, Perine did a great job by moving forward with an important 4-yard gain for the Skins. Jenkins had an outstanding coverage on Cousins when the latter tested a defense from his opponents. Rose missed the point after one attempt early in the game.

NFL 2017 Week 13: Los Angeles Chargers vs Cleveland Browns on Sunday, December 03, 4:05 PM, StubHub Center

The football match played by the Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Chargers, was filled with heat and aggression. The Los Angeles Chargers won with a lead of 19-10. Here, Travis Coons, featured as a new kicker listed his first win of this season and he performed off the charts. During the fourth quarter, Zane Gonzalez hit a field goal before the Browns managed to take a lead. The score at this instant was at 19-7.

The Browns have decent chances to hit the goal and call the touchdown but Adrian Phillip ended the game with perfection. Being an active member of the NFL, LA Chargers is not that charged since a long time. But after winning this match they got a good lead and courage to face more hurdles. In this match, they were hosting the Cleveland Browns and accepted the challenge to beat them.

NFL 2017 Week 12: Los Angeles Chargers at Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, November 23, 4:30 PM, AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys were total in management control mode by the defense of the Los Angeles. The rest tasks have to be completed by Philip Rivers, giving the Chargers a victory of 28-6. Rivers had three touchdowns in the second half and passed for four hundred and thirty-four yards. This includes a pass to Tyrell Williams for a twenty-seven yard, helping the Los Angeles to maintain a late lead of 16-0 in the 3rd quarter. Without a touchdown, the Dallas broke a ten-quarter drought early in the 4th time.

This occurred as Rod Smith the running back engineered a score. The touchdown from Smith took place from eighty-one yard and capped a 9-play. On the two-point conversion attempt, Dak Prescott, the Cowboys quarterback made an incomplete throw. This helped the Chargers to have a lead of 16-6 during the match. Midway through the 4th quarter, Dallas offensive errors continue to grow. Desmond King, the Los Angeles cornerback came back to complete an interception from a ninety-yard for a touchdown.

NFL 2017 Week 11: Los Angeles Chargers vs Buffalo Bills on Sunday, November 19, 4:05 PM, StubHub Center

Joey Bosa was seen around the Chargers locker room earlier this week. Other people seen were Jahleel Addae, Trevor Willians, Melvin Ingram and other secondary players. The match really featured rookie quarterbacks from both teams for a long time in the NFL champions. While the Buffalo Bills refuse to give rookie Nathan Peterman his premier National Football League start, they eventually paid bitterly from the hands of the Chargers. In the first half, the Chargers were able to intercept five solid passes. One of the Chargers interceptions was converted into a touchdown and forced the Bills into a 54-24 win. Since Miami performed the magic in 1973, the Chargers remain the premier team to have 5 interceptions in the first half.

In the second half, the Chargers were able to orchestrate 6 turnovers. This led to stripping quarterback Tyrod Taylor who replaced Peterman. Tyrod returned a fumbled that led to another defensive touchdown against his own team. This type of action was performed in 1990 to give a win over Tampa Bay. Ingram’s thirty-nine-yard fumble came back later in the 3rd quarter and Korey Toomer’s premier quarter fifty-yard interception return in the opening session. This occurred when the team’s 1st two defensive touchdowns of the season was recorded.

NFL 2017 Week 10: Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, November 12, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The month of November is always full of surprises in the United States NFL. Different teams that have been winning loose several games in this month, to some people it is a witched month. Days ago, all gods were against the Chargers. Many people had a prediction that the Chargers would win against Jaguars. The Chargers came to this match looking charged and fit. For instance, Denzel Perryman had already returned from injury and the Chargers seemed to have the benefit of shutting down Fournette Leonard in the defensive line.

Additionally, just like some other games that had been played in the season, many people expected that the presence of players such as Rivers Philips would make the team more offensive. However, it turned out that the team played a very defensive game. The Chargers had appeared to be improving and getting better after beating Oakland Raiders and New York Giants, but to the disappointment of their fans, the team lost 17-20 last Sunday. Apparently, the Chargers appeared to have been playing very well but their shaky mistakes cost them the match which was being played in front of the home fans. The Chargers management is expected to improve the tactics of the players so that they can stand out and manage to maintain victory and avoid making mistakes.

NFL 2017 Week 8: Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots on Sunday, October 29, 1:00 PM, Gillette Stadium

The Los Angeles Chargers were led by Philip Rivers. During the game, Tom Brady passed 333years and had a touchdown while Stephen Gostkowski made four goals making the New England Patriots beat Los Angeles by 21-13.The victory for the England Patriots was incredible as they had three-game wins against the Los Angeles Charges. Los Angeles lost the game when they were unable to move the ball offensively. In the second quarter of the game, the England Patriot’s Tom Brady had a 2-yard toss to Rob Gronkowski. They had a slight drift when they went 1 for 4 in the red zone but were saved by Gostkowki’s four goals.

The mistakes of the Los Angeles chargers were highlighted in the second quarter of the game. Benjamin recovered the ball and went to own goal line in an attempt to reverse the field but was tackled by New Englands Brandon King who took it to safety. During the game, Los Angeles Charger’s LB Hayes Pullard had a collision that made him leave the field during the fourth quarter of the game and also Chris Hogan had a shoulder injury from that collision with Pullard.

NFL 2017 Week 7: Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos on Sunday, October 22, 4:25 PM, StubHub Center

The Los Angeles Chargers made up for the season opening loss to the Denver Broncos with a dominant 21-0 victory. The spark of the day for the Chargers came in the form of wide receiver and return man Travis Benjamin as he made big plays throughout the day resulting in two touchdowns. Benjamin’s first touchdown came on a 65 yard punt return in the first quarter. This was followed by a 42 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Philip Rivers in the fourth quarter. The Charger’s other score came from a 1 yard pass from Rivers to Austin Ekeler in the second quarter.

The Denver Broncos, who have been struggling offensively as late, failed to solve their offensive problems. The Broncos faced multiple three and outs as the Chargers defense imposed their will and dominance. Quarterback Trevor Siemian was only able to gain 207 yards on 25 of 35 as he faced a hounding Chargers defense. The Broncos quarterback was sacked five times. C.J. Anderson had a respectable day on the ground for the Broncos, but the team was not able to stick with the run game due to falling behind by double digits.

NFL 2017 Week 6: Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders on Sunday, October 15, 4:25 PM, Oakland Coliseum

On Sunday, Nick missed his premier field goal. In the second instance, Nick tried very hard not to miss it. Nick sealed the Chargers 2nd victory of the season with less than 2 weeks after being removed from the free agency. From thirty-two yards away, it splits the south uprights at the Oakland-Alameda Center. The Chargers won the Raiders by 17-16 due to the field goal from Nick. This also marks the Chargers premier win in the AFC West encounter in almost three years. The win helped Novak to forget his first miss on target from an early forty-eight yard.

Novak way of playing the game caught the attention of the team two years ago. Nick was more favored over the then-rookie called Josh Lambo who remains a previous professional soccer goalkeeper. Just last month Lambo was more favored than Younhoe Koo the undrafted rookie, a previous Lou Groza award finalist. In the struggle for supremacy, the Chargers had a slight edge and won the game.

NFL 2017 Week 5: Los Angeles Chargers at New York Giants on Sunday, October 08, 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium

While Giants keep losing everything, the Chargers eventually had a victory. With 2:58 minutes to play, Melvin Gordon received a touchdown pass from Philip Rivers throw at ten-yards. This made the Chargers giggle for joy by winning 27-22 at the end of the game. This game was between two clubs that experience a loss of 0-4 in the earlier month of the season. The Giants losing this match makes it their 5th straight loss. Odell Beckham Jr. also had a broken and bad ankle during the match. Before the Chargers eventually had their touchdown, Beckham injury remains the worst thing that occurred.

The cornerback Casey Hayward pin Odell’s ankle while trying to catch a high Eli Manning pass. While in obvious pain, players signal the great injury of Beckham. This pass occurred when Kyle Emanuel had a forced fumble, sack, and recovery against his opponents at the Giants eleven-yard line. The problem also occurred when Odell was named the 4th Giants receiver that has been knocked out of the match. The Chargers dominated the game and made excellent uses of their opportunities while playing against Giants. Even if the win was not so huge, at least the Chargers had it in the bag.

NFL 2017 Week 4: Los Angeles Chargers vs Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 01, 4:05 PM, StubHub Center

While the Eagles may not be playing too far from home, the fans still followed them to the final destination. The Eagles has a slight win over the Chargers. The game appeared as if the Eagles were playing at home with the support of fans in every nook and corner of the playing area. As the game draws to an end and the Eagles were not giving the best, the fans chanted for them to leave and go home. The amazing thing about the match is the support of the fans that the Eagles had. Even people who have witnessed several times of seeing the Eagles play mentioned that nothing like this had occurred.

The road crowd was enthusiastic and huge to say the least. The younger players of the Eagles later understood that they can have the backing of fans even while far from home. The kind of game will help to build the spirit of the Eagles’ fan base. Taking first place in the NFC East, the Eagles moved on with 3-1 and becoming a contender in the conference. Last season, it was difficult for the Eagles to win close games in a contest. Today, they are among the best that have won matches on the road. This is a huge improvement on the path of the Eagles in the 2017 session. You can keep checking them out.

NFL 2017 Week 3: Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, September 24, 4:25 PM, StubHub Center

The Chiefs beat the Chargers by 24-10 on Sunday at the StubHub Center. This makes the Chargers to now fall to 0-3 for the reason. Philip Rivers a quarterback was able to throw around 3 for the premier half interceptions. This helps to increase the tally from seventeen of the Chief’s twenty-four points. Kareem Hunt, the Chief’s rookie complete the match with one hundred and seventy-two rushing yards on seventeen carries and a touchdown. On the match’s premier possession, Rivers was interrupted by Terrance Mitchell, the Chief’s cornerback. This occurred at the Chargers’ forty-three-yard line. After Cairo Santos additional point, Alex Smith linked to a speedy receiver called Tyreek Hill on a thirty-yard touchdown hit to make the score 7-0. The second possession of the Los Angeles is just like the first move.

In many drives, Rivers was able to throw his second interception to Marcus Peters. Albert Wilson received a 6-yard shovel pass from Smith to increase the tally to 14-0. With a nine-play, the Chargers provided an answer to the action. This was about eighty-nine-yard drive fixed off by an eleven-yard touchdown run by Melvin Gordon. After the first quarter, Los Angeles Charged trailed at 14-7. On fifteen carries, Gordon pushed for seventy-eight yards in the first half. The game eventually ended in favor of the Chiefs as a clear winner of the match. The Chiefs merit the win in every ramification.

NFL 2017 Week 2: Los Angeles Chargers vs Miami Dolphins on Sunday, September 17, 4:05 PM, StubHub Center

The Dolphins believed they won the game for the hurricane-ravaged state of Florida. This belated season opener game is a joy to the Miami Dolphins after coming from a devastating hurricane Irma. From fifty-four yards, Cody Parkey strikes his 4th field goal. In the fourth quarter, the Dolphins gained more enrgy to defeat the Chargers with a 19-17 score. With five seconds left, Younghoe Koo lost a 44-yard goal. Philip Rivers manage and turn the tides against the Chargers 0-2 in the final minute.

In the first home game of the Dolphins prior to relocating to the LA area, the 25,381 crowded fans shouted for joy. Jay Ajayi rushed for one hundred and twenty-two yards for the Dolphins while Jay Cutler passed for 230 yards. Jay Ajayi spent the previous nine days in CA after leaving Miami for flooding problem. After the home opener against Tampa Bay was shifted, the Dolphins were well-rested, leaving the team to play its current season opener since 1977. Most of the scoring on the Dolphin’s side was done by Parkey, connecting from 35, 28 and 30 yards prior to burying his biggest kick in the most nagging moments. Maybe fans can conclude the hurricane Irma brought some luck to the side of the Dolphins.

NFL 2017 Week 1: Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos on Monday, September 11, 10:20 PM, Sports Authority Field@Mile High

The Los Angeles Chargers will be meeting the Denver Broncos for the 115th regular season. The leading series for the Broncos remain 63-50-1. When representing Los Angeles, the Chargers will play at Denver with strength for the first time ever since 1960. Just like the season opener in 1994, a couple of games between these teams almost unleash the same rhythm. This remains the period when the Chargers drove to their lone Super Bowl. The game set the pace when the Charge came from 24-6 down. Thanks to the likes of Stanley Richard who dropped an interception of ninety-nine years to score prior to the halftime. While John Elway fumbled in the last second, the Chargers won the game when Junior Seau recovered. The game will feature new coaches with Anthony Lynn for the Charges and Vance Joseph for the Broncos. The winner of the game can be determined with the help of an old storyline. What team will win at the line of scrimmage? On the defensive line, the Broncos will introduce four new starters. This includes Menelik Warson and Garrett Bolles. This means that the Broncos will make it difficult for the Chargers pass rushers such as Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 4: Los Angeles Chargers at San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, August 31, 10:00 PM, Levis Stadium

On the night of Thursday 31st August, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Los Angeles Chargers 23-13 at the Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California. The highlight of the match was a surprising 62-yard touchdown run by 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard. The 49ers targeted him as the player they wanted in the NFL draft due to his experience as a pocket passer. He proved that he can also do some damage using his legs. Beathard was drafted by the Niners in the third round, and he went on to justify the move by recording a 107.7 passer rating during the pre-season. The run is probably his most memorable play so far.

The way Beathard has been playing this pre-season has been the bright spot for the Niners. He has even outperformed veteran Matt Barkey, and is likely to go into the season as a backup for Brian Hoyer. He has the potential to even become a starter as the season progresses. The Los Angeles Chargers used this final pre-season game to access their third-string quarterback. Cardale Jones managed to start while backup Kellen Clemens and Phillip Rivers were rested. Jones finished the game 14-for-19 for 134 yards, and led the team to a field goal in first-half drives.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 3: Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, August 26, 8:00 PM, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Innumerable responses have been given after the game ended in Los Angeles. Los Angeles Charges strived hard in winning this battle but ended up hearing a negative feedback by viewers. Few declared that Los Angeles Rams have no good players left and it is the Chargers who deserve the LA but few defended this statement by quoting the player Aoran Donald. But if the two teams are to be compared then both of them have good players but the question is how many? Rivers and Gordon & Donald and Gurley. These two players in both teams. Bill’s mistake of trading Cardale Jones away was high lightened. Chargers who lost by 15 points in the recent game played hard. The most discussed or critiqued player, Cardale Jones was the center of attention for the viewers. The game was played between the Chargers and Rams.

However, the Chargers were the ones who were being discouraged. Rams were neither impressive in this week 3 match. The NFL site showed an offensive breakdown graph that compared the passing yards and rushing yards on the axis. The graph showed, however, a downward trend, not depicting any positive change.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 2: Los Angeles Chargers vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, August 20, 8:00 PM, StubHub Center

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 13 – 7 in the second preseason game for both teams. The Saints took a 10 point lead in the first quarter and added a field goal in the fourth quarter. San Diego’s touchdown was scored on a 99 yard pick six by Dexter McColl off Ryan Nassib. The win was the first win for the Saints in 11 preseason games extending over 3 seasons.

Leading the Saints defense was Manti T’eo with a fumble recovery, a quarterback sack and 8 tackles. T’eo played for the Chargers the last four seasons. The star of on offense for the Chargers was the rookie running back from Tennessee, Alvin Kamara, who scored on a 50 yard run on the Saints first offensive play of the game. Kamara rushed for 96 yards on 9 carries.

The Saints defense was the dominant unit on the field with 8 quarterback sacks and finished the game with two consecutive sacks and then an interception.

Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson and Mark Ingrahm all sat the game out for New Orleans. Chase Daniel played quarterback in the first half; Ryan Nassib and Garrett Grayson in the second half for the Saints.

For the Chargers, Philip Rivers did not play. Kellen Clemens and Cardale Jones played quarterback but were constantly harried and pressured. The blocking for the Chargers was very poor as evidenced by the 8 sacks which inhibited offensive production. The Chargers offense is yet to score in two games and is averaging just 2.7 yards per rushing attempt.

The bright spot for the Chargers besides McColl’s interception for a touchdown was the play of fifth round draft pick from Iowa, Desmond King, who contributed three big plays on third downs: a sack, a pass break up and tackle that prevented the Saints from converting a first down. The Chargers need to improve significantly if they hope to attract more fans in their new home of Los Angeles.

NFL Preseason 2017 Week 1: Los Angeles Chargers vs Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, August 13, 8:00 PM, StubHub Center

The Seahawks really humiliated the Los Angeles Chargers. 48-17! This first game at StuHub didn’t augur well for the Chargers. No fan will ever forget the poor decisions that marked the play. They only have to long for the next game. Some however still shined. Phillip Rivers managed to deliver balls with good accuracy. Though greatly tackled, he throughout remained upright. Desmond King played really well, and was just all over the field. He is proving what the Chargers opinion of him was when they selected him.

Damion Square shined on Boykin and almost missed a sack, but was rescued by Tenny Palepoi. Damion has begun to stand out as a reliable defensive liner. The most evident losers were the backup quarterbacks of the Los Angeles Charger. I dare call it terrible. Travis Benjamin and Kellen Clemens were both brutal in play. Also Cardale Jones proved no better. Mike Bercovici came in late but also didn’t have much to offer. Denzel Perryman suffered ankle injury and thus has been suspended for a whole 6 weeks.

Both Chris Hairston and Tyreek Burwell played poorly. Seattle’s ends were much pressured almost throughout the game. Andre Williams also didn’t impress by his playing. Michael Davis was attacked constantly by the Seahawks and could not counterattack. This will sure keep him on his toes for the rest of the preseason.

San Diego Chargers NFL season 2016 recap

The San Diego Chargers ended their season with a 5-11 record, placing 4th in the AFC West division. Veteran quarterback, Philip Rivers, had a decent year, becoming the Chargers all-time passing yards leader in their game against the Denver Broncos, but unfortunately, he had the most interceptions in the league with 37 of them. For the 7th time in the past 8 years, the Chargers missed their shot at the play-offs. During week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Chargers were getting beat by the end of the first half but they managed to rally up the team and come back to tie up the score to 30-30, pushing the game into overtime. Thanks to kicker Josh Lambo’s 42-yard field-goal, the Chargers earned their second win all-time win against the Falcons.

The Chargers ended their season with a total of 4198 passing yards, 1510 rushing yards, and 4386 receiving yards with a 81.3 percent field-goal completion rate . Their defense had total of 1011 tackles (35 sacks), 18 interceptions, 10 fumbles recovered, and a 5 touchdowns on their end. They also managed 333 first downs, 85 third downs, and 14 fourth downs. Overall, it was not a great year for the Chargers, hopefully next year’s season will their time to shine.

NFL 2016 Week 17: San Diego Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, January 01, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers was a clash of the year in the last NFL week. Both teams had a showcase of their best and worst, although the visitors took home the victory. The Kansas Boys placed a strategic Alex Smith who was very active in making goals for the team. Another remarkable performance was from C. West who seemed to grace the rushing and receivership yard percentages. At the start if the match, San Diego showed a great performance as Josh Lambo created scored a 3-yard goal to open the scoreboard for the day.

However, the equalizing score by Alex Smith in the second quarter was a great comeback for the City team. Since the game faired inn game possession, the tactical approach of the teams determined the scores. At the last quarter of the game, Josh Lambo seemed to rejuvenate his tact as he sought to reduce the 34-17 defeat to the opponents. To seal up the lead, Cairo Santos drove in a 37-yard field goal while Hunter Henry gave the hosts a 7-point score to end the match at 37-27. Although the Chargers showed increased performance and skills, the attacking team had little to show. The defense wall for the Chiefs kept most of the passes under containment.

NFL 2016 Week 16: San Diego Chargers at Cleveland Browns on Saturday, December 24, 1:00 PM, FirstEnergy Stadium

It had been over a year (377 days to be precise) since the Cleveland Browns ever won a game but on the eve of Christmas, Santa smiled on them as they beat the San Diego Chargers 20-17. They had suffered 14 losses this season without a single win (now 1-14). The team, the coach and the fans could now enjoy Christmas with a smile on their faces. The Chargers lost their fourth consecutive match with their stats currently at 5-10. By the third quarter, the Browns had a 10-point lead and kept it to the very end. Among the notable players who aided in the win is Isaiah Crowell who has 2 touchdown runs.

A little help also came from the Chargers. With a few seconds remaining on the clock for instance, the Chargers Josh Lambo missed a field goal attempt. He regretted his move very much though. Just after the failed field goal attempt by the San Diego team time elapsed and the small Browns’ crowd erupted in celebration. The players on field poured off their sideline. It was just as their coach described, “Finally getting that win is definitely amazing. You don’t want to say it was like our Super Bowl but it really was.” He was very ecstatic that the team will not join the list of shame of teams that went home 0-16 after an entire season.

NFL 2016 Week 15: San Diego Chargers vs Oakland Raiders on Sunday, December 18, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

Oakland Raiders versus Sandiego Chargers was a great match. The silver and Black are back in the playoffs. Oakland Raiders are back again NFL, officially clinching a great spot in the play offs with their 19-16 win over the San Diego Chargers. The Head coach Jack Del Rios is back and they also have two games left to play.

The offensive line for Sandiego had a problem protecting Rivers, who is sacked in thirty-three times this season. The offensive line for Raiders has done excellent job protecting Derek this year who is sacked only thirteen times.

In the waning minutes of the game, the Chargers had backed up right in front of their end zone. The Raiders defense asked for noise form the crowd and the fans responded well. This is not something that is often seen. The Raider nation was so proud at Qualcomm Stadium and their impact was felt throughout the game.

The Raiders week 15 win, combined with Kansas City loss to the Tennessee means that the Silver and Black are back at the top of AFC west. With the two games that are left in the regular season, there is still a bit left for the team to accomplish. The coach was happy with the team because clinching on the top is something worth celebration.

NFL 2016 Week 14: San Diego Chargers at Carolina Panthers on Sunday, December 11, 1:00 PM, Bank of America Stadium

The Panthers made a 28-16 triumph over the San Diego. This was a much needed outcome for them as they had suffered several consecutive losses in the previous games. Graham had the opportunity to kick start 4 field goals that enabled the Panthers to benefit from a good defense in the 1st half.

The Carolina Panthers won in spite of the inconsistent excursion from Newton, who finished ten of twenty seven passes for 160-yards. At this point Rivers finished a nineteen yard touchdown to D. Inman in the third quarter and 26-16 in the lead. The Chargers on the other hand had scored on a 3 consecutive possessions.

After a 3 and out play the Carolina gave the ball back to the Chargers, The Panthers linebacker Thompson went before a pass planned for Gates. It seemed the Panthers would go in to secure a score, but T. Reed ran before Newton to intercept Kelvin’s pass at the goal line. He drove the ball for a touchdown that was over-turned on replay and the Chargers were ninety seven yards away and down 10 in the first half.

New kid on the block corner-back D. Worley made an intercept on Rivers on the 1st play of the 2nd quarter. That prompted to an 8 play, fifty eight yard touchdown drive with Newton tossing 6 yards to Funchess, a receiver for the score.

NFL 2016 Week 13: San Diego Chargers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, December 04, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

It has been noted that Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been playing the best football this season with the aim of extending their winning streak in four games including the match they had to play with San Diego Chargers. For them, this meant to contain the NFL number 4 scoring offensive and number 5 passing game with the help of Philip Rivers, their quarterback. Phillip was able to have more than 20 touchdowns in specific he had 23 touchdowns though he missed top targets this year. Many fans view him as a guy who is very accurate, has an incredible touch, a good player and has strong nails.

Tampa Bay was alive for a one final game of South-leading Atlanta and a half-game which was behind Washington. San Diego, on the other hand, was in a tougher position as they were at the bottom of AFC West. The Bucs have only won while in San Diego only once which was in 1996 with a score of 25-27. As years go by, the Bucs are getting better though they face a series of bumps in the road.

According to Mike Evans, he sees the Bucs heading in the right direction as they continue to their season as they are tied with Atlanta Falcons after winning four straight games consecutively. In a match that was played by Bucs and San Diego Chargers this weekend, the Bucs were able to defeat the Charges with a win of 28-21 which proved that in deed the Bucs are heading in the right direct and are becoming better.

NFL 2016 Week 12: San Diego Chargers at Houston Texans on Sunday, November 27, 1:00 PM, NRG Stadium

Houston Texans had earlier lost to Oakland, perhaps they were destabilized due to the loss and could not put themselves together to face San Diego Chargers and hence another loss occurred. Texans had only gotten near wins even in their home, even though they have not lost in five games this season. Chargers led Texans with 21-13 scores in the match that held on November 27, 10am PT (1am ET) at the NRG Stadium, Houston Texas. Brock Osweiler, the quarterback player, for Texans has received major focus for the offense due to his obvious unpredictability.

A large part of the loss against Chargers can be attributed to Osweiler and fans have expressed how discontented they are primarily with Osweiler. Texans is set to face Indianapolis and would have to put in their best in order to win the second place. Chargers also has its own offense and in fact Chargers’ offense in the NFL league is ranked seventh and its average point in the league is 29.2, the second rank in the league. The sad part of it is not really that Texans lost but that they lost in their home.

NFL 2016 Week 10: San Diego Chargers vs Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 13, 4:05 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

Kiko Alonso was the new hero of the Dolphins team. He refuses to lose the match. The dolphins intercepted Philip Rivers, raced 60 yards with 1:01 minutes remaining, and lifting Miami 31-24 in the game. The Dolphins were riding first four streaks since 2008. That was the only time they made their playoffs during the last fifteen years. The score was stuck at 24. The time left was 73 seconds on the clock. Josh Lambo played a realistic shot, cause the team to win. That was the winning kick. Williams lined up and ran a low post. That was the River’s primary target.

The winning team were in cover 4. Alonso peeled off before the snap. That was a long distance, he had to cover 60 yards, Tyrell chased him all the way. He became unable to catch Alonso, allowing him, to goal. He earned it. He played very well in the league. Rivers obliged for his fourth interception from scrimmage. He tried to push the ball to Williams, intercepted by Lippett and that was the second pick of Lippett, a sweet redemption taken to the limit. Dolphins gave many chances to the Rivers, but they could not use them. That was the dancing time for Dolphins.

NFL 2016 Week 9: San Diego Chargers vs Tennessee Titans on Sunday, November 06, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

Sunday was another day of high-scoring match-up between the San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans at San Diego. The end result was a 43-35 win for the home boys. Chargers took off to a quick start through a Gates’ touchdown in the first period and summed it up with a field goal from Lambo in the final minute of the period.

Melvin Gordon took the first nap in the second period from a Phillip Rivers shotgun, bursting through a tiny space in front of him. Gordon then cut past the line of scrimmage and to the left setting Tyrell Williams for a three-yard touchdown. Mariota then followed with a 20-yard toss to Walker on 1st-and-10 as Murray and Andrews teamed up for a TD and Ingram got a call for an unsportsmanlike head-butt.

Titans started a drill with a big pick up by Wright and kept churning out yards and Sharpe met a big throw in the 10-yard line. Mathews then beat McCoil for an easy touchdown reducing Chargers’ lead from 16 point to 5 at half time.

The third period was more of a Gordon and Murray affair. Gordon got in the 1 and on 3rd and goal, Rivers was sacked and Titans gifted them another penalty. Gordon punched it in for six points. Bosa had consecutive penalties before Murray broke a long run from Titans. Mariota fumbled on a run and Dwight Lowery scooped and scored.

The fourth quarter saw San Diego restore an eight-point lead through Josh Lambo’s field goal. Murray maintained his hot form and ran it in for a six from the 1 after defensive pass interference in the end zone. The icing of the game came from Gordon’s rush for the 1st picking up 47 yards.

NFL 2016 Week 8: San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos on Sunday, October 30, 3:05 PM, Sports Authority Field

The San Diego Chargers held up a fairly good defense in their match against the Denver Broncos, but ultimately fell short with the Broncos winning 27-19. Only seventeen days prior, the Chargers had seen success against Denver on Sunday – the Broncos pushed hard to avenge that loss, mind you, though many fans agree that the AFC West remains one of the toughest divisions in football, even midway through the season.

Fans of the Broncos are still groaning a bit, noting that the team still seems to be having the same difficulties as the 2015 Broncos line-up, but with their consistent victories, hope is holding strong. The Chargers have their own problems as well, however they are still holding strong in the AFC West in general. This game was a spectacle of both the problems of either team as well as how the AFC West is performing this season, and the match itself was undoubtedly heated. The Broncos did all they could to snag victory from the Chargers, keeping pressure on their defense throughout the game.

Both the Broncos and Chargers will need more decisive victories as the season continues, and fans on both sides are hoping for wins to follow.

NFL 2016 Week 7: San Diego Chargers at Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, October 23, 4:05 PM, Georgia Dome

This week’s action between the San Diego Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons was not left out in the large series of super-actions. The San Diego buddies were able to thrash the hosts a commendable win of 33-30. It was game that was packed with exhilarating experiences that made the crowd go crazy after every few minutes of gameplay. The players were fight hard to ensure that they make their head coach proud but finally the odds fell on the visitors’ side.

The game had begun on a very high note that was very inauspicious. The falcons had not given up their traditional defense systems that have a tendency of giving up easy and cheap touchdowns form the opponents in the first drive. Their offensive tactics were also relatively slow in the first quarter. However they managed to earn some field goals. In fact, the Falcons were already trailing ahead of the Chargers 7-6 before heading to the second quarter.

By overtime, the game was completely on the side of the Chargers and the Chargers kicker, Lambo Josh was able to strike the winning gal that ensured that the Falcons suffered their third defeat in the season.

NFL 2016 Week 6: San Diego Chargers vs Denver Broncos on Thursday, October 13, 8:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

The Denver Broncos started off the season on a good note with wins against the Panthers, Colts, Bengals and the Buccaneers. Coming into the game against the San Diego Chargers, they had one loss to the Falcons and were sitting pretty at 4-1. Their loss to the Chargers was the second loss this season and it snapped them off their winning streak. The chargers have been struggling this season having lost their opening game against the Chief, winning against the Jaguars and losing three consecutive games after that. Coming into this game they were sitting at a 1-4 record and needed a win badly.

The Chargers made their intentions to win early with Phillip Rivers throwing a 5-yard pass to rookie Hunter Henry to cap the team’s first possession. Rivers who is in his 13th season at the Chargers has made 43,094 yards passing surpassing Hall of Famer’s Dan Fouts record of 43,040 yards record in 15 seasons. Josh Lambo scored four field goals at 37, 21, 31 and 32 yards and a safety ball which was for him his career high since he has been with the Chargers.

The Broncos had a harder time at the start of the game. Trevor Siemian returned as quarterback after sitting out of games for more than a week. The quarterback was 30 of 49 for 230, scoring one touchdown and two sacks. They struggled to get yardage for the offensive line and the defense seemed to be out of sync. The game was painful to watch for a lot of Broncos fans as they made one mistake after another giving the chargers free yards and free points. All the late starts, the sluggish play, and unnecessary mistakes cost the Broncos to lose to the chargers by 21-13 effectively losing their reign as AFC’s Western Champs.

NFL 2016 Week 5: San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders on Sunday, October 09, 4:25 PM, Oakland Coliseum

With all the chances favoring the Raiders, many people expected a clear Chargers’ defeat, but it did not happen that way. Oakland could have finished with more yards but wasted most of their chances looking for field goals all the way through the first half. The Chargers finished with a 10-9 first half lead over Raiders who were struggling to escape the red zone. Before the Sunday’s game, Oakland scored touchdowns on their 10 red zone attempts. Unlike their previous games, the Raiders ended the match strongly after a weak start. Michael Crabtree made an outstanding contribution, while quarterback Derek Carr at long last released the jitters and scored with better accuracy. Nevertheless, the secondary handed over chunk plays during the contest.

At the start of second half, the Chargers created their usual fourth-quarter slide, whereas the Raiders took advantage of the miscues. The offense made 17 scores unreciprocated points in the third and fourth quarters. Drew Kaser, the Chargers’ punter then messed up the snap on a prospective game-tying goal, which gave the Raiders a chance to pause. Oakland misused many chances in the first half of the game and committed unexpected mistakes. However, the attack kept on firing, and the NFL team made more chances than the opponent and they ended with a victory.

NFL 2016 Week 4: San Diego Chargers vs New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 02, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

The New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers had a tight game that ended with a comeback win by the Saints with a very close score of 35-34. This was the Saints’ first win of the season at the Qualcom Stadium. This however was not an easy win for the Saints with the Chargers having taken possession in the fourth quarter after a Punt by the Saints. But a mistake made by the Chargers’ Melvin Gordon gave the New Orleans side the ball. Drew Bree took advantage of the chance and used to chance to throw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Michael Thomas who made the score to stand at 34-28 in favour of the Saints with less than five minutes left on the clock.

The Chargers then took possession of the ball and though the Travis Benjamin was hit and fumbled linebacker Nate Stupar saved him at the 25-yard line. For the final score of the game, John Kuhn made his third score in the match with less than two minutes left. This was a 1-yard touchdown. The final move was by the Saints’ B.W. Webb who intercepted San Diego’s River with only 1 minute and 10 second left to the end of the game.

NFL 2016 Week 3: San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 25, 4:25 PM, Lucas Oil Stadium

San Diego Chargers faced off the Indianapolis Colts in a once in a life time match. The match was fierce and fast paced giving the fans a great experience they will remember forever. One of the outstanding moments was Chargers completing a four-yard pass and then taking a five-yard penalty. Minutes in the game, Ferguson gained nine yards and it was an indication of a great game from the start. The Colts had an outstanding defense which is part of the reason they won. One of Colt’s key players Gordon had 28 yard on 14 carries.

Henry Anderson was in great pressure and unfortunately forced a quick pass from Rivers which luckily fell incomplete. Another game changing moment was when Travis Benjamin, who has unfortunately dropped all passes in the season, hauls in an incredible 43-yard pass from Rivers. It is easy to note that T.Y. McGill has being inactive throughout the season and it was no wonder he was benched in favor of Zach Kerr and Anderson. Zach Kerr was on top of his game last week and he amassed five tackles, two quarterback hits and one sack. The game ended with a score of Colt 26, Charger 22.

NFL 2016 Week 2: San Diego Chargers vs Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 18, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

In their home opener on Sunday, the San Diego Chargers beat the mistake-prone Jacksonville Jaguars 38-14 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Reeling from a loss in last week’s season-opener at Kansas City, the Chargers feasted on the Jaguars for their 5th consecutive meeting. Quarterback Philip Rivers tied his career-high with 4 touchdown passes, which included two to Travis Benjamin, completing over 70% of his passes and no interceptions. Running back Melvin Gordon had his first 100-yard match of his career. The defense kept Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) out of the end-zone until the fourth quarter.

Five seconds into the second-Quarter, the San Diego Chargers had a 14-0 lead. Just over 5 minutes into the 2nd Quarter, the Chargers led by 3 touchdowns and never looked back. And unlike a week earlier, the Chargers didn’t turn a 3-touchdown lead into a soul crushing loss. They continued to add on. Outside of a knee injury to running back Danny Woodhead, there wasn’t a single moment of anxiety, anger, or angst for San Diego fans, players, or coaches. Actually, things got so out-of-hand that the Chargers were playing their 2nd string team in the fourth Quarter.

Jacksonville started 0-2 for the 4th time in five seasons. They only crossed midfield 6 times, with Bortles committing 3 turnovers. The Jaguars delivered a performance rife with many errors. The team players were flagged 13 times for 93-yards. The offense stayed relatively healthy & effective, making it seem easy driving down-field on their first game possession. Running back Melvin Gordon capped-off the 8-play, 75 yard drive with a touch-down to make it 7-0 lead early in the 1st quarter. The defense started out strong as well. What can be taken away from this match? Well, the San Diego Chargers have been spectacular for 6 of the 8 quarters they have played of regular season football in 2016. What could be San Diego final home-opener drew only 52,165-fans at 72,000 seat Qualcomm Stadium.

NFL 2016 Week 1: San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, September 11, 1:00 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

The match was held in Kansas city, Missouri on 11 of September. In this no surprise Kansas city chiefs emerge as victorious over the San Diego Chargers by 33-27. As for the last 3 times they have been victorious. This time the Chiefs worked a lot on their defense. Previous time Chiefs defense easily gives San Diego 5 points. The Chargers were playing a good game and it was looking like they would surprise the crowd, but the Chargers blew everything afterwards by giving away a 21 point lead. Melvin Gordon had 14 carries for 57 yards, an average of 4.1 yards per carry, and 2 TDs.

The injury to Keenam Allen seemed to be turning the game difficult for the Chargers. The way the chargers’ defensive line played previously was encouraging and it was good to see that Brandon Mebane is in good form, taking almost half of the snaps. However the play previously shown was declined and worst to see as the game went for teh Chargers. Dwight Lowery played all defensive snaps, which shows that how exhausted they looked out there. Lowery’s skill set is a whole different thing, but having him out on every snap certainly did not help.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 4: San Diego Chargers vs San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, September 01, 10:00 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

The final preseason NFL game between San Francisco 49ers at San Diego Chargers saw the 49ers winning it in style against the Chargers. In a game where the coaches had to decide their best squad for the season, the match was even poised at times. But, in the end, the 49ers turned out to be far superior.

The first quarter was all about 9-yard pass play for the 49ers. They were able to pass without any major interceptions in the midfield. The first quarter was crucial for the 49ers because they managed to take a 6-0 lead early in the game. Rashard Robinson, the rookie from the 49ers impressed the coach a lot along with Shayne Skov and Michael Wilhoite. The second quarter was more of an even game with the home team getting a slender lead of 7-6. Phil Dawson scored an amazing 32-yard field goal just on the brink of half time.

The third and last quarter belong completely to the 49ers. Robinson, Blake Bell and Adrian McDonald intercepted any fruitful pass of the Rangers and soon they were leading the game 21-9. The Rangers could not make up for the points in the last quarter. There were many notable performances from the rookie players in the game and both the coaches would be happy to see the upcoming players making a mark in such crucial games.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 3: San Diego Chargers at Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, August 28, 1:00 PM, U.S. Bank Stadium

The Vikings started with a fast down pass for Stefon Diggs.Hes was well covered by a 45-yard run by Jerick McKinnon right through the line.

Teddy Bridgewater proved his abilities by getting 3 out of the 5 possessions Minnesota acquired in the first half. Trae Waynes hooked up with Harrison Smith to make one of the best interceptions for the first half. This saw Vikings picking up for the game.

Badger made the first touchdown for the Vikings in their new stadium. Bridgewater continued his surprises by making 161 yards with a touchdown in the first half.

Although Laquon Treadwell managed just one reception for day, he pushed Vikings to the top. He helped Vikings get a 20-10 lead during the third quarter from his two-point conversion.

Rudolph was not left out for the day’s struggle. He pulled up for a touchdown against San Diego. However, all in all during the second quarter the Chargers made a goal. They managed a 23-10 lose art US Bank Stadium.

Vikings will be taking Los Angeles in their next preseason encounter.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 2: San Diego Chargers vs Arizona Cardinals on Friday, August 19, 9:00 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

San Diego Chargers and their defensive tactic paid off as they crushed Arizona Cardinals 19-3. Even though offensive game of Cardinals lead them to a short lead; keeping of the corners on the side of Chargers, followed by a good game of R. Mathews helped Chargers to get a little bit redemption after giving up nearly 300 rushing yards last week.

The defense of the Chargers started really fast and from the beginning they were dominant on defense and their aggressive game rallied to the football. Worth mentioning is the play of Brandon Williams, an undrafted rookie who finished with four receptions for 55 yards on six targets in the second half.

The play of kicker Josh Lambo and his four offensive field goals to peace Chargers made him a key player. Clemens was 11 of 20 for 134 yards and to compare it with Palmer on the side of cardinals, who finished 4 of 8 for 37 yards, with one interception; we can see that result of the game was not so unexpected. This game was the 22nd time the Chargers faced Arizona in a preseason and San Diego is holding 13-9 edge in the series.

NFL Preseason 2016 Week 1: San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans on Saturday, August 13, 8:00 PM, Nissan Stadium

San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans was another very big game in the NFL preseason opener. The Titans who began the game on offensive moves in which the earlier two calls were made by the rightful fans who had paid for, indicates the ability to dominate. They team up so rapidly to ensure that they gain the opponents ground during the early minutes of the game.

However that did not mean that the Chargers were worried or frightened by these moves. If you cannot identify the ability they showed to tell they can still be on top of the game. Melvin Gordon was not left behind to show the best plays in his career. He made moves that were very impressive to the fans and marked significance in the entire game.

Every player on the field had purposed to ensure that they show to their fans the importance of them on the field holding on the team’s name. This was a clear indication that this season has so much in store. Even though the Titans were better than the Chargers by the end of the last whistle. Both teams showed that they deserve the title by the end of the season.

NFL 2015 Week 17: San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos on Sunday, January 03, 4:25 PM, Sports Authority Field at Mile High

Its not uncommon for NFL teams to slack off towards the end of the season and we tend to see this with teams who have already made the playoffs. However, this past Sunday, we were presented with two games the left viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.

Brock Osweiler has had a lot of success with the Broncos in his rookie season, and this trend continued during the first half of Sunday’s game. Osweiler was able to assist his team to a 7-6 lead at halftime. However, this was also the first week Peyton Manning was on the active roster since his injury during the early season. Bronco’s fans were skeptical whether or not they’d see Manning play, or if Osweiler would remain in control. Their questions were answered in the 3rd quarter when Manning was subbed in after Osweiler committed a few turnovers.

Manning seemed to be in impeccable form and helped guide his team to four scoring drives within the last 20 minutes of the game. Manning not only helped his team score 20 points to win the game 27-20, but he also led his team to the #1 seed in the AFC playoffs. This is huge seeing as they get an extra week to rest before their next game. All in all, the Chargers were able to put up a good fight, even if their playoff hopes had already been squandered.

It was nice to see them playing to win and playing for their San Diego fans since this might be the last season before they move to Los Angeles. In the end it was not enough to match the Broncos who await their next opponent in two weeks.

NFL 2015 Week 16: San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders on Thursday, December 24, 8:25 PM, O.co Coliseum

It was all celebration for the Raiders when Philip Rivers’ last pass failed to get to Charles Woodson. It was not really a game that had all the energy that a Raiders’ game normally has but this was also Woodson’s last game on the Raiders’ field and the victory was a welcome for him. The San Diego Chargers were sopped by the Raiders defense which meant a victory for the Raiders with Sebastian Janikowski kicking a 31-yard field goal that was in overtime. This meant that the Raiders won by 23 – 20 in a game that was not really good.

The Raiders victory came despite having 16 penalties 5 of which came while on their overtime drive. This also saw them get their only touchdown of the second half that was on a 3 yard touchdown drive. The chargers however were unable to actually muster their first down which led to this loss being their seventh straight in the division game. The Raiders defense gave the team a reason to march on for the most of the game but the offense just lacked what it took. Though lacking a lot, the game was generally okay and I was nice to see Woodward play his last game in Oakland.

NFL 2015 Week 15: San Diego Chargers vs Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 20, 4:25 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

In what could be the San Diego Chargers’ last NFL game in Sandiego, it concluded well after the San Diego Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins 30-14. Danny was the hero of the special day after scoring 4 touchdowns and receiving 3 touchdown passes from Philip Rivers. If the move pushes through, the Chargers will now be moving to Los Angeles. The planned move has disappointed some fans and it reflected on their signs. However after playing a game like that, a lot of fans were happy because what could possibly be the last game of the Chargers ended well. It was a nice way to cap off 55 years of memories.

The Chargers played strong early on as fans gave them a standing ovation at the half after putting up a 23-0 halftime lead. Lost in the emotion was that the Chargers played better than they did in failing to score a touchdown in three of their last four games, including in each of their last two home games. The Miami Dolphins just didn’t seem to be in it as they played both sides of the ball horribly. During the fourth quarter a video tribute was played for Malcom Floyd who was retiring after playing twelve gruelling seasons with the San Diego Chargers. After the game was done, it was closed off with Jackson Browne’s ”Stay” and even ”Auld Lang Syne” played on the sound system.

NFL 2015 Week 14: San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, December 13, 1:00 PM, Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs saw their reliance again on their defense to grab another victory against the Chargers with just a 3 – 10 win. This takes the Chiefs to six games all win and this puts them right in the mix for playoff contention. They literally shut down San Diego Chargers most of the game and this is what proved o be the deciding factor in the game. Phillip Rivers had two incomplete passes in the dying seconds of the game near the goal line that actually meant that the Chiefs hang on to the victory.

The Chiefs (8 – 5) have actually made it almost impossible for any team to get into the end zone. This was highly evidenced in this game which could prove to be a playoff spot for the Chiefs who have somehow earned it. Melvin Gordon gave what can only be termed as a dismal performance yet again following this loss. Overall, I wasn’t a bad game and amid all the cheering from the crowd, you could tell that the game was a really good one and everyone enjoyed himself. Now it is time fro the teams to forget this and focus on the next one and hope that the playoffs which can be a wild card will work in their favor.

NFL 2015 Week 13: San Diego Chargers vs Denver Broncos on Sunday, December 06, 4:05 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

It seems that Broncos were too welcomed in San Diego given who easily they smashed the Chargers with 17-3.

Chargers defensive coordinator John Pagano was wright to be concerned about Osweiler and should’ve worked harder with Mick McCoy to stop him and come up with more effective defensive then a patchwork offensive line.

Demaryius Thomas received a 3-yard touchdown from Osweiler on the game opening drive and Danny Trevathan interception on Philip Rivers and returning it at 25 yards brought them a score to lead the broncos to victory.

Being this a home game you might expect at least a touchdown from the Chargers, but it’s now a second home game without one, which is not looking good for them.

C.J. Anderson run 22-yards and gave 21-yard pass to Thomas. And Osweild found Thomas wide open in the end zone. Proving that the Broncos had more superior game play.

Maybe it is the stress from moving the team, given that this might have been the penultimate Chargers game in San Diego that contributed to their poor game or because Coach Mike McCoy, 21-23 in three seasons, has not been offered an extension.

But whatever it is it gave the Broncos a quick start and even quicker win.

NFL 2015 Week 12: San Diego Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, November 29, 1:00 PM, EverBank Field

The Chargers entered Sunday’s game having lost six games in a row, but that ended after this game when they beat the Jaguars by six points. Both teams will be staying home this postseason, having to watch the games like the fans, on TV, rather than play in them themselves. Jacksonville is third in their division, and San Diego is fourth in theirs.

Philip Rivers completed 29 passes after 43 attempts, throwing for 300 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. He is now tied with Vinny Testaverde for eleventh for all time touchdown passes; he passed Joe Montana in this game as well. He now has 275 TD passes.

Blake Bortles completed 30 passes after 49 attempts, throwing for 329 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

In the first half, the Chargers moved the ball into the red zone three times, and scored touchdowns on all three; while Jacksonville was only able to score one touchdown in four red zone trips.

San Diego led at halftime 21-9, scoring all 21 of their points in the second quarter. The second half, the Jaguars exploded by scoring sixteen points (thirteen were in the fourth quarter) to the Chargers’s ten points. This second half resurgence was not enough to stop the Chargers.

NFL 2015 Week 11: San Diego Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, November 22, 8:30 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs delivered what is one of the most devastating defeats of the night as well as the season by beating the San Diego Chargers 33 – 3. The KC Chiefs defense looks solid now more than ever and it is due to this that they were able to keep any attempts by the Chargers for a touchdown at bay. This means that the Chargers now have a six game losing streak and it is no looking good for them at all. The offense of the Chiefs as well as the defense was just the show of the game and this is what delivered them the victory.

Charcandrick West scored his first NFL touchdown in this game. According to stats, Dontari Poe, the heaviest NFL player at the moment scored his offensive touchdown which is also a record in the NFL history. At halftime, the San Diego Chargers’ LaDainian Tomlinson was inducted into the hall of fame and his famous number 21 was retired. Three players suffered concussions with tow from the Chargers with RT Joe Barksdale suffering a hip injury. The game was mostly one sided and this is why the Chiefs carried the day but they deserved it as the Chargers never showed zeal to win this game.

NFL 2015 Week 9: San Diego Chargers vs Chicago Bears on Monday, November 09, 8:30 PM, Qualcomm Stadium

This Monday Night Football game featured two teams who, nine weeks into the football season, probably are not going to the playoffs this season. The Chargers extended it’s losing streak to five games, and the Bears snapped their two game losing streak. That does not mean, however, the game was not a thrilling game to watch; even though there was only eighteen points scored in the fourth quarter.

Jay Cutler led his team to victory with 345 yards through the air, with two passing touchdowns, one lost fumble, one interception, and 27 completions after 40 attempts. His two touchdown passes in the game broke the previous Bears touchdown pass record of 139 held by Sid Luckman.

Philip Rivers had 26 completions of his own on 42 attempts that racked up 280 yards and one touchdown, and no interceptions.

The Bears were down thirteen points after two quick touchdowns, one of which on an interception was returned for a touchdown. This turned the game around because after this, the Bears started to get something going, scoring a touchdown in the second quarter while only allowing another field goal. But, the Bears would score fifteen points in the fourth quarter in comeback fashion to erase a nine point deficit (16-7) against the Chargers, who only scored three points in the second half.

NFL 2015 Week 8: San Diego Chargers at Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, November 01, 1:00 PM, M&T Bank Stadium

On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens found a way to win a close game. During the final play, Justin Tucker kicked a 39-yard field goal overcoming another record-setting performance by Philip Rivers in the 29 – 26 victory on Sunday. The Ravens win came with a price where Steve Smith tore his right Achillies tendon in the third quarter and will not be playing again this season. San Diego has lost on the games final play for the third time this season. The game was competitive which saw both quarterbacks, Joe Flacco, who is the Raves quarterback completed 25 of 37 passes for 319-yards including a touchdown and no interceptions.

The Oakland Raiders showed great maturity by ensuring that they bagged the win even when the San Diego Chargers looked like they could make a dramatic ending. However, Raiders need to be careful not to repeat some notable mistakes. They completely dominated the game but nearing to the end, they relaxed a bit providing Chargers with an opportunity to pounce back. Amari Cooper had a very incredible match. He was the man who engineered the win with his amazing displays throughout the game. Basically, this player was just unstoppable.

Both the offense and the defense did a good job. There was a time when both teams had equal opportunities to seal the match but the Raiders were just too good to lose their win.

San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns engaged in a tight tussle on the 4th October 2014 whereby the former secured a very close win against the latter. San Diego Chargers was fortunate enough to secure a win of 30 against their opponents who lost with 27 points. However, Chargers could have secured a more commanding win of 39 points only that their opponents managed to save the situation.

The browns ought to have beefed up their defense from the beginning. Leading sport analysts pointed fingers to the defense of the Browns and said that the loss could have been avoided if only they had a better mechanism at the scoring end.

The Browns strikers did so well on their part. They were able to combat the strong defense wall put by the Chargers. Despite the heavy challenge, the Browns still made it possible to hit 27 points and register a very close loss to their opponents.

Now the challenge is thrown to the defense team. Perhaps the Chargers Administration should consider recruiting at least one more defense team player. That way, it will be much easier to combat even stronger teams in the long run. The Browns cannot afford to lose any more matches since the competition landscape is quite steep already.

It was obvious that Mike Zimmer’s philosophy Sunday was Blitz, blitz, blitz, then repeat. The philosophy worked with interrupting Rivers’ quick passing game.

Adrian Peterson took some time getting going during the game, but the second half bruising back bulldozed defenders. He obliterated a defender with a stiff arm, running through Eric Weddle as if the safety was invisible for a 43-yard TD. Coming back strong, Peterson scored twice on Sunday. He had not had a TD since 2013. Holding at 126 yards on the ground.Teddy Bridgewater also struggled to get the act together early in the first part of the game, throwing off his back foot although steading later when the ground game started.

Bridgewater got his opening when Chargers corner Jason Verrett went out with a foot injury and Brandon Flowers was inactive due to a different injury, depleting the San Diego secondary count press receivers. Though the biggest headline of the game would be Norv Turner’s return to Minnesota Vikings stadium after he was fired from the Vikings back in 2012.

Whenever things went wrong last season, the Detroit Lions usually relied on their second-ranked defense to help them out of trouble. The Lions, who allowed the third-fewest and second-fewest points in the league last season, gave up 483 total yards in the season opener.
