Most memorable and not so good moments in 2013

Given the changes that took place at Halas Hall, 2013 was without doubt going to be a transition year for the Chicago Bears. Out went Lovie Smith, the coach who led them to 3 division titles and in came Marc Trestman, a man accredited with remarkable offensive credentials. To enhance their game play, the Bears also signed left tackle Jermon Bushrod and right guard Kyle Long as well as tight end Martellus Bennett.

However, no sooner had the season started than the team was rocked with a number of injuries and they were highly criticized with their ineffective style of play. In one way or the other, the Chicago Bears still emerged as worthy playoff contenders later in the year despite the shaky start. I you didn’t always manage to watch Bears games, you may have missed some of their best and not so good moments in 2013.

The Night McCown Brought Dallas to a Standstill on Dikta Day

The Bears were out to celebrate Dikta’s illustrious career both as a Hall of Fame player and a Super Bowl winning coach. After Dikta’s emotional speech to a thrilled home crowd, McCown made December 10 2013 a night to remember when he completed 27 of 36 passes for 348 yards and 4 touchdowns to garner a quarterback rating of 141.9. That performance that you could easily follow watching a chicago bears live stream, saw him named as the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after sending the Soldier Field fans in to a frenzy.

Back to Back Comeback Wins at the Start of the Season

The Chicago Bears Schedule 2013 started on a high when Jay Cutler, the sensational quarterback led them to back to back comeback victories. They rallied back on from a 21-10 third quarter difference to rout the Cincinnati Benglas 24-21 in the first week.

The following week, through Cutler’s guidance, they came back to beat Minnesota Vikings 31-30 after he connected with Bennett for the match-winning 16 yard countdown with 10 seconds remaining on the clock. Another memorable game in 2013 for the Bears was their 27-20 over Packers in Green Bay, the first since 2007.

One of the games that Chicago Bears fans and player would love to forget in 2013 was the meltdown in Metrodome when they gave away a 20-10 fourth quarter lead and eventually lost to the Minnesota Vikings 23-20 on December 1. The 54-11 demolition by the Philadelphia Eagles in week 16 easily passes as the worst for the Bears in the past decade but the season finale loss 33-28 against the Packers was the worst game in the team’s NFL 2013 campaign. The Bears were so close to winning the NFC North crown and it all went up in flames with only 46 seconds remaining.

The NFL 2013 season may not have been the best for the Chicago Bears, but if they’re not rocked by injuries in 2014, you will certainly see a very successful team while you watch Chicago Bears online.
